Author's Note: Here's an explanation for those who've never heard of the Cannonball Run:

Back in the 80's a film called 'The Cannonball Run' was released. This was about an anything-goes, all-stops-out (and not forgetting highly illegal) race competition. Many signed to enter. This film boasted a star studded cast as well, with actors such as Roger Moore, Farrah Fawcett, Burt Reynolds, Dom Deluise, Jackie Chan, Jamie Farr, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr.. Then later 'Cannonball Run 2 was released. This had pretty much the same plot as the first one but it brought more stars into the race such as Richard Kiel (Jaws from James Bond), Frank Sinatra, Shirley MacLaine, Don Knotts, Telly Savalas, Catherine Bach, Susan Anton, Jim Nabors and many of those from the Godfather movies. Though the two 'Cannonball Run' movies weren't a great success, I think they're both pretty awesome films in my view. I suggest you try renting both films at Blockbuster Video and prepare yourself for a treat.

Prologue

The Mysterious Letter

"Hey, JJ." Said one of his workers. "How long now has it been since that race?"

JJ McClure bobbed his head out from the car's engine that he was examining. He sighed and tried to think back to that year. It only seemed like yesterday when the second Cannonball Run had finished. But that all went almost two decades ago.

"Too long. Too long." He answered shaking his head. "Me and Victor have promised not to race in another Cannonball since, gosh, those were the days. I guess they really changed the hell out of us. And we came out with nothing. Oh, well."

"JJ! Come here quick!" Cried Victor scampering across their large garage store. "This is so amazing!"

"What is it, Victor?" JJ moaned "Is this about your hamster again?"

"Come! Look at this! You're not gonna believe your eyes!" Victor handed JJ an open envelope.

"This better not be another one of those damn chain letters." JJ slipped out the white paper inside. It said:

Dear JJ McClure and Victor Prinzey,

You have been invited to become the head managers of the next Cannonball race. You two are the finest people I have seen in the last few races and it would be an honor if you could join me and bring the Cannonball back to the streets. I know this may be a little scary yet exciting for you. But please have a think about it, and when you're ready, head to New York City to meet me and my crew. I'll be waiting.

A white Countach car runs at about 155 miles per hour. It then stops by a speed limit sign. The doors fling open revealing four women. Lara Croft and Amara, in black leather bodysuits, and Michelle and Joanna Dark, in purple leather bodysuits, got out of their white Lamborghini Countach car called the Stiletto. Joanna went up to the speed limit sign and saw that the limit was 55 miles per hour. She then got out a sign and stuck it on the speed limit sign, making the speed limit 155 miles per hour. Lara whistled at Joanna as she heard sirens of police cars becoming louder. Joanna, Amara, Michelle and Lara quickly jumped back into the Stiletto. When they were all seated, Lara drove off with five police cars on their tail.

Unknown to the police cars, a raid plane and an attack chopper were hovering above them. Lara and Joanna, in the chopper looked at Amara and Michelle to see how they were doing in raid plane. The four smiled at each other as they flew on.
