Gama's Blood Crystal

Congratulations to me since I have now finally gotten off my lazy ass and rewritten this story to disclude (real word?) all unimportant author's notes and various elements of my story that just didn't work right. It's darker now, my main character is actually in character, and some other good shit is sorta added. Hopefully this will now flow a little better and a few things will make more sense. Now enjoy, worry not about the Japanese as it will be translated at the bottom of each chapter, and review! You'd be surprised at how much authors like reviews (but I ain't begging. If ya have nothing ta say, then don't!). :) O yeah, Vegeta may end up being written Vejita in chapters 11 and on, and I use the word Saiya-jin rather than Saiyan.

Chapter 1: Life as we know it....

Life is strange. One minute your world is pure hell, the next everything is so confusing you just think it's only gotten worse. Which is odd in it of itself since the ensuing confusion is actually far better than what you went thru before. But that's just life for you… …just life… heh. Everybody lives their lives, but I doubt anyone truly knows how to do anything beyond existing. And those that do know how are quickly taught to forget. I don't even remember if I ever thought life was full of wonder or that it was precious. I just know what's now. What I have to do to just survive the day. I don't even look ahead in my life to see what the future could hold. To be honest, I'm afraid to. So afraid… I'm afraid of so many things, yet you wouldn't be able to tell that from just looking at me. To strangers who don't know me, I'm a very cold, apathetic person. They see me as capable of taking care of myself and then some. …A very strong, very heartless little girl… But I'm no girl. Little girls don't know what I know. And those strangers aren't anyone to me. They don't know me and they never will. Hell, no one really knows me. Just the girl who sits in the back of class looking annoyed all the time. The girl who keeps to herself. Little daddy's whore… Strange, mysterious… Witch… And who watches a very calming show called DragonBall Z. Feh. At least I thought it was a show…

~~~~~~~~
A young, 15 year old girl lay asleep on the grass, visible thru a crystal ball that is before them. She had long, dirty, blond hair pulled into a half-ponytail with loose strands surrounding her face. She was small, couldn't have been more than 5'2", and very skinny. The clothing she was wearing almost drowned her slight frame and was of a kind that all looking at her had never seen before. To us, it was black jeans and a black, oversized, slightly ripped T-shirt. And she wasn't wearing any shoes. On top of this, she had a huge, nasty-looking bruise across her left cheek, another on her upper right arm, a bloody lip, and probably other injuries not visible to the onlookers.
The small group of hooded figures looked at the younger girl's crumpled form. One speaks: "Is she the one we've been looking for?" A murmur ripples thru the small crowd; all there are wondering the same thing.
Another hooded figure speaks: "I believe so. She has the blood in her… However faint, it is still there."
The first hooded figure slightly nods his head. Then says "Will her injuries prevent her from being brought here?"
A different hooded figure: "The wounds are not too extensive, but we do not know where she is. We run the risk of sending her to another dimension or even another time."
First hooded figure pauses for a moment. Then: "As long as there is no chance of her dying, that is a risk we will have to take. Bring her here. There is always the possibility that we can search for her again, now that we know who she is."
The other hooded figures nod their heads and get into position in front of a stone slab with inscriptions carved into it. The first figure joins them and then leads them into a chant. As they continue their chanting, the inscriptions on the slab start to glow with a green color.
Meanwhile, on the Crystal ball, the young girl opens her green eyes as the sky begins to darken, looking up at the stormy clouds that are quickly forming. At the same time, a thick blue liquid forms underneath her. It resembles water, but moves too slowly and is far too dense to be such. The young girl looks down in confusion, as if sensing the liquid's presence, and looks shocked. She tries to move cautiously away from it, but finds that she cannot move at all. Which starts to frighten her and cause her to rapidly begin to struggle violently. But to no avail. She cannot budge an inch, and the sky is getting stormier all the while, causing a strong wind to blow across the grass.
The chanting from the hooded figures gets louder with an echoing after sound, and a mysterious wind starts to blow slowly around them. Back on the crystal ball, it is obvious that this storm will be huge. And as it starts to rain on the 15 year old, lightning is seen and thunder heard. The girl doesn't pay any attention to the storm, as she is rapidly sinking into the liquid, and falling in swifter and swifter by the minute.
Back with the hooded figures, immense ki flows around them and thru the inscriptions on the stone. As the figures continue chanting and drawing on all the power that they can manage, something goes wrong. One of the figures gasps in pain and falls to the floor. Soon after, another one faints, and a few others drop to the floor in pain.
The head hooded figure yells: "Keep chanting! We have to get her here or she'll be lost from us! Put all of your energies into this!"
A few hooded figures take a deep breath and manage to get up and continue chanting, but only to have the others who hadn't fallen before now collapse. The head hooded figure is putting all her strength into this spell like the others, but soon she is the only one still standing. She's breathing very hard and then falls to her knees. But she keeps trying to get the girl there as best she can, no longer caring if it's even safe for her. In the end, she fails. And before she loses consciousness, she utters only one word that conveys all the despair she is feeling at having lost the 15 year old: "No…" Then darkness claims her…
~~~~~~~~

The wind at first had felt cool, but then the chill had woken me. I looked up to see a storm coming, and tho it looked powerful, I knew I would want to be in it. I loved storms far too much not too. And then it appeared. Something underneath me suddenly lit up the area and I looked down. I wasn't sure what it had been, but I didn't want to find out just yet and so I tried to move away. That's when the fear started to grip me. I couldn't move. At all. I was struggling as hard as I could to get away from it, but I couldn't move any part of my body that was connected to the strange material. And I was starting to sink. I knew I was starting to freak out, but I just wanted to get away, and soon my head was submerging. I took what I thought to be my last breath of air and shuddered against the spider web feeling that encased me as I was pulled thru.

The feelings and images that followed were blurred together since I soon felt something else pulling me in another direction than the original. It was as if my body didn't belong to me any longer as I was suddenly thrown into what felt like a tug-of-war between 2 forces. In my weakened state, I would've been in pain anyways from the environment I was in, but these forces were tearing me apart. I don't know if I screamed, but it felt like it. I think I coughed up blood too as the pain began to rapidly increase. …such intense pain... And then this horrible burning sensation started as well, almost immediately enveloping my body. God the heat! Searing my flesh as if my very soul were on fire. As if I were being burned alive…

I'm so sore… I could barely breathe and I almost knew that I was beginning to lose consciousness from it all. And it still burned…All my flesh…So hot… Where had it come from!? What was going on!? I hated it… First father again…then the liquid…Was that liquid acid? I don't think I care…My breathing was now getting ragged. That's when I completely freaked out.

Where am I? What the hell is going on?! Where is this heat coming from?? And it's getting hotter… So hot… I could feel the tears sliding down my agonized face. Go away!! I can't breathe! Let me breathe! It's so hot! …! I try to calm down, and scream out No! I made a promise!! A promise to myself! I will survive anything and everything life throws. I'm not a coward! I survived my father, my mother, life itself… I won't let a little pain take me out like this! I don't know where I am and I don't care! I willlive! I willbreathe! I don't care how much it hurts! …God the pain is so intense… No! Fuck you!! I WILL LIVE!!!

And then she opens her eyes partway. Her breathing is shallow and rapid. And she feels an overwhelming amount of exhaustion that barely hides the pain she had been feeling moments earlier. A cold breeze blows gently across her face. She tries to open her eyes further, but only gets them half open. She can barely make out columns and stonewalls and white. So many white rocks under her... Meh? Her thoughts are a confused sigh. She would look around more, try to figure out where she was, but she couldn't seem to find the energy to even care. She closes her eyes as a wave of dizziness swallows her suddenly and she starts losing consciousness, too tired to bother fighting it. So tired… she even ignores the sound of quiet talking not too far from her…

~~~~~~~~
They look at her. All 5 of them. The young girl looked like hell; her semi-charred flesh making her previous injuries almost invisible. They look at each other, unsure of what to do with her. She had just appeared so suddenly with such a huge power level. Yet now they couldn't feel any ki emanating from her at all. Perhaps it had something to do with the fact that they couldn't use their powers at all. Yet they could still at least sense each other. And then the way she had just shown up… Was that the same way they had gotten there as well? Just suddenly appearing from the middle of the air and dropping thru a portal? This place was really starting to get to them.
A tall man with wild, black hair, black eyes, and a confused, yet kind expression spoke up first. "Maybe we should wake her up?"
Another man, leaning against the wall, shrugged at this. He too had black eyes and wild, black hair. Tho his hair was a lot longer. And flame shaped. "Then what are we waiting for? She may have the answers we need to get the hell out of here."
A different man spoke. He looked like the younger version of the first man who had spoken. "She looks like she's been thru a really tough battle. Why would she know anything?"
Yet another one speaks. Like all the rest, he too had black hair and black eyes. "Maybe she was fighting whoever locked us down here."
The small group look at one another, still unsure. Suddenly, the sound of movement is heard outside the room and all quickly look to it. They couldn't sense anything at all. But with the appearance of the girl, they were now starting to suspect that something was indeed down there with them. Just as quickly as they heard the noise, it disappears. Staying in this dimly lit room was definitely looking to be a bad idea.
