Ryo would never figure out how Dee had gotten the tickets to the opera, let alone Phantom of the Opera. The female lead was one of the best newcommers on the seen, having had stared in a few other musicals so far, each one being a great hit.

A deep bass sang out quietly, starting just loud enough to be heard, then filling the opra house with it's voice.

I gave you my music . . .
made your song take wing . . .
and now, how you've
repaid me:
denied me
and betrayed me . . .
He was bound to love you
when he heard you sing . . .

Christine ...
Christine ...

Two voices sang together now, one beautiful alto, paired with a soft tennor.

Say you'll share with
me one
love, one lifetime . . .
say the word
and I will follow you . . .

The bass was back.

Go!!

The tennor started up as a crash of glass was heard somewhere in the playhouse.

Share each day with
me, each
night, each morning . . .

You will curse the day
you did not do
all that the Phantom asked
of you . . .!

The lights began to flicker and Dee tensed. Ryo smiled at him. "Relax, this is part of the show," He whispered. The bass started up again. The girl stepped into sight on the stage slowly. The woman's voice sang on as the deeper voice kept ordering her to. The last note, she held for a few seconds. The lights went out and when they came back on a young man was dressed in a fine suit.

No more talk
of darkness,
Forget these
wide-eyed fears.
I'm here,
nothing can harm you -
my words will
warm and calm you.

Let me be
your freedom,
let daylight
dry -your tears.
I'm here,
with you, beside you,
to guard you
and to guide you . . .

The woman started singing. Ryo smiled finaly having a face to go with the angelic voice. She had short reddish blonde hair that was curled to look longer. She was dressed in a simple gown and had her eyes closed.

Say you love me
every
waking moment,
turn my head
with talk of summertime . . .

Say you need me
with you,
now and always . . .
promise me that all
you say is true -
that's all I ask
of you . . .

Dee snuggled closer to Ryo as the young man sang. "Tell me when it starts to get good." He whispered. Ryo shot him a glare and caught the grin on Dee's face. Dee was paying attention as well.

Let me be
your shelter,
let me
be your light.
You're safe:
No-one will find you
your fears are
far behind you . . .

She opened her eyes, soft green eyes looking out over the crowd. The angelic face looked at each member of the audience, as if to let them know she saw them.

All I want
is freedom,
a world with
no more night . . .
and you
always beside me
to hold me
and to hide me . . .

The young man moved closer to the woman, touching her shoulder lightly. She looked at him as he sang.

Then say you'll share with
me one
love, one lifetime . . .
Iet me lead you
from your solitude . . .

Say you need me
with you
here, beside you . . .
anywhere you go,
let me go too -
Christine,
that's all I ask
of you . . .

She nodded slightly and sang out, Ryo wrapped an arm around Dee's shoulder. Dee gave a small smile.

Say you'll share with
me one
love, one lifetime . . .
say the word
and I will follow you . . .

Both sang out the next verse staying close.

Share each day with
me, each
night, each morning . . .

Her voice was begging him in a heart felt way.

Say you love me . . .

The man smiled at her.

You know I do . . .

They came closer to each other. both letting their voices mingle.

Love me -
that's all I ask
of you . . .

A small kiss brought cheers to all the couples in the crowd. Dee sat up kissing Ryo quickly as well making his lover smile at him.

Anywhere you go
let me go too . . .
Love me -
that's all I ask
of you . .

The woman was held in spotlight as the man stepped back off stage. She looked up as if coming out of a daydream.

As the play proceeded a man near Ryo and Dee kept a close watch on the female lead. Dee noticed Ryo was wrapped in the play to notice. When the play broke for intermission the cast disappeared. Ryo and dee stood walking into the lobby for a few moments.

"Detective, thank you for coming... There's been another incident around Drew." Dee looked at the man who had walked up to the two of them.

"When?"

"A moment ago. She walked into her dressing room and found three black roses."
