Author's Note: I am sorry for writing an Author's Note. But this one is important. My dog passed away at 5:00 April 6, 2004. It has now been twenty minutes since the vet's office called and told us. I am dedicating this poem to him. His name was Bailey and he was a wonderful companion. He was a Golden Retriever and one of the beautiful ones I have seen. He was around six years old. His birthday would have been this month. I will miss him greatly.
