Epilogue

Mrs. Higurashi watched from the door as her daughter and daughter's lover walked to the well house. It warmed her heart to see the love between the young couple. Although she had never in her wildest dreams imagined that the love of her daughter's life would be this rough, temperamental, and wild boy who was not even all human, she believed that love was love. It found you and swept you up with no rhyme or reason. And in her heart she trusted this untamed, sexy, powerful youth to protect her daughter. Intuitively, she knew his heart and loyalty were true and to be trusted.

As she closed the door, she reflected on what a rough time these two had had recently. It amazed her that her daughter held up so well under such pressure. She always knew her Kagome was strong - she had seen it in her ever since her husband, Kagome and Sota's father, had died. But to keep it together under the overwhelming onslaught of her lover's condition while taking her exams was to be truly commended.

Mrs. Higurashi bent and picked up her copy of the Japan Times at the threshold of the doorway. Then she went and made herself a cup of tea, and sat down to relax and read the paper. Sipping her tea, her eyes were drawn to an article heading.

Mysterious Lovers Spotted Again

Harajuku, Tokyo - Last night in Harajuku, the mysterious and beautiful young lovers were said to be spotted again. The young people at Club Moishi Moishi were all buzzing about the couple seen on the dance floor. The young man's striking long silver hair and golden eyes created quite a stir among the young women there that night.

Rumor has it that they were seen on the express train that night. The young lovers were glimpsed by other travelers, pursuing their passion for each other in an otherwise empty train car. Their beauty and intensity left some wondering if what they saw could be real.

But we all know that they are real. The affect they have on the club goers of Harajuku when they appear is too real to be denied. And the magic that is left in their wake will go down in Harajuku legend. - Kaoru Yamagata

`Well,' thought Mrs. Higurashi, `I guess it was to be expected. But I'm glad that Kagome and InuYasha left before seeing this. Still, maybe I will keep this article.'

Smiling she put down the paper and shook her head.

`Poor, sweet, love-besotted kids.'
