Kagome! Where are you?!
1. Chapter 35: Vampire world, part 2.

Author's note: In Chapter 34, Kagome & Sesshomaru sat outside the village and "talked." I had
a reviewer ask about what they talked about . . . so . . . Kagome started to tell Sesshomaru about
various horror movies/tv shows/animes that she had seen, to give him some idea about what the
monsters in the world are possibly like.

How to explain the concept I am working from . . . in many movies/novels . . . it is a good vs.
evil fight, which good always wins. Well . . in this case. Dracula made a deal with Satan in 1500
to rule the world . . . and Dracula won . . .

Remember: Dracula or Vlad Tepes, The Vampire Emperor has ruled the world for hundreds of
years . . . so . . . things are different. This is not some vampire romance . . .

I will be using Vlad Tepes as his name, not Dracula.

________________________

Vlad Tepes, the Vampire emperor, stares into a large full-length mirror.

He is seated on his black marble throne. The marble is so black, it seems to absorb all the light
that strikes it . . .

In the mirror he can see Sesshomaru destroying the village (from Ch 34). ‘Odd . . . very odd.
Random destruction is not a sign of a good person. Yet . . . the aura of purity from the woman
was plain. So . . . why? If he is evil . . . why is she still alive, and apparently free.' he thinks.

"Let go of me!" Kagome screams!

He looks around.

Kagome is being held by a devilish figure, as she is dragged into the throne room. She is
struggling, biting, kicking and generally trying to escape.

The room they are in is a large room, a large dark room, the only light is by huge red candles.
Standing in the shadows around the edges of the room are a number of shadowy manlike shapes.
Everybody in the room is wearing dark clothes and cloaks. Any weapons that they are wearing
are concealed by the cloaks.

Vlad Tepes is the exception. He is wearing dark blood red clothes, with a red cloak. Around his
neck is a large golden chain, hanging from it and an upside down cross. A nude woman is being
crucified on it. A large bejeweled sword is hanging from his waist.

"Who are you?" Vlad Tepes growls at Kagome.

"You're the boss?" she asks. ‘I hate being kidnapped. And now . . . I think that I've met the boss.
He is giving off some of the most evil vibes I've felt. So . . . let's really try to escape and destroy
him.' she thinks.

"He is The Emperor of the World, Vlad Tepes" one of the shadowy figures hisses at Kagome.
"He is your master, human scum."

"Good." Kagome grabs the devil and her hand glows.

The devil screams, shudders, and fades away.

The shadowy figures in the room gasp, the flames from the candles shake.

They move in to attack Kagome.

Kagome glows .

The figures retreat.

Kagome charges Vlad Tepes, her hands glowing. ‘Attack. Keep your foes off balance. Figure out
what's what with the fight when it stops. It's an Inu-yasha plan through and through. But . . I can
feel the evil in this room, in this building . . . I've got no other choice.' she thinks as she charges.

Vlad Tepes stands up and smiles, his fangs showing, ‘Foolish human. I've been a vampire for
more than five hundred years, and I've fought many, many good and powerful humans.
Defeating and corrupting them is easy.'

Kagome jumps on and grabs The Emperor, her hands glowing as she tries to purify him . . .

Vlad Tepes's face, changes into pure shock, as he finally reacts to Kagome's attack. He cuffs her
across the skull, causing her to fly away from him. Kagome lands heavily on the floor . .
unconscious . . .

He pulls out the upside cross and he examines it. ‘I made this four hundred years ago. Ruth, who
now rules Jerusalem for me, first came to my attention when she surprised me, with her power
and purity, as she prevented me from conquering Jerusalem. For twenty years she withstood my
attacks . . . and if the Pope and Caliph of Islam had actually worked together, under her
leadership, they might have stopped me. But . . . they never would follow the orders of a Jewish
female, no matter how powerful and wise.' He grins as he remembers, ‘But . . . I, finally, broke
through her defenses. And captured her.'

He fingers what remains of the figure. It is blackened like it was in a fire. ‘When I corrupted her
. . . we made this, combining her virgin blood, my blood, and her blood as a new vampire. It has
protected me from many attacks. And if I had waited any longer . . . this woman would have
broken it and actually hurt me . . . '

"Now. I've got to remake this." he hisses as he replaces the cross. "And I will use her blood."

He glares at Kagome.

Vlad Tepes, Dracula, looks at the unconscious Kagome. "Powerful." he states. "With every
generation the world finds a new power to oppose me. She, like all the rest, will fail."

He turns to his servants.
"Take her to the smoke room. After a few hours of breathing magically enhanced opium
designed to destroy any will, she will beg me to make her . . . my slave." His long fangs pulse
with pleasure at the thought of corrupting Kagome . .

A few of the shadowy figures in the room gather about Kagome, bind her in black silken ropes
and carry her away.

"Who is she?" he growls.

None of the shadowy figures in the room answer . .

He turns to the large full-length mirror.

"Magic Mirror . . . answer the question." Vlad Tepes orders.

An elongated, pasty human face appears in the mirror. "Lord."

"If I have to remake you, again . . . "he threatens.

The mirror thinks, ‘He's broken and hurt me many times . . . I must answer his questions to the
best of my abilities . . . but . . . something about these two is telling me to resist him this time . . .
perhaps . . if he doesn't ask . . . I won't tell him. And I might be able to distract him . . . '

"She is Kagome Higurashi." The mirror pauses, "However. There are now two Kagome
Higurashi's in this world, where there had only been one."

"Explain."

"In Japan, in the province of Musashi, there is a Kagome Higurashi. She will turn fifteen
tomorrow. The woman that was in this room is also Kagome Higurashi." The Mirror clears its
throat. "There is a huge amount of magic around her, lord. She is older than fifteen, but I don't
know by how much."

"Do you know anything else about the woman that was in this room?"

"She appeared, with her companion Sesshomaru, a few hours ago. Where they appeared from, I
do not know. Everything else about her is a mystery. Very powerful magic surrounds her. Time-
based magic."

"Hmmm . . " Vlad Tepes murmurs as he thinks, ‘Yes. Time spells are the spells hardest to cast.
And even Satan hesitates to cast them.'

"Her companion?" he asks the mirror.

"Sesshomaru. He is the first born son of the giant white dog demon, Inu-taisho. He has been
dead for close to five hundred years."

"He's very much alive now, mirror. Explanation?"

"None that I know of Lord. He just appeared, without warning or notice."

"Inu-taisho? Related to . . . " Vlad frowns, trying to remember. "What is the name of that white-
haired demon-vampire thug of the Shogun's?"

"The name is Inu-yasha, Lord. And, yes, the two are related. Sesshomaru is his older half-brother."

"Hmmm." Vlad thinks. "Anything else?"

‘I won't tell him about that sword, but . . . ' the mirror thinks. "In his possession is a device of
near elemental chaos, lord. Powerful extra dimensional chaos."

"So . . . that is what brought them here?"

"That is my guess, lord."

Vlad Tepes thinks, ‘hmmm . . . I've faced extra dimensional foes before. But . . . the spells that
brought them here were unusable by me. I wonder about that possession . . . '

"Describe that possession." he orders.

"It is a metal cube. It fits into a large hand."

‘I must remember that and upon his death, study that device.' he thinks. ‘Satan has mentioned
other dimensions, but the price he wants for the ability to travel between them . . . It is too great.
Perhaps this cube . . . ' A pause, as the emperor considers what to do with Kagome, ‘She is
Japanese . . . so, I had better use a Japanese demon with her.'

He orders, "Summon Hachi to me."

One of the shadowy figures leaves the room.

"Lord Emperor!" A man-shaped figure walks into the throne room. He has blood red skin and
short curved horns on his head. He is nude and blood is dripping from where his manhood
should be. One of his arms is broken. His legs are goat-shaped. He is covered in blood, his blood.

"Sir. The creature known as Sesshomaru escaped us and is on his way here, Lord."

"I saw." Vlad Tepes says, "and I heard his demands. You may leave."

He leaves.

"Summon Phocas, the head of the human troops." the emperor orders.

A few minutes passes . . .

Hachi a raccoon-like demon, a Tanuki (a demon from Japan,) enters the room. He is skittish and
jumpy, a very nervous demon . . .

He bows before Vlad Tepes. He goes down onto his belly, prostrating himself before his lord and
master.

In a very shaky voice he asks, while still looking at the floor, "Lord. I, Hachi, have come as you
desired. What is thy wish my lord?"

"In the smoke room, there is a human girl. Her name is Kagome Higurashi. You will join her
there and tend to her wounds. You will become her friend."

"Yes, lord. Whatever you say, lord."

"Within limits you may speak of whatever you like, in order to gain that friendship." A pause,
"But, you will gain it and you will find out her history and origins."

"As you command, lord."

"Hachi." Vlad commands in a cold voice.

"Yes, lord?"

"Do not let your addiction to opium overwhelm your good senses. If your report is not pleasing
to me, I will destroy you."

"I understand, lord."

"Leave. Go to smoke room and begin to make friends with the woman there." the emperor orders.

Hachi leaves the room.

A couple of minutes later .

A human in full medieval plate armor enters the room. Draped over the steel metal chest plate is
a black robe. On the robe is a symbol of a dragon, its wings extended, hanging from an upside
down cross. The symbol for the empire of Vlad Tepes . . .

With a clang, he also bends down before the Emperor. "Lord Emperor. I have come."

"Ah . . . Phocas. You may raise and look upon me." Phocas does so.

Vlad turns to the magic mirror. "Show me a map of the area. Mark on it Sesshomaru's position,
speed and direction." He orders.

The mirror gives Vlad the map he ordered.

"Take three thousand men. Go to the village of Sisli." Vlad points to make sure that there is no
misunderstanding, "Once there, place two thousand men in the village. Have them place
themselves in defensive positions in the village. Place the other one thousand men in the woods
just outside the village."

"Yes. Sir."

"Travel there as quickly as possible. You have my permission to kill horses getting there. I want
you in position by noon. Understood?"

"Yes. Sir." A pause, "May I ask?"

"If he continues at the same speed and in the same direction, a being will enter that village
around mid-afternoon. Show him a picture of Sesshomaru, mirror."

The mirror complies with that instruction.

"His name is Sesshomaru. You are to attack and kill him. Let him enter the village. He will
attack the soldiers in the village. As he is distracted, use the other thousand soldiers outside the
village to attack him."

"Sir. It will be done." Phocas stands, turns and leaves the room.

‘Hmmm. I don't like sending most of my human soldiers away, but . . . my instincts are telling
me, not to treat this Sesshomaru lightly. And humans are expendable. I just have to remember to
shift replacements to the city. Ever since I conquered the world, there hasn't been real need for
large numbers of human troops. The only other large groups are near the rain forests.'

He frowns as he thinks, ‘Running water . . . it is so hard for most vampires to cross. So what free
humans that are left alive have retreated into the rainforests . . . and my armies near them are
destroying the rainforests as per my orders. Still . . . I will transfer troops back here to replace
those he will kill.'

He rubs his chin, thinking, ‘And . . . the mirror's report . . . I think it is hiding something from
me. So . . let's see what Hell can tell me about them.'

"I am going to the chapel of Hagia Sophia. Have a child sacrifice ready." the emperor orders.

He leaves the room.

*******************

The sanctuary of Hagia Sophia was once the greatest Christian church in the world. When
Justinian the Great rebuilt it he proclaimed, "O Solomon, I have vanquished you!"

Now . . . it is the greatest Satanic church in the world. The beautiful marbles that were used in its
construction still gleam . . . but . . . instead of murals of the acts of God and Jesus . . . the murals
are of Satan and his destruction of Heaven . . .

The great huge gold inlayed dome, whose windows at it's base had once let in the sunlight to
brighten the church . . Now, those windows are gone . . . and only a dark and brooding blackness
is visible should a person try to look up . . .

The altar table is still solid gold . . . but all the blood that has been spilled on the altar has turned
the gold red . . .

Through the centuries . . . millions have died on this table . . .

The emperor stands over the altar, on it is a dead bloody baby, its heart is cut out.

Shadowy figures stand away from the altar . . chanting . . .

Next to the altar . . . sulfurous smoke rises and a beautiful, shapely female, with small bat wings
appears, a succubus. She purrs, "Lord Vlad Tepes . . . it's been awhile." she smiles, sexily.

"You were not summoned for that, Eldonna."

She sighs, "Yes, Higurashi Kagome and Sesshomaru."

He nods. "What can you tell me about them?"

"They are travelers to this world. They were not born here. And . . . the time travel and chaos
magic that surrounds them makes them wildcards. Kagome's actions especially, cannot be
predicted by magic."

"An interesting challenge. The mirror told me about a Kagome Higurashi that is currently in
Japan?"

She nods. "We are aware of her. We told the Shogun about her three years ago, when her
growing power became evident."

"And the Shogun has done what to that girl?"

"Waited, watched, and planned elaborate schemes for her."

In a cold voice, The Emperor of the World, states, "I've warned Naraku, before. You don't play
around when Hell," he nods to the Eldonna, "tells you of a potential threat. You either corrupt or
kill that threat. You don't play with them. He's done that before and he has just barely survived."

He turns to one of the shadowy figures, "Order the Shogun of Japan, Naraku, here. He is to bring
me the head, and only the head, of Kagome Higurashi."

The figure nods and leaves.

‘It will take a couple of days for that order to get to him, and have him react to it, so . . . I have a
feeling. That I'm too late with that order.'

Vlad Tepes thinks, ‘He's made this mistake before. But. This time . . . I will take Naraku's head.
His wife, Kikyo, will make a good replacement. Especially, since she's a true vampire, not a
demonic-vampire like Naraku, she'll be easier for me to control.' He nods, his decision made.

"Sesshomaru?" he asks.

"He died before we took control of that area of the world, lord emperor. To my knowledge his
soul is still bound to the hell, Naraku and Kikyo sent him when they and Inu-yasha defeated him."

Vlad Tepes nods. "I remember now. Naraku accepted our help in that battle. That began the
conquest of Japan. For that, I made Naraku Shogun."

"Yes, lord. Since he died before we took control, the powers and abilities of this Sesshomaru are
somewhat of a mystery to us. I do know, however, that he carries a device of elemental chaos
and his swords have tremendous power."

Vlad Tepes raises an eyebrow in a question.

"One of his swords is an evil blade," she points to his sword, "as powerful as yours. But, the
other blade he carries is a blade of good. Perhaps, only Michael's sword is more powerful, Lord."

"It must be her sword, then. There is no way that a person with that dark of an aura could wield
it."

"It has been in his possession the entire time that they have been on this world. Her sword, which
she dropped when she was grabbed and now is in his possession, is not a weapon of good."

He frowns, "And she was using it?"

"Compared to your sword or Sesshomaru's sword, it is not a weapon of evil, but it is also not a
weapon of good, lord."

"Odd . . . Why was she not using the sword of good?" Vlad Tepes asks the air.

"I cannot answer that question, lord Vlad Tepes."

"Did this world's Sesshomaru have these swords?" he asks.

Eldonna shrugs, "According to my information, he may have possessed the sword of good, lord.
But, that sword was lost after the battle. And later, when Inu-yasha tried to locate it, he found out
that Sesshomaru's servant was killed . . . and he never told anybody where he buried
Sesshomaru's body and sword."

A pause as Vlad Tepes considers his options.

"Remain with me, Eldonna. I may send you to seduce him."

She smiles, "It's been a long time since I've seduced anybody like him, lord. I will enjoy it."

"Lord Emperor." One of the shadowy figures states.

"Yes."
"Sunrise is coming."

"I am aware of that."

Vlad Tepes purses his lips as he thinks, ‘I should rest. My instincts are warning me that this
could come down to a personal fight. But . . . assuming that Phocas loses and doesn't stop him
long . . . he'll reach the city walls before dark. And waking up from vampire sleep during the day
is difficult . . . so, I must remain awake to control the situation.'

"I will remain awake today." the Vampire emperor states. "I will retire to my personal quarters.
Should anything happen with Kagome or Sesshomaru, I will be informed. Is that clear?"

The shadowy figures all nod, bow and hiss, "Yes, lord emperor."

*******************************

In Dracula's personal quarters . . .

It is a large, richly furnished room decorated in very dark and gothic designs. There are no
windows in the room. The light is from large red candles.

Next to his sarcophagus is an impalement spike. On it is a dead, young, eleven or twelve year
old, girl.

He sits down at his desk, which is also in the room, against one of the walls. It is piled with
paperwork. ‘When I made the deal with Satan to conquer the world, I never considered the
amount of paperwork, I'd have to struggle against.' he thinks. He smiles, ‘A personal challenge
like this is a good thing, I was getting bored.'

"Lord Emperor?" one of his personal vampires, a beautiful female servant, asks from the
doorway. In her grasp is another young girl. "I've come to replace the girl. Should I? Or would .
. . "

"Of course, replace her." he smiles.

The servant wiggles her fingers. The dead girl on the spike animates into a zombie-like state,
wiggles off the spike and woodenly marches out of the room. The servant strips the new girl,
places her on top of the impalement spike, tying to her feet, lead weights to force her body onto
the spike.

The girl screams as the pain of impalement breaks the mind control spell the vampire was using .
. . and blood begins to flow down the spike. Vlad Tepes, Dracula, smiles, ‘I love the smell and
sounds of a dying young girl in the morning . . . ' and in a relaxed mood he begins to work on the
paperwork in front of him . .

**********************************

"Uggghh . . " Kagome moans as she wakes up.

"Here, Kagome, let me help." Hachi says as he supports her upper body.

Kagome opens her eyes, "Hachi?" she asks. The raccoon-like being over her looks like the
Tanuki demon that is Miroku's friend, but he looks older, his fur is rougher and he's thinner than
she remembers.

"How did you know my name?" he asks in surprise.

"Miroku. You look like Miroku's friend. But . . . that's impossible." Kagome mumbles.

"I knew a Miroku once." Hachi says in a reflective tone. "He died centuries ago at the hands of
Naraku. And then, Naraku took control of me."

"Centuries?" Kagome whispers, tears forming in her eyes as she closes them.

"Yes, approximately five centuries ago."

"Damn . . . " she mumbles . . .

She opens her eyes and looks around.

She is in a small room. The western style bed she is on is comfortable. The bedding is clean, if
somewhat stale. There are no windows and only one door. The light in the room is from torches
set high in the walls, well above her reach.

The air in the room is smoky. The smell . . . tickles Kagome's nose, it is a seductive smell rich in
various inviting flavors

She takes a deep breath. "What is the incense? I don't like it."

"It's nothing, just some incense. Trust me."

"Hachi . . . " she looks at him. "Of course I trust you." She shakes her head. ‘Even with the
bump on my head . . . I feel . . . tried, lethargic . . . but . . . somehow . . I like this feeling . . . '

She blinks her eyes and shakes her head, trying to shake the feeling coming over her. She closes
her eyes and tries to summon the power to heal the bump on her head.

"Argggh!" she screams in pain, her hands pressing against her temples.

"Sorry, Kagome, I should have warned you. This room is guarded against magic." Hachi
mumbles to her. ‘Against good magic, anyway.' he thinks.

"What happened, Hachi? To Miroku. And do you know about any demons named Inu-yasha or
Sesshomaru? And you mentioned Naraku?"

‘Well . . . my lord gave me permission to tell her things to gain her trust, so . . . ' he thinks.

"About five centuries ago, there was a jewel of the four souls. You are wearing pieces of
something that feels very similar to it. But it was destroyed back then."

"How?"

"Kikyo, the miko that controlled the jewel, was going to give the jewel to her lover Inu-yasha,
but Sesshomaru and Naraku interrupted that plan at the same time."

"Argg" Kagome moans, "Sesshomaru found out about the black pearl in Inu-yasha's eye years
earlier than he should have."

"Yes, How did you know that?" Hachi asks in surprise. ‘The only reason I know it, is I've spent
time with Inu-yasha and he told me.'

"I was there." Kagome whispers. "Go on, Hachi, please."

Hachi shakes his head in confusion, ‘There is no way a human could have been there. And Inu-
yasha has never mentioned anybody but Kikyo.' he thinks.

"This led to a prolonged struggle between Kikyo and Naraku for the jewel, and herself, and a
similar struggle between Inu-yasha and Sesshomaru for his father's sword. Then . . one of The
Emperor's vampire servants found Naraku. In exchange for helping Naraku gain Kikyo, Naraku
would help the Emperor conquer Japan."

"Gods . . "

"Yes. The vampire Dragonetti seduced and corrupted Kikyo. Then . . as part of Naraku's plan . .
. a huge fight between Naraku, Kikyo, Inu-yasha and Sesshomaru developed. In that fight,
Naraku and Kikyo teamed up with Inu-yasha to destroy Sesshomaru. Kikyo then used the jewel
to send Sesshomaru's soul to hell." Hachi shakes his head.

"No . . . "

"None of them have ever said why that happened. Personally, I think it was Kikyo's last act as a
good person, before the corruption of a vampire took over, she was probably trying to send
Naraku's soul to hell, but something went wrong . . . "

Hachi shrugs. "After that, Kikyo seduced and made Inu-yasha her vampire servant. And under
Naraku's leadership they conquered Japan. He rules Japan as the Emperor's Shogun. Kikyo is
his wife and Inu-yasha is the commander of their army."

"Miroku?" Kagome asks.

"He tried to fight Naraku, but between him, Kikyo and Inu-yasha. . . He never stood a chance.
They played with him and his wife, Sango. Once she had his son... they killed her. He died a few
years later, by his curse."

"His family?" Kagome asks, tears in her eyes.

"Still remains and the family is still cursed. Naraku allows that family to survive. Tormenting
that family is one of his pleasures..." Hachi whispers.

"I've got to do something . . . " Kagome mumbles, as she shakes her head.

"Kagome, You said that you were there? Could you tell me about that?" Hachi asks.

‘The Emperor wanted me to find out about her origins. That should allow me to ask more
questions.' he thinks.

"Huh? Yes. Let me explain, Hachi." Kagome begins to speak about her past.

At first, her story is clear and concise . . .

But as the opium smoke grows thicker . .

Her speech slurs . . .

The story drifts into other things . .

And after a while . . .

All Kagome is capable of doing is lying on the bed, breathing deeply and softly moaning as the
opium's pleasure filled dreams begin . . .

‘She is ready.' Hachi thinks. He leaves the room.

********************************

Back to Dracula's chambers . .

"Lord Emperor." one of his servants interrupts.

"Yes." Vlad Tepes gratefully looks up from the paperwork.

"Sesshomaru is approaching the village of Sisli, lord."

"Good." He stands and leaves the room to go to throne room where the magic mirror is.

In the throne room . .

"Show me the battle." Vlad Tepes orders as he stands in front of the mirror.

The magic mirror clears and shows him the battle between Phocas and the human soldiers and
Sesshomaru . . .

"As I thought . . . " Vlad mumbles to himself. He turns away from the carnage and begins to
issue orders.

"Have the necromancers begin to move the army of the dead in front of the city walls." he orders
one of the shadowy figures.

He leaves.

‘The army of animated skeletons and zombies that rest in the catacombs of the city will not stop
him. But they will delay him and might injury him.' the emperor thinks. ‘Even for a demon as
fast as what I just saw, it will take awhile to destroy a quarter of a million bodies.'

"Have the prisons emptied. I want a huge human sacrifice on the spikes."

A shadowy figure bows and leaves.

‘Once any human reaches adulthood, they must kiss the local head of Satan's church on the
mouth, penis and buttocks, as they proclaim that they worship Satan. Any person that fails to do
that . . . is sent here for execution or, rarely, corruption. I don't like using all of them in a mass
sacrifice, such as this, but . . . I can always fill the cells with more human scum.' he thinks.

"Tell the warlocks and witches to use that sacrifice to power their spells. When Sesshomaru
arrives, and he is delayed while destroying the zombies, they are to attack him with destructive
spells."

Another figure bows and leaves.

‘That should do it. Let's see, even a creature as fast as him trying outrun magical lightning bolts
and balls of fire, especially when he's trying to fight an army of zombies. . . this should be
interesting.' Vlad Tepes thinks.

Eldonna, the succubus, approaches, "Anything for me, lord?"

Vlad Tepes purses his lips in thought, "Yes, you have my permission to leave and seduce him."

Eldonna smiles, bows and vanishes in a cloud of brimstone smoke.

‘I don't think that'll work. He seems too single-minded to be distracted by her, but, it's not going
to hurt and she could be successful.' he thinks.

"Lord Emperor?" Hachi begs as he approaches. He bows low, onto his belly and crawls toward
the Emperor.

"Yes. Slave."

"She is ready, lord."

"Good. Walk behind me and tell me what you have learned." Vlad Tepes orders as he leaves the
room. Hachi and a group of shadowy servants follow him.

The sounds of marching feet are heard throughout the city as the dead of the city begin to march
. . .

The sounds of screaming are heard . . . as the prison cells of the city are emptied . . .

And the prisoners scream louder as the impalements begin . . .

Chanting begins . .

************************

Kagome's cell . .

She is laying on the bed . . . semiconscious as she moans. She is drifting into and out of various
opium induced dreams . . .

"Doctor, drain a pint of her blood." Vlad Tepes orders.

A well-dressed vampire doctor enters the room. He cuts Kagome on the arm. (In her drugged
state, she doesn't really notice it.) Kagome's blood drips down her arm and into a glass jar.

Once it is full, he closes it and the doctor bandages her arm.

‘Good. Now, once I've turned her into a vampire. We can use that blood to make a new
protective cross for me.' the Emperor thinks.

"Everyone leave." he orders.

They do . .

Vlad Tepes closes the door. Kagome and he are alone in the room.

He smiles, his fangs, peaks out between his thin lips.

"Kagome, my love." he whispers as he sits next to her.

"Yeesss." she moans.

"Open your eyes, my love." his hypnotic voice croons to her.

She opens her eyes.

He stares into them, his century-strong hypnotic gaze, focused on her.

She shivers . . . but can't make her eyes move . . .

"Whom do you love?"

"Inu-yasha . . . Sesshomaru . . . " she moans. "I can't decide . . . "

"I can help you, my love."

"Please . . . I want to know . . . which one . . . "

"Look into my eyes . . . you love me . . . "

"No . . . I love Inu-yasha . . . "

"You love me" Vlad Tepes voice hardens as his will power increases.

"I. . . I. . . love . . . Sess . . . " Kagome mumbles, her eyes caught in his gaze.

Her mind is slow and drugged . .

Her will is diminished from the magic in the room . . .

"You love me." Dracula bends over and kisses Kagome on the mouth, she doesn't move.

His eyes still hold hers in their grasp.

He rises off her and he whispers, "Who do you love?"

"I. . . I. . . I love you . . . " she whispers.

"Yes. I know you do, my love." Dracula kisses her again . .

This time . . . Kagome responds to his kiss and wraps her arms around him hugging him.

Dracula's mouth moves as he slowly kisses his way down her chin and unto her throat.

His mouth opens wide . . . his fang's gleam in the torchlight . . .

They sink deep into her throat, right over her jugular vein.

She moans in a vampire induced orgasm . .

He drinks deeply of her blood . . .

Dracula lifts his mouth from her neck. Blood trickles down her throat.

He sits up, opening his shirt as he does.

"Now, my love. You must drink deeply of my blood." He uses his long fingernail to cut his chest.

Dracula lifts up Kagome, who is weakened by the drugs and blood loss, and places her head
against his chest.

"Drink, Kagome. Drink . . . and be mine for all eternity . . . " he whispers.

He can feel Kagome's tongue begin to move against his chest as she starts to drink his blood.

He moans in pleasure as she drinks his blood . .

Later . . .

Kagome is laying on the bed. Her hands are crossed over her chest. She is not breathing.

Kagome is dead . .

Dracula stands over her. ‘I hate to use this spell. A newborn vampire, like her, needs three days
too fully adjust to her new life. But . . . I'm going to need her against Sesshomaru.'

He begins to speak syllables that no human should ever hear . . .

‘I'll just have to take the chance that her love will not be strong enough to break my hold over
her. I have done this before . . and my hold of my victim can be broken.'

He stops speaking . .

Kagome's eyes open wide . . .

They change, subtlety, but they are different.

"My master . . . " she whispers.

She shudders . . . and twists on the bed . . .

Kagome's pure soul is fighting the vampire curse . .

‘I must have been drugged,' Kagome's pure soul thinks. ‘But, now . . the drugs aren't working.'

Kagome's body is dead . . . and opium doesn't work on the dead . . .

‘Perhaps, my dear.' Kagome's vampire soul thinks, ‘but, that doesn't matter. You drank his
blood. And now . . I will destroy your purity and become you.'
‘Never!' Pure Kagome thinks.

‘Feel the pain. I am in control, not you.' Vampire Kagome thinks.

‘Arrgghhh . . . that hurts! I can fight you. I know . . . I've broken mind control attempts like this
before. My love for Inu-yasha. I can use that . . . and I can break you.' Pure Kagome thinks as
she struggles.

‘Ha! Ha! That will not work this time, Kagome, my dear. This time . . . I am part of you . . . and I
know all about your love for Inu-yasha . . . and all the times that you've questioned that love . . '

The battle for Kagome begins . . .

Vampire Kagome vs. Pure Kagome . . .

***********************

Kagome's body stops shuddering . . .

Kagome's eyes open . . .

She sits up, "Master?"

The Vampire soul has won the battle . .

"Ah, Kagome." Vlad Tepes smiles. "So good of you to join me."

"Of course, master." She smiles, as she bats her eyelids seductively at him.

"I would have let you rest, but, they're things you need to do."

"Sesshomaru." Kagome smiles. "You're having problems with him. He's killing your troops."
She licks her lips, wishing that she could taste that blood.

"Yes." Vlad Tepes nods. "And when you attacked me earlier you destroyed an amulet of mine.
Which you and I need to rebuild."

Kagome nods. "Of course, lord. And then?"

Vlad Tepes smiles. "And then you get to seduce Sesshomaru and turn him into a vampire."

Kagome smiles, and her fangs gleam in the torchlight.

They send pulses of pleasure down her new vampire nerves . . just thinking about drinking
Sesshomaru's blood . .

**************************

The altar room of the temple .

On the altar is a young boy, about the same age as Sota. He is laying there, staring at the ceiling,
mind controlled.

Also, on the altar is an upside down cross with a woman being crucified on it, and that jar of
Kagome's blood.

Kagome and Vlad Tepes are standing next to the altar.

Shadowy figures stand around them.

"First the boy." the Emperor orders. He snaps his fingers.

The boy's eyes clear. "Mommy . . . " he whispers.

Kagome stands next to him, her eyes gleaming in the torchlight. "Don't worry, son. I'm here.
I'm not your mommy, but I . . . I love you."

The boy's eyes stare into Kagome's hypnotic gaze. "I. . "

"Shush." Kagome whispers as she bends over him. "Just be quiet and be still. I love you. I am
helping you."

The boy nods, his eyes caught . . . under her full control. Tears . . . leak from them . . .

Kagome bends over and kisses the boy on the mouth. Her lips move, slowly, down the boys
chin, down to his white unmarked neck . . .

She shakes her head. ‘No . . you might still be fighting me, Kagome. But I will drink his blood.'
she thinks to the pure Kagome, who is still fighting her, but without success.

She opens her mouth wide, her long fangs gleam as they pierce his skin.

She drinks the boy's blood . . .

She moans in pleasure as she does so . .

Kagome lifts her mouth from the boy's neck. Blood covers the neck and much of her face. ‘Once
I get some practice in, I will be neater.' she thinks. Kagome reaches up and wipes up the blood
with her fingers and licks her fingers clean. ‘Then again . . . I like the feel of blood on my
fingers.' She smiles.

She looks down at the boy . . . he is dead.

Kagome drank all of his blood . . .

‘Choices . . . choices.' her smile grows as she feels Kagome's pure part of her soul scream in
agony at the knowledge she just killed a boy . . .

‘Now that she's taken a life, the corruption is complete. Nobody has ever broken the curse, once
they're taken a life.' Vlad Tepes thinks.

"Now, my love." He holds up the cross and the jar of blood, "We will make a new cross."

Kagome smiles, her bloody fangs showing. . .

The shadowy figures begin to chant . .

*********************************

Later . .

Night has fallen . . .

In the throne room with the magic mirror.

The sounds of a large scale combat echo through the room.

Sesshomaru is outside the city walls . . .

Kagome is standing in front of the magic mirror. It is using its powers to show a reflection of
what she looks like.

‘I never thought about that, but no reflection in a mirror is going to suck. How am I going to
look my sexiest?' Kagome thinks.

She sighs.

Kagome concentrates on the spirit in her clothes. She orders it to change the pattern.

Her clothes shift . . .

Instead of her normal school clothes, Kagome is now dressed in a skin-tight black floor length dress.

It is ultra thin and her skin is visible through it. Only around her nipples and her pubic area is the
dress thick enough to hide the details, but even then . . . it is obvious that she is not wearing
panties and her nipples are visible.

"Nice. Sexy. Just what I need."

Vlad Tepes enters the room.

"It is time, Kagome. Sesshomaru has broken through the city wall." He frowns, "Why are you
wearing that?"

"I need to seduce him, right? This will do it, if anything." Kagome replies as she plays with her hair.

"No. Change back into your old clothes. You must trick him into believing that you are alive and
unhurt. Then, you'll be able to seduce him. That . . . dress . . . screams that you are different and
he'll reject you."

"Sir . . . " Kagome begins to object.

"Stop." Vlad Tepes orders. "You are still newly discovering your powers and new morality. That
is confusing you. Seduce him exactly as I have ordered."

Kagome sighs. "Very well, sir. I will do as you order." disappointment colors her voice.

‘He's wrong. But . . . I can't tell him that. His control over me will not allow me to tell him that.
Sesshomaru's senses are going to detect the changes in my body. I can't trick him like he thinks
I can. By using this dress, I might have confused him long enough for me to grab him and kiss
him, but . . . ' Kagome thinks.

"As soon as you change, join me outside." Vlad Tepes orders as he leaves the room.

Kagome wills her clothes to return to their normal school dress uniform and follows him out the
door. Outside . .

‘I've seen the end of the world epic movies that looked nicer than this . . ' is Kagome's first
thought as she looks around.

Flames reach high into the sky . . . some of them look like flaming creatures . .

Buildings crash to the ground as they collapse . . .

The wind howls, whipping the flames still higher....

A firestorm is brewing...

Creatures made of stone, some of them ten to fifteen meters tall, are stalking the ground,
swinging their arms and stepping on people as they kill them.

The city of Constantinople is being destroyed . .

A mass of zombie bodies fly back onto the front steps of the palace . .

Sesshomaru, in his giant white dog form, threw them there.

Blood drips from his sides . . . he's won through to the center of the city, but not without a
struggle, even for him . . .

He stalks up to the front steps of the palace.

He raises his head and howls . . .

Sesshomaru will get Kagome back . .

The end of chapter 35 . . . Preview: Chapter 36; Sesshomaru's war

Eldonna, the succubus, as she seductively slinks up to Sesshomaru, purrs,
"Lord Sesshomaru. My master, Satan, has a deal for you."

"And that deal is?" Sesshomaru asks in his traditional expressionless bored voice.

"We can give you, Kagome Higurashi, and . . . this world." She pauses, "All you have to do is
kill Vlad Tepes and this world will be yours to rule . . . "

Sesshomaru pauses as he considers his reply to her offer . .

______________________________________________

Author's note: I did add in the bits about Inu-yasha, Naraku and the rest on purpose. When this
story arc is over . . . I am thinking about letting other people use this world as an A/U world.
We'll see . . .

Oh, Sesshomaru's giant dog form: Ever since Inu-yasha chopped off his arm, he hasn't been able
to use that shape. (A 3-legged dog . . . no way). So . . . using that shape in combat to get back the
proper reflexes is high on his priority list . . .

Story list . .

I've had people ask for a list of my stories in reading order, since I try to make all my stories
read as one super-large (meta) story . .

The different name for some stories is because I post on fanfiction.net, mediaminner.org and
adultfanfiction.net. And sometimes I changed the titles, trying to get more readers.

I am listed under the pen name "jeffs" on all three sites

(Oh . . . the number beside each title is the # of words per review. The higher the number . . . the
more reviews . . . I'd really like to get additional reviews for that story . . . )

First up is "What's in the Backpack" (63) This is my first story, so . . . start with it.

"Kagome's First Kill" (117) is set early in the manga/anime series. It deals with Kagome's
casual attitude to the death/destruction she sees in the past . . .

Short one-shots that can be read in any order. The only limit is: they come before the story "A
Shard in Kyoto"

They are:

"99 Sits for Inu-yasha or 99 Bottles of Beer" (47): Kagome gets really upset at Inu-yasha . . .

"I Hate That Nightmare" (69): A nightmare of Kagome's . .

"Kirara" (54): a different, and spooky, look at Kirara . .

"Rabbit Season" (52): Inu-yasha vs. Bugs Bunny . .

"What is Miroku's Full Name" or "Moroboshi Miroku" (325): Inside joke for readers of Rumiko
Takahashi's older manga/anime.

A larger story, but also one that can be read anywhere in the sequence before "A Shard in Kyoto"

"A Ghost Story for Halloween" or "Naraku's Halloween" (612):... there are more people that
want to see him dead then just Inu-yasha . . .

"When Friends Find Out . . . " (775): is my first large story. Kagome's friends find out of about
the well & Inu-yasha. There are some scenes in it I really like (Kagome/Miroku, Mrs. H vs. Inu-
yasha & the Kagome/Sota scene) but, this is my first large story, so . . . the chapters are not in
the proper order, ok. Sigh . . .

"When the Boys Are Away" (621): Kagome & Akane from Ranma, at an archery tournament . . .
one of them . . . gets kidnapped (like normal, right?). But . . . the boys aren't there to help . . .

"What to Do About Evil" or "What is Evil" (792): the group faces a different type of evil than
the standard "evil demon" very hard story, read with caution . .

The Sex ed arc . . . Kagome learns the differences in sexual mores between the past and the
present . . .

Read in this order . . .

"Why is Miroku a Pervert?" (190): details about the religious order that Miroku belongs to . . .
one that encourages perversion . . . (at least in a modern sense.)

"Spring Fertility Festival" or "Spring Fertility Festival in the Feudal Ages" (168): Kaede
organizes a public orgy . . . Kagome does a striptease . . . Sango/Miroku public sex . . .

"I-shin-po" or "Ishinpo A Spring Fertility Spinoff" (459): The joy of Sex. In the feudal ages . . .
"Sex is good for you. Do it often."

"Yobai: Night Visits of Spring Fertility Festival" (188): The girls of Kaede's village invite
Kagome to join in their co-ed sleepovers . .

"When Friends Find Out; Spring Fertility Festival" or "Girl Talk: When Friends Find Out;
Spring Fertility Festival" (1226): Kagome & 3 modern friends talk about what happened in
Spring fertility festival . . . and how it affects Kagome's thinking about sex . . .

"The Hammock" (776): A series of humor scenes centering around a hammock. Also a serious
Kikyo vs. Kagome scene . . .

"A Shard in Kyoto" (728): the group travels to the capital of Japan . . . very complex storyline . .
. includes geisha house scenes . . with a Kagome/Miroku & Inu-yasha/Sango lemon sequence . .

"Kagome! Where are you?!" (107): Kagome & Sesshomaru romance/lemon/epic adventure . .
they are lost in alternate universes . . . a blanket scenario . . . dinosaurs . . aliens vs. Predators . . .
ancient Japan . . . Middle earth (Lord of the rings) . . . vampires (Dracula rules the world . . . )

The last story is:

"The Day After Inu-yasha proposes to Kagome" (115): What comes (in more ways then one)
next . . . This is just a scene, not a real story . . but . . I am working toward it . . .

Stories that are part of the above, but they don't really fit in the above sequence easily . .

"Letters to Kagome's Mother" (226): is an odd story/idea. The basic idea is that Mrs. H & the
group exchange letters on a regular basis, is something that is happening in my stories. But. I
have not written the letters. Basically Mrs. H knows a lot more about the group than in the
manga, and the group has a better idea of Kagome's world than they do in the manga as well.

"Kagome's New Baby Brother" story (134): Is a difficult story to place. Like "Letters to
Kagome's Mother" it is a background story. The story takes place over a 10-month time period,
during which many of my stories occur. So, off screen, Kagome, Miroku and Mrs. H are
exchanging letters/pictures as Mrs. H pregnancy advance and after the birth of Miroku's son.
(Chances are this story starts . . Before "A Shard in Kyoto" but probably only by a few weeks/a
couple of months. So . . . Mrs. H would be pregnant during "A Shard in Kyoto" and "Kagome
Where Are You?!")

The following stories are not part of my meta story:

"Kirara & Hachi, Miroku's Raccoon Companion" or "Love Potion Gone Wrong" (135): A very
odd love pairing . . .

Pure Ranma stories: all take place before "When the Boys Are Away"

read in this order .

"Game is Cat and Mouse" (129): Akane vs. Shampoo.

"Peanuts" (72): Ranma: Charlie Brown. Nabiki: Lucy . . . and a football . .

"Seppuku" (176): Ranma . . . explores this option in his life . .

"The Seat" (149): Bathroom humor . .

"Momijigari"(1190) : Ryouga proposes to Akari . . . also Ranma/Akane waff.

Thank you for reading, Jeff Shelton.
