Passion Statement

The pendulum swung back and forth, back and forth.

“Inuyasha, what are you staring at?” Kagome asked, bending down. They were taking a short rest of walking from their journey and the miko had felt his eyes wavering back and forth. Had he gotten sick? Maybe he had accidentally gotten into something from her backpack that he hadn't known about.

Waving her hand in front of the hanyou's face, she was surprised that Inuyasha didn't blink until after she pushed that hand into his face. “Inuyasha what is wrong with you?”

Grunting, the hanyou crossed his arms, his eyes suddenly to something off on his right. How long had he been looking at those things?

Kagome frowned and grabbed a hold of his face, pulling him back to her. “Inuyasha,” she worried her bottom lip when he gave her a callous look. The look quickly died.

“It's just those things on you're ears. They're driving me crazy.” Kagome twisted her face in confusion as she touched her ears.

Her fingers traced along her ear lobe all the way down until they landed on her moon shaped earrings that she'd been sporting today. “Oh! You mean my earrings?”

The hanyou nodded, his curious finger rising as he touched the earring just like the girl had. It was cold metal and shaped like a crescent moon. They were fascinating yet at the same time, bothered him that they were impaled through Kagome's cute little human ears.

“Feh, why did you do that to you're ears?” His finger continued to lightly prod the earring, until it fell where it slipped through the girl's skin, mouth twitching downward.

Kagome sighed, feeling strangely comfortable at Inuyasha's venture over her ear. “It's just something we do in my time. It's a fashion statement to some while others see it as expressing their body.”

The hanyou seized the girl's petite shoulders and pulled her down to his level as he nosed against her ear. Kagome inadvertently shivered. The next thing either of them knew, he was kissing along her ear lobe, sucking the skin where her earring resided. It tickled and she couldn't stop herself from a giggle. Inuyasha didn't seem to mind as a toothy grin formed along his lips. “I like the way you look without these.” He whispered, his hot breath tingling along her sensitive skin.

“Oh?” Kagome squeaked when Inuyasha pulled her face to his by her chin and seized her mouth. The only thing she could think was that it was good that the others had wandered off to find fresh water and wash up.

He kissed her with patience, as if testing out the feel of his mouth with hers. And she very much loved the feel of his mouth against hers, the sharpness of his teeth as they grazed along her tongue. It was no wonder she never heard the grunt from behind them.

“How long do you suppose you're going to be like that?” A piqued monk asked his eyes traveling toward the hanyou and her blooming redden face.

Inuyasha did something both the miko and monk weren't expecting. Turning around, he faced Miroku with an unashamed smirk across his lips. “Long, real long.”
