+ Love on the High Seas +
By Nekokaizoku

A One Piece fic that started out as a series of one-shots, but I decided that I could do something more with them.

Ok… I'm rewriting this fic…. Its just pointless sex right now, I think it needs more story and character development…. I may just make all of these one big story. The story will now start out with what was my second chapter, Gotta Be Chained To You, since it takes place during the Alabasta arc. Then I can add to So Undeniably Yours and make that happen after this part, and then pick up again with Truly Madly Deeply and end it with Uninvited. There'll be chapters in-between I don't want this to be just a pointless romance fic… Inspiration struck and I want to add to the One Piece story, my own twist. Just to see where that takes me. There'll be a 3 yr time span from LxN's story to UxK's story.

Chapter 1
+Gotta be Chained To You+

I feel the magic building around you,
It's bringing me to my knees, like a wannabe…

He loved being a ship's cook. He enjoyed making the best meals for his nakama. But nothing fills his heart with as much joy as preparing special meals for the ladies onboard the ship. It seemed that no matter what, he was always in a good mood when he was making those wonderful desserts for Nami and Vivi. It pleased him when they would stop what they were doing to eat his awesome cooking.

“Ladies, please enjoy this special cake I made for you.” Sanji waltzed onto the deck where the girls were, holding a small cake with white frosting and topped with orange slices and strawberries.

“Ah, thank you, Sanji-kun.” Nami smiled.
“You are too kind.” Said Vivi.
“Anything for you beautiful ladies.” Said Sanji, in his “love struck” voice.

“You're such a womanizer, stupid cook.” Zoro said as he walked by with his usual weight training gear.
“Who asked you, stupid seaweed head?!” Sanji challenged him. “At least I know how to treat women, unlike you!”

Zoro stopped at that remark and glared at the blonde-haired cook.

“Who's a seaweed head?!” He dropped his weights.
“Are you threatening me?” Sanji sneered at him.

They were about to go at it, when an unseen force knocked them out cold.

“God, those idiots! Can't ever get any peace around here with them around.” Nami fumed as she went back and sat down with Vivi. “Why do they always have to argue over everything? Its almost like they're married.”
“But I didn't think Sanji was gay.” Vivi said, almost sounding disappointed.
“No, I don't think so either, but Zoro has never had any interest in women, as far as I know.”
“So are you saying—“ Vivi paused and looked at the Zoro and Sanji pile. They landed unconscious, on top of each other. It looked rather…wrong.

Luffy walked by and accidentally kicked Zoro, causing him to move to where it looked even more obscene. Nami and Vivi stared and giggled. Luffy had no idea what was going on.

“Why are Zoro and Sanji napping together?” He asked.

“N-no its not like that, Luffy-san.” Vivi laughed. “Nami-san knocked them out and they wound up like that.”

Luffy laughed at them. He still didn't get the hint, and began to poke at Zoro and Sanji. Usopp soon joined, and came up with the wicked idea of making it look like they were holding hands. They both laughed hysterically. Chopper walked by and his eyes widened. Nami and Vivi couldn't help but laugh a little as well. Everyone stopped as the two began to wake up. Zoro opened his eyes and freaked out.

“What the hell?!” He quickly jumped off of Sanji, looking very embarrassed.

“Aw, what's the matter, Zoro? Need some privacy?” Nami laughed.
“Shut up, Nami!” Zoro stormed off.
“Ah, even the teasing Nami is so charming!” Sanji said, still laying on the ground, lighting a cigarette.

Later that day…

“I'm going inside for a while, Vivi.” Nami stood up. “You coming'?”
“No, I think I'll stay out here, it feels really nice today.”
“You're right it does. The weather should be like this for a few days, so it'll be smooth sailing for now.” Nami informed her.

Vivi stood up and stretched as well, walking over to the front of the ship, looking out to the sea. She closed her eyes as a cool breeze swept up her azure blue hair. She started to think about her home in Alabasta.

“I hope everyone is ok. We need to get there as soon as possible.” She thought to herself. She put her hand to her heart, and winced, trying to force back her tears.

“Don't worry, we'll get there on time, Vivi-chan.”

Vivi turned around, surprised to see Sanji standing behind her, taking the halfway burnt cigarette from his mouth and putting it out. He leaned next to her on the rail.

“That's what you are worried about, isn't it?” Sanji guessed.
“Well, yeah. I'm sorry, I don't mean to worry so much. But it's so hard sometimes.” Vivi looked down and sighed.
“Listen, I know that you're afraid, but you don't have to worry. Luffy, Nami, Usopp, Chopper and I will help out all we can.”
“What about Mr. Bushido?” Vivi blinked.
“Ah, I guess him too, that crap-swordsman.” Sanji shrugged, frowning at that thought of that awful marimo.

Vivi laughed a little. She didn't see why they fought so much. Maybe it was because they were so close in age, or in strength. But nonetheless, she could see that they were all truly friends. No, more like family. She wished she could always be a part of that. It made her a bit sad to think that one day they will have to part ways when this is all over. After Luffy defeats Crocodile, and she returns home to resume her duty as an Alabastan princess.

After talking to Sanji for a while, she started to realize how much of a gentleman he was. He was a very good listener, and he gave good advice. She also couldn't help but notice that he was quite handsome. Zoro was a good-looking guy, but for some reason, her attraction to Sanji was much stronger. Could she really fall in love with him? It's not like he would refuse, since he seems to like any woman. But she was also a little jealous of Nami, she was so beautiful. Sanji tries so hard to get her attention, but she doesn't give him the light of day. She did notice a connection between Nami and Luffy though. There were times when they thought no one was looking and they would be alone together and sometimes share a kiss or just hold each other. Obviously, the rest of the crew didn't know about it, especially not Sanji, It would probably break his heart. But what if she did reveal her feelings to him? Would it change anything? Perhaps she would find out sooner or later.

“You feel better, Vivi-chan?” Sanji smiled warmly at her.
“Yes, I think so. Thank you so much for listening.” Vivi stood in front of him, she really wanted to give him a hug, just as a `thank you'. What was holding her back? All the tension made her heart race and she was probably blushing. She felt weak in the knees suddenly.
“Vivi-chan!” Sanji caught her, before she fell. She was somewhat limp in his arms, trying to regain the strength in her legs. But now, it was too late…she was falling in love with Sanji. She looked at him, and saw a slight blush on his face.
“I'm sorry about that, Sanji-san!” Vivi stood herself up, but his arms would not let her go. She gulped and stared straight at him.
“Sanji-san…” Vivi said, as she felt herself being pulled closer into his embrace. She choked back a cry as he held her close.

They stood like that for a moment, Vivi wished it would last forever. Maybe he did feel the same way about her? Or was it just pity?

“Vivi…” Sanji looked into her eyes. Those bright sea-blue eyes. He really wanted to kiss her right then and there. He didn't know why. She looked absolutely lovely to him at that moment.

He decided to take the plunge, and leaned closer to her. She didn't show any signs of backing off, but he could see she looked very nervous. Before he knew it, they were sharing a kiss. Small at first, and then he pulled her closer and deepened the kiss. She pulled away momentarily to catch her breath. Sanji felt a little different about himself. Usually, he'd be totally ecstatic about getting even this far with a girl, but for some reason, he didn't feel the need to act that way. He really cared about her, he considered her part of the crew. If only she could stay and sail with them. Or would he abandon his crewmates to be with her? Either way, any relationship he would have with her, would not last forever, considering the circumstances.

“Is this ok, Sanji-san?” Vivi asked, resting her hands on his chest.
“I don't think the others would mind.” Sanji mused. “Even Nami-san.”
Vivi felt a little uneasy for a moment when he said that. What if Nami did care? Would she hate them both? No, she wasn't that type of person, she already has Luffy.
“Can we please… do that again?” Vivi asked, touching his face.

Sanji responded immediately, lifting up her chin and placing his lips on hers. His tongue parted her lips, and she opened up to him willingly. Vivi in return, slid her tongue inside his mouth, and slightly tasted cigarettes, but it didn't bother her as much as she thought it would. Their tongues danced with one another and Sanji's hands grazed the small of her back, and he placed them on her hips. They breathlessly broke their kiss, and looked at each other in a mix of wonder and bewilderment.

“Shall we continue this elsewhere?” Sanji offered. “Unless you don't want to just yet.”
“Why don't we go to bed and see what happens?” Vivi smiled.
“I like the sound of that.” Said Sanji, acting like his old self again.
