Mom sought the internet

For its dating services

Time continued,

She began to wear clothes

Meant for teenagers

Acting like one, seeing

All sorts of guys

I and my brothers kept our opinion

On the matter to ourselves

Of what we thought of our parents

Both asked us what we thought

Of the other, or what the other

Is doing nowadays

We remained silent and smiled—out of embarrassment

Time waited for no one

A year later after daddy asked

For a divorce, mom married a man

After dating him for five months

He has two children

The sweetest ones you could

Ever meet in your life

Their mom had died a few days

Before daddy asked mom for it

It seemed like fate to them

We became one happy family

Even though some times were

A bit rough for a while

I am pleased, even if my relationship

With step dad is awkward

Later, a year later,

My dad married to the woman

She is a really cool gal

Even if some things ended

It all came to end well.
