“I wish you would be more careful.” Red sighed, the wind ruffling his hair as he knelt down next to his partner. “We're not as young as we used to be.”

Lance smirked, flashing sharp fangs from beneath a fringe of crimson hair, now liberally streaked with gray. “I'm glad you're still so concerned about me, love.”

The Champion glared as he whacked the Dragon Master lightly, before cupping his hands in front of him. A pale yellow glow began to cover his fingertips as he smiled. “Good thing I can still heal you, ne?”

“Yes.” Lance chuckled. He closed his eyes, feeling oddly content, despite the gashes running down his back from that stray Weavile's Slash attack.

After all, he had never expected to live this long, and the fact that Red was still with him - that was worth more than anything. It was difficult for guardians to live long, but they had survived quite well, though power-wise, they were still as strong as ever.

He was oddly content, and as Red finished and winked he pulled the younger man into a kiss and grinned.

“Ooh, getting frisky in your old age?” Red teased.

“Let's just say… we're not that old yet.” Lance purred.

“K! I'll cancel all my appointments tonight!”

Lance smirked, and his golden eyes winked as they walked down the path arm in arm. Together forever…
