"Lost: A Ronin Warriors/ Ranma 1/2 Crossover"

Chapter 8

Disclaimer: I've said it before and I'll say it again...I don't own Ronin Warriors or Ranma 1/2!
Suing me will get you nothing! -_-;;

Okay, let's go over it again:

~...............~ are thoughts

************************************** is the beginning/end of the story or scene changes

Got it? You do? Good. ^_^;;

**************************************************
Last time on "Lost", Isis and her smallish army of Dynasty soldiers made it to where Jen and
Ryoga were hiding. The two sides clashed in a semi-epic battle between good and evil, and
it started to rain just as the battle between Jen and Isis was really beginning.

Who will win? Will it be Jen or Isis who will emerge from this battle as the victor? Will Ryoga
manage to fight off the Dynasty Soldiers before his curse is activated and he turns into a
cute, cuddly little black piglet? Will Ryoga strangle the authoress for calling him cute and cuddly?
(Ryoga: Yes!)
For some of the answers to these questions, read on!
******************************************************
The white hot energy from Jen's surekill sped toward Isis at breakneck speed. Reacting at the last possible
second, hoping to trick the Ronin Warrior of Wildfire that she was hit with the attack, Isis leapt up, rebounding
off the closest building, crossing the street several feet over Jen's head, rebounding off the building there,
and repearing the process until she was standing on top of one of the buildings, smirking down at Jen
as the Ronin Warrior looks around, trying to find Isis.

"Where are you, you coward?", Jen shouted, then thought for a second.

~Did I actually get her with that attack?~

"I'm up here, Wildfire.", Isis replied, sounding very smug and looking very pleased with
herself.

"Isis! I'll get you!", Jen shouted as she leapt into the air, roughly following the same rebounding
pattern that Isis had previously followed. She had her swords ready, and brought them down as she landed,
trying to hit Isis with them.

Suddenly, she heard the loud, angry squealing of a pig and sighed.

~Oh great...it's raining, and I didn't notice. Now, I'll bet that Ryoga's surrounded by Dynasty goons,
and is in his cursed form.~, she thought as she looked in the direction of the squealing. Sure enough,
there was a cute little black piglet surrounded by Dynasty Soldiers. She looked over to the right a bit and
saw White Blaze attacking the soldiers.

~Oh good...White Blaze should be able to protect him until I can save him.~, she thought as she turned
toward Isis with a glare.

"Now, what to do with you...", she started, as she prepared her swords to strike. With a battle cry,
she ran at the Dark Warlady, leaping at the last possible second, swinging one of her swords
as she did so, and heard a metallic clang as the weapon impacted Isis' helmet, sending it flying.

"Well, well. It looks like you're not as weak as you first seem, Wildfire. You managed to knock
my helmet off with that last attack.", Isis said smugly. "Unfortunately for you, that will be the last attack
that I allow to strike me."

With that, Jen suddenly felt the rooftop get considerably colder as Isis powered up her armor. She visibly
shivered as she realized that Isis was deliberately taking all of the heat out of the air.

~Unless I move someplace warmer, I'm dead.~, she thought as she looked at the rooftop behind Isis.
~Can I make it? There's no harm in trying, though, at this height, if I miss, it could leave a mark.
Never mind that, I'm going for it! The fall won't kill me, but any injuries I get from missing the jump
Will be better than being killed by Isis on this rooftop.~

With a yell, she made a run for the edge of the rooftop, swing one sword at Isis as she passed the
Dark Warlady, and leapt as hard as she could when she reached the edge. She closed her eyes
as she flew over the 4-lane street below, and toward the building.

Seconds later, she felt her feet hit the edge of the other building, and tried to use her momentum
to push her safely onto the rooftop, but she couldn't regain her balance.

~Oh crap...this is going to HURT!~, she thought as she fell backwards, her arms windmilling out at her sides,
as she made a desperate, last second attempt at getting her balance, but it was futile. All she could
do was close her eyes and brace herself for the impact, hoping that it didn't hurt too much.

****************************************

Meanwhile, Ryoga, in his pig form, watched helplessly as White Blaze "killed" all of the Dynasty Soldiers,
one at a time. Hearing the fighting going on above him, he looked up and watched as Jen made a desperate
leap over to the rooftop to the building next to the one he was standing beside.

~Oh no, she'll never make it!~, he thought despairingly, feeling helpless.

He then watched as her feet hit the edge of the rooftop and her desperate attempts to gain a foothold on
the building, and realizing that it was futile.

Then, he remembered that the tea kettle still had some hot water in it. Dragging his clothes with him,
the little piglet headed for the building he and Jen were staying in and, once inside, he let go of his clothes
and ran at the kettle, knocking it over and splashing the contents over himself.

After he changed back, he quickly dressed, then, noticing that it had stopped raining, he ran
outside to help in any way that he could. However, it was too late for him to simply catch Jen,
so, he picked up his umbrella and finished off the soldiers.

*******************************************

Mea nwhile, Isis watched from the rooftop(a lot of rooftops in this one...confusing, ne? -_-), with a smirk.

"That drop won't kill Wildfire, but it'll be awhile before she's a challenge for me again. So long for now,
Wildfire. We will meet again. This shall be considered a draw.", she said before disappearing.

********************************************

Meanwhile(yes...another meanwhile -_-), Jen braced herself for the impact, just seconds before
hitting the ground with the loud, metallic clang of a metal encased object hitting asphalt from a great height.

"Ow.", Jen groaned with the pain as she tried to get back up, but a sharp pain in her back caused her to gasp
in pain and she just laid there, on the street, staring up at the sky.

~I can't get up! At least I can move, though.~, she thought to herself as she felt strong hands gently shaking her
to get her attention and a panicked voice calling her name.

**********************************************

Ryog a watched as Jen hit the ground, wincing in sympathy, then immediately ran towards her, shouting her name.

When he reached her, he didn't know if she was still alive(she's staring up at the sky...dead people's eyes are
open until someone closes them. This has been a nicely morbid public service message from your friendly,
neighborhood authoress...we now return to the fanfic already in progress), so, he gently shook her, calling her name.

He was relieved when he saw her look at him.

"Oh thank goodness you're alive. You had me worried!", he said with a relieved grin.

"The only way that a fall like that would kill me is if I weren't in armor.", she remarked weakly. "As it stands
right now, I can't get up. I can move, it's just that the pain's bad enough that I can't get up."

"Okay, then. It's my turn to help you. You've done so much to help me so far, now it's my turn.", Ryoga
said as he very gently took her by the shoulders and helped her stand, putting one of her arms across his shoulders,
and holding her up with an arm around her waist.

"Sorry, but it looks like you're going to be stuck here, in Shinjuku, for a little while longer.", Jen said apologetically.

"That's okay. I couldn't leave here, knowing that you're this badly injured, when I easily could've helped you.", Ryoga
said, a bit of concern in his voice. "Are you sure you'll be okay? That was quite a fall."

"I'll be fine. Like I said, the only way that could've killed me was if I didn't have the armor on.
Of course, if the damned building was taller, that might also have had a negative effect on
my chance of survival. I hope you didn't have a date that you wanted to be back in Nerima by.
There's a chance that you might not make it if you stay here with me."

Ryoga shook his head as he helped her to their building.
"No. My only deadline in getting back to Nerima is sometime within the year.", he said with an
ironic chuckle.

"Oh, I think I can get you there in time, then.", Jen said with a chuckle as they entered their building,
White Blaze laying down in front of the door, watching for trouble.

"Wouldn't you be more comfortable without the armor?", Ryoga asked, and she nodded in response.
Closing her eyes, she concentrated for a few seconds and Wildfire blinked out of existence, disappearing to
wherever it is the armors go when not in use. Maybe there's some sort of lounge where the armors, both Ronin
and Warlord, go to hang out, when their respective bearers don't need them. Anyway, back to the story.

After the Armor of Wildfire goes to wherever it is that the armors go when they're not needed, Ryoga
gently laid Jen down on his bedroll(not for THAT, you hentais! >_<;;), and she promptly fell asleep...more
like passed out.

After watching her for a few seconds he quickly checked her over to any serious injuries, feeling the pair of brown
eyes watching him carefully. So, he made sure not to check anywhere on her body that might upset the huge
feline who was still currently glaring at him. He already knew that she had hurt her back when she fell off the
roof of the building next door, but, other than that, the most serious injuries she had were small cuts
and bruises.

With a yawn, he decided that it would be a good idea to get some rest, himself. So, he went over to the security
desk chair that Jen was in earlier, sat down, and fell asleep as best as he could.

To be continued...

A/N: That was a crummy battle scene, wasn't it? And I even had fighting type music playing
when I wrote it. I tried to use a more humorous style of writing for this chapter for some reason.
It could be because I was "high" on chocolate and caffeine at the time. ^_^;;

That "Last Time on 'Lost'" thing was just a one time thing, so don't expect it in future chapters,
unless I get enough people saying that they liked it and want it for future chapters as a sort of funny
thing to do. The wording of it was on the spot...I wasn't planning it ahead of time, except as a
short recap of the last chapter, since this one was actually a continuation of Chapter 7.

As usual, comments/praise/constructive criticism is appreciated and flames will be used to warm
my computer room.

Until next chapter...ja ne!
