The Onasi residence…
Nodoka smiled as she looked at the festive moods of the Telosians as they began to dance and play their instruments as the Restoration Day celebration was underway through the holo-deck. She knew the history of the planet and what happened to the people there and she admired them as they continued with their celebrations.
Ranma was currently hanging out with Revan, Bastila, Jesse, Brianna, and the children of the other couples…while the other Jedi who taught her son were out having a good time, and that left her and Cologne in the home of their host. Carth had planned to cook lunch…but he was called to have a celebration with some of his old fleet buddies in the Republic Navy and he was not around at the moment. She had to admire the pictures and then saw a picture of Carth with a woman who wore some robes and they were both holding a young child together…the family seemed happy together and it made her smile…though she was somewhat curious why Carth lived alone in his residence…did something happen with his family before?
She recalled how the planet of Telos had been bombed by the Sith during the early years of the war between the Republic, their Jedi allies, and the Sith forces who were once commanded by Revan and his former apprentice and friend Malak. Had Carth suffered something horrible that day….she tried to figure out the mystery of the Republic Admiral who was their host and one of Ranma's closest teachers.
Her thoughts were placed aside as she and Elder Cologne decided to see the rich lands of Telos as Carth's home was close to the beach and the nearby hills and plains…it was a panoramic view for the two of them and they were happy to see that the world was safe from harm and the thought of it being bombarded and reduced to a toxic land that took years to recover was not pleasant.
“To think that this beautiful world had nearly been destroyed by the Sith…I am happy that Ranma never joined them…”
“As do I Miss Saotome, after all I have seen your son do…I shudder at the thought of how things would have played out had he been evil.”
“Tell me Elder Cologne…how exactly did my son arrive in your village?”
“Ah…that is a long story Miss Saotome.”
The two women talked for a while and Cologne told her about how Ranma had arrived in her village and how she herself had admired the young man's talents and abilities and how he had helped her village and helped bring justice and freedom to her fellow villagers and she called him a true man of worth, respect and more.
“He is a good young man…makes me wish that there were more men like him in the world…he reminds me of the young man my husband was back then in the days and personally, I think that he would be a truly good choice for my great granddaughter to marry…all those qualities and I must be honest…Shampoo is totally enamored by him and he treats her with respect and honor, that is how a true Amazon should be treated!”
“It honors me that you think so highly of my son Elder Cologne…”
“I know….and it is an honor for me to have met him and you as well Miss Saotome…though I have to admit that your husband Genma is certainly someone I have no desire to be associated with as a relative. I am sorry if that does offend you…after all…he IS Ranma's father by blood after all.”
Nodoka nodded at that and couldn't help but feel saddened a bit by that fact as she recalled the encounter between Ranma and his birth father. Ranma had told her all about the encounter and also the discovery that Genma had found someone to pose as him to keep his promise with Soun to unite the schools of the Anything Goes Martial Arts…and while Ranma did say that the young man in question was good…he was not sure that the young man had any idea what was happening at the moment and that he was not Genma's true son.
She thought about that even more for the time being and then Carth appeared…still dressed in his usual black pants, boots, and the trade-mark jacket he always wore whenever he was not on military duty at the moment. The admiral greeted both Cologne and Nodoka with a smile and then spoke to them.
“I was wondering if you two don't mind seeing the rest of Telos today…there's going to be a very large market day in the main city in a couple of hours at the moment.”
Cologne smiled a bit and bowed…speaking Galactic Basic as it was similar to English.
“Thank you for the invitation Admiral Onasi…but I have to be here for my great granddaughter for her training…just because we're on vacation does not mean she should get lax in her training at the moment.”
“Oh…all right then. I guess that leave Miss Saotome, that is…”
Nodoka smiled sweetly at Carth and replied.
“Of course I'd love to join you Admiral…it's not every day that I can shop on another planet you know.”

Elsewhere…
“Haha! I win again!”
Mission said with triumphant glee as she pocketed several more credits from her opponent for today...who was none other than Ranma…the young Jedi Knight had gone back to using his real name while he was here in the Galactic Republic…his persona as Kouji Yamatsu was reserved for his time back on Earth and here he got to cut loose a bit. He groaned as Mission won yet another hand at Pazaak and the Twi'lek won this set…along with the previous six other sets that they had played.
“Darn it…”
“Man...Mish smoked you real good Ranma.”
Ranma snorted as he looked at his old friend Dustil.
“Yeah I know…don't rub it in Dus, so…when are the two of you tying the knot?”
“Soon enough Ranma…so how are things back home in your world?”
“It's been…ah well, interesting to say the least…trust me..it isn't the same as it is back here in the Galactic Core…but it sure isn't boring…I thought your dad told you abou7t it.”
“Not really…why don't you fill me in then.”
Ranma nodded and told Dustil and Mission about his adventures..just as Revan, Jesse, Bastila, and Brianna arrived…along with the others who formed the two crews of the Ebon Hawk who then joined the trio. As soon as Ranma told them about his time with the Amazons and who they were, along with a certain law that he found out in his time there with them in their village, the others gave surprised look and Revan gave a whistle.
“Wow…those Amazons seem to be the same as the Hapans, except the fact that they don't treat men all THAT badly the way the Hapans do…though that's the first time I've heard of such a law…”
Jesse nodded…
“Yes…that's one really unique law they have back there. That's the first time I've heard about it…are you really sure about it?”
Ranma nodded.
“Oh yes…thank the Force I didn't fight Shampoo in the tournament at the time…I don't I'm ready for the idea of marriage.”
Mira had to admit that law was a totally new one to her.
“So let me see if I got all that…this law deals with both male and female outsiders who defeat an Amazon…if the outsider is a female then the defeated Amazon is honor bound to hunt her down and kill her…but if the outsider is a man…the defeated Amazon has to MARRY him?!”
“That pretty much sums it up Master Mira…”
`Wow…that's different all right…I mean…I've done a lot of traveling in my smuggling days but that's one law I've never heard of.”
Atton said and then he recalled seeing that purple hair teen who was with his former student and he couldn't help but find the whole thing rather amusing to say the least. He decided to tease Ranma a bit for the sake of seeing how his student would react at the question.
“Maybe you should have beaten her in that tournament you know…I mean she's definitely good looking and quite the catch.”
Ranma glared at Atton as the former scoundrel turned Jedi Sentinel merely smiled back as Mira elbowed him on the ribs and spoke.
“Geez Atton…you know Ranma's still too young for that sort of thing.”
“Too young? Mira…he's already eighteen for Force' sake! Most guys his age already are married…”
“That might be true Atton…but being married right off the bat…and because he beat her in a fight? I'm not against the custom since it is a cultural thing, but I think some time to know each other is a lot more sensible than just marrying the woman right there and then.”
The others agreed at that…but Brianna…being a highly trained and skilled warrior thought it over and gave her take on the matter.
“Mira does have a point…however such a custom does have some merit…considering that it is a warrior society that Ranma's guest is from, it might have been formed in order to bring in new blood and talent into the village to further improve their people…and no doubt introduce not just new fighting styles but also…well, healthy bloodlines is the best way to put it. Though you have to admit that young Shampoo does show deep affection for our young Knight, especially when she looks at him.”
The others smiled at that and agreed as Ranma blushed bright red at that…it was then that Juhani spoke.
“Still…I have sensed that Ranma's guests are rather talented in the Force…they are Force Sensitive and have some good measure of the Force in them.”
Visas nodded as she had seen the level of strength Cologne, Shampoo, and Ukyo had in the Force…as like all Miraluka…the female Jedi could see the level of Force potential people had in them, along with their alignment and loyalties…and that helped her identify threats and allies many times over.
“I agree with Juhani…they have good potential and no doubt good talent as fighters…however it would be best we do not assume to train them at this time. It's not our place to decide that after all.”
