Chapter 1

In the darkness,a heart pounded as the moon rose and cast a light.

"Darn..."A young woman muttered under her breath. "The one night that I didn't want the moon out and it came anyways."

She heard a rustling behind her and quickly whipped around towards the noise, her short brown hair moved with her.

"Whose there, show yourself!" She yelled into the wind.

A young man appeared out of the bushes the girl was facing, his dark blue hair gleaming in the night.

"Relax Julia, it's only me."

Juliareleasedher breath she had been holding the entiretime.

"Rowen? Is it really you!? I thought….." Julia's voice came out quickly but slowed down."I th...thought you were…" Her voice trailed off.

"You thought I was killed back there, didn't you." Rowen finished her thought.

"Well..yeah…I mean, there were twenty or more soldiers and just one of you…I didn't think you had a chance."

"Don't worry Julia, your tough, I'm tough, together we'll get to our destination."

"But Rowen," Juliasaid. "Where exactlyis our destination?"
