Sonic had just arrived at his house. Still dark and that deadly moon was still out. Knuckles was sitting up waiting for Sonic. Tails was asleep in their bed.

 

Knuckles: “Is everything taken care of?”

 

Sonic: “Yes. How's Tails? Is he hurt anywhere?”

 

Knuckles: “I didn't see any wounds on him. You might want to check again.”

 

Sonic: “Okay.”

 

Sonic saw that knuckles was tired. He couldn't let Knuckles drive home tonight.

 

Sonic: “Hey if you want you can stay here for the night. I noticed that you look too tired to drive.”

 

Knuckles: “Thanks. I'll sleep on the couch.”

 

As knuckles lay down on the couch Sonic went into the bedroom. He looked around and saw Tails asleep in the bed.

 

Sonic's Thoughts:

 

I got that bastard for you Tails. You're a miracle of life.

 

Sonic went into the bathroom and took a shower. After his short shower he laid his tired body next to Tails and pulled Tails closer to him.

 

Sonic: “Everything's gonna be alright.”
