“Kagome… Kagome,….KAGOME!!! Where the hell are you?”

Kagome walked downstairs and stood before Naraku. “Yea…” Slap! The sound echoed across the room as Kagome stepped back and held her now red check.

“I've told you, I should only have to call you once, and only once. Any more insolence and there's trouble for you, got it?” Kagome gave a brief nod and set, her cold eyes on that bastard of a man.

“Yes sir... I've got it… What would the master like from me to day? Fix his dinner? Draw up a bath? Gather up the slaves?” Kagome knew she was playing with fire, but for some reason, today she really didn't care.

“Hmmm...” He laughed softly “Sarcasm it not becoming of you, Little Kagome.” Naraku chuckled and walked towards the door, giving Kagome a look that said follow.

Kagome did so, with out questions; squirming slightly. She'd just had that feeling he wanted to have a `Father Daughter Talk'.

Naraku interrupted her thoughts with a low growl… “are you not listening to me you little bitch? I said we need to have a talk!” Kagome glowered and rolled her eyes, but gave him her attention.

“As you well know my little KA GO ME, you will soon be turning 18 and that means that I am no longer by any legal standards in charge of you. So therefore I feel that I no longer have to provide for you as well?” Naraku gave a slight smirk at her confused look, so smart but yet she has no clue as to what is about to happened to her.

“This means Lil one that you will no longer have to live here”

“What!” Kagome yelled interrupting him, “you're going to kick me out?”

Kagome nearly forgot herself and who she was talking too. The quick look form Naraku made her hold her tongue, her face turning red slightly. `He wouldn't,' she thought, `he won't let me go that easily.'

“Now, now Kagome... lets not forget who we are talking too,” Naraku smiled at her flushed face. He knew she hated him, ever since she was little, but it dint matter he enjoyed annoying her.

“Hmm… No, of course not my little one.” He lips turned up into a smile when he saw her shake, she hated it when he called her that. Beside “she” would hate for that to happen... Don't you think?” Naraku smirked, bringing up Kagome's mother, always riled her up and how easily he could see her hidden emotions so clearly in those big grey/blue eyes.

Ever since that night, when he even mentioned her mother she cried, then as she grew up she started to give him cold glares and even a growl. Naraku’s eyes shined. That was always a turn on when she did it. The look on her face, the very anger in her eyes always made his blood seem to rise, along with other parts of his body as well.

Naraku snapped out of his musings when he saw the tell tale signs of her anger growing.

“Don't talk about my mother!” Kagome seethed her face hard and her eyes reflecting her anger and sadness even as she tried to hide them. “You don't deserve to bring up her name!”

Naraku chuckled; “I see you have all this compassion for the very woman who left you all alone, in the world Little Kagome? That very same woman who did not care whether if you lived or died?”

Kagome looked away and tried not to think of Naraku's words, her mother had left her, hadn't she? Her mother didn't love her…

Naraku eyed the girl who reminded him so much of a cage animal ready to let loose, she was barely controlling her self in front of him. He always knew how to hit her where it hurt.
“Besides, Kagome, I would never throw you out...”

Kagome looked, shocked. `He has to be kidding; he's actually going to let me stay!'

“No… You're too good of a maid...” He gave a dark laugh as he watched Kagome’s face drop slightly. ‘So you thought you were going get away from me that easily did you little one’

Sitting down in his personal chair he continued to watch the girl in front of him, who now had gotten better control of her self. Yet the disappointment was very clear to see..

Kagome jus watched him her anger pushed down along with all her emotions and stood in front as calm as possible, but on the inside she was buzzing.
‘His MAID, the maid, NO, NO,NO ,NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I wanted this freedom I’ve waited for this!’ If i leave thought where would I go, how would I live, and would he come after me?
Kagomes internal battle continued the only outward sign that would even make you think there was a conflict was they way she chewed her bottom lip, habit she had since she was little.

As if he could since her internal battle Naraku spoke, “Well little one if you do not want to stay and clean…I could always find something for you to do in and around the house to better suit your attributes…” eyeing her up and down.

Starting to feel more nervous Kagome decided then and there it was time to end their little `Father Daughter Talk' and leave. She quickly looked around the room for an escape route from their conversation and more importantly him.

Eye darting back and forth across the room in silence in what she thought was Naraku giving her time to decided on fate; she saw it her salvation on the wall.

The clock, it was 4pm. She needed to be at work by 5. Thanking god for her luck, Kagome decided it was time to make this known.

“Work! I gotta... gotta go t-to w-work,” she stuttered, running past Naraku to the door. She grabbed her keys from the hook by the door. Kagome quickly started to undo the lock when she felt a hand creep on to her shoulder and one lightly stroking her arm.

Coming to close for comfort in Kagome's opinion Naraku pressed his body close “Just remember our little talk dear daughter...”he breathed slightly in her ear

Kagome gave a quick nod and bolted out the door to freedom. She jumped into her car and drove off.

Tears pored out of her eyes as she came to the first red light. `DAMN him, that bastard...” Kagome looked upwards, frustration coming of her in waves, finally she couldn't take it any more and she screamed up to the sky.

“I blame you!!” She shouted. “I blame you for leaving!!”

Kagome quickly made it to work; only breaking two major road rules. Turning off her car, she ran into the back of the restaurant that she worked at. `Please, oh please… Let me punch in on time!' 4:54 `Yes! 6 minutes till clock in time.'

Kagome reached up and clocked in just when a tall, young woman with short brown hair, pulled in to a messy bun, came up and stood squarely in her face.

“An just what the hell are you doing here?!?!” Kagome rolled her eyes and proceeded to ignore the yelling woman.

“Kagome! Earth to Kagome! I know you heard me. It's a school night, so why are you working?”

Kagome turned and pouted. “What, Sam? You don't like me working here anymore?”

“Nope,” Sam laughed, giving Kagome a slap on the butt with an apron, “so does that ass hole really have you working tonight?”

“Yea…” Kagome looked down as she reached the back of the small break room and move towards the empty lockers. She was trying so hard to forget the previous little conversation.

‘Think positive Kagome. You're with Sam, and the rest. You're with the people who care for you. No more thinking about him… or her.’ She paused for a moment.

“Hello? Kaggs? Is anyone in there?” Sam continually waved her hand in front of Kagome's face.

“Oops. Sorry Sam, I kind of zoned out…” Sam looked at the girl before shaking her head “RIIIGHT… sooo weird kaggs…”

“Hey!” Kagome joked. She playfully stuck her tongue out at Sam, and continued putting her things in her locker.

“So… what did the bastard do this time?” Sam asked, trying to get Kagome back on subject.
Kagome flinched slightly. `Leave it up to Sam to bring up unwanted topics…' Trying to ignore her, she continued to pull her hair back into a ponytail and change into the required uniform behind the closet screen.

“Ah hem….” Sam cleared her voice again getting Kagomes attention.
“Of course I'm not off the hook” .she mumbled;

I heard that and of course, of course not, Kaggs. What did he do? I saw your cheek… did he hit you again? You know, the more I know the more I can help.” Sam said it all with a pleading voice and puppy eyes, though Kagome couldn't see them, she knew that she knew she was using them.

Kagome sighed. She knew Sam wasn't going to give in and she also knew Sam was pulling off the whole puppy eye trick.

“pleeeaaaasssseee.” Sam said, sounding like a small child on the fit of throwing a small temper tantrum

Alright…” Kagome sighed and gave in.

“It was just the usual… Only this time…” Pausing, Kagome slowly began to cover up the mark on her face with a little bit of make up, making sure to cover it all.
“Only this time, what?”

“…Nothing…”

“W hat, Kaggs? What happened this time, please tell me! You know I want to help, you know if you don't I'm going to find out through Miro, so either you do this the hard way or you do this the easy way. Either way I'll find out.”

Kagome rolled her eyes and laughed. “Okay, okay… We had a discussion.”

“A discussion?”

“Yeah. A talk, he calls it. Basically, I have to move out when I'm 18 or become his personal fuck toy.” Kagome walked to the front of the backroom, waiting for Sam's response.

With out failing her, Sam hit the roof just as Kagome expected.“WHAT?! THAT FUCKNG BASTARD!! HE DIDN'T!”

He did...”

“Is that legal?”

“Umm… I think so… I will be 18, so by law he doesn't have to put up with me anymore.” Kagome replied, with a small shrug.

“Kagome.” Sam spun her around to face her. “You act as if you're okay with this.” Sam gave her a questioning look.

Kagome looked down and chewed her lip. “Sam, I'd rather live from hand to hand than in the hell house with him, you know that! I hate him.”

“I know kaggs… I know… It's just, this has being going on for so long, and it seems that we have grown used to it. I mean, look at us.”

Kagome gave Sam a quizzical look. “What?”

Sam turned her head, gesturing her hands along to help emphasize her point. “No, I mean, look at how we are talking, Kaggs. We talk about the abuse you go through with Naraku like it's the fucking weather!”

Kagome looked down again. Sam was right. She and Sam did talk so loose about it, and maybe it was because they both knew nothing could be done really. Ever since she started there she and Sam had been close. Though it took a while for Kagome to open up to slightly older woman they continued to talk none stop about her constant problems with Naraku. It helps that Sam was one of the few people who saw Naraku for what he really was and hated him just as much. Kagome knew in all honestly that the only reason Sam stayed was because of her.

And beside Kagome already tried doing something, she'd tried talking to the police, but Naraku had her in the hospital the next day, because of a severe “accident” that included a young girl with a bike and her car. From then on she never said anything else, ever again.

“Sam, you know Naraku. You know his ways. I can't fight him, so I have to do what I have to do.”

“Which is...?” Sam asked.

“Survive and try to be happy!”

“Enough said then...” She attempted to change the subject. “So, what do you plan on doing?”

“Get money, move into an apartment. Never see him again.” Kagome added with a small smile. “Or die trying Sam, I have to try”

“Sounds good. Let's pray it works, I wont let you Die Kaggy, will work it out I guess. Come on, we need to start wiping down the tables...” Sam got up and to the swinging doors to the kitchen. Her face hard, though she tried to smile, Kagome could tell she was thinking hard.

Kagome frowned as she took off and helped get ready for the dinner shift. `I can't wait till I leave here, can't wait to be free.'

Kagome worked in a small restaurant/bar setting similar to in fashion to an old 50's joint. They did not serve any alcoholic drinks. It was more of a family orientated restaurant. This was the only place Naraku would let Kagome work, not only was it near to their house, but he could have his little lap dogs watch her 24/7.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~
It was around 7:45 and Kagome was tired. Wednesdays were one of the busiest days of the week. She ran back and forth taking and delivering orders.
“Hey Kaggs...” Kagome turned from the table she was cleaning to see Eric the new chef hollering from the back.
“Yeah?” She asked, wondering what was so important that he had to call from the back.
“You got a party of 6 in section C!”
Kagome frowned. Section C. Section C wasn't hers. “Get Tina! That's her section!”
Eric gave her a sympathetic look. Tina's on break. You got to cover all 4 sections. Sorry kaggs!” Eric blew her a kiss, and returned to the kitchen knowing Kagome was going to be pissed, and even more so when she got to the table.
Kagome growled and walked over to the section, noticing the group of people from the back of their heads. Grumbling, she trotted over there, grabbing some menus on the way.
Kagome wasn't paying to much attention as she came up to the table, not really looking up from the job at hand; which was to pass out menus. She never really noticed who was sitting at the table, until she heard it. That shrill voice that seemed to follow her every where at home, that voice that haunted her in her dreams.
“Well, hello little sister.”
`Oh dear god! First Naraku, now her! What did I do to deserve this?'
I know seems kind of stupid to leave it off there but I am sleepy, so I'll have to update the rest later
Hope you enjoyed this chapter! This was a long one!
