This Is Not A Happy Ending

Later, when it was over for the moment, Fuji rolled onto his stomach and propped his cheek against the palm of his hand.

Kawamura blushed and didn't look away, because it would be wrong. He took Fuji's hands between his -- and that felt right. There were red indents where Fuji's fingers had dug hard, standing out starkly on the pale smoothness of Fuji's face. Kawamura wanted to touch them, but hesitantly stroked the back of Fuji's hands instead.

Fuji's lashes drifted lower. "Aren't you going to ask?"

"N-no." Kawamura smiled, and the doubt broke like empires. "I trust you."
