I just found the anime "Rose of Versailles" two nights ago and immediately decided to have a marathon. I must say I really think you've captured Oscar at a low point really good. It must be so hard for her, not to know if even her own emotions are manly or by default belongs to a woman. She rarely speaks to anyone about topics that might be "womanly" - the only time she said she was sure it was a woman's feelings, it was about having being in love like a woman, felt a woman's love. How was she to know love is felt more or less equal twix the sexes, they just use different methods to show it. Oh... anyhow, I really liked this fiction and I'd love to read more. It's something aldright, not nothing. : )
