I think this is a fantastic "What if?" story. I can not wait for the next part!!!! Sometimes I feal like slapping Edward upside the head... ; ) I'm hoping that you will be updating soon, as I'm looking forward to Edwards realization that Bella is still Bella, and more involvement from Carlisle... I was hoping that Bella and Carlisle were going to run into eachother when he visited... and how/if they're going to get out of Volterra! How you've written and are including Marcus is very interesting... is he going to help Edward see past his issues..? I'm also looking forward to how you write Bella's discovering she has a gift and what it is... as well as Edwards reaction to it... and Renata's involvement....lol... So much to write about, and you've been doing it soooo well! Have you read Ithaca is Gorges by giselle? It's a fantastic story as well... it's New Moon from Edwards POV.... Your story feels like the "What if?" to hers and S. Meyer's (you have been so true to S. Meyer's characters!). Anyway, I love I Know My Duty.... I'm hoping you will complete this story (I've been traumatized before...)... Happy writing! ~Candace |

I have to say that this feels and reads much like that: it's Edward and another dark moment of his life, just like Meyer might have written. I really look forward to reading more work like this. I loved your use of sensory details. (I don't like to -and so I haven't- read very many Twilight fics, so I don't have a lot to compare your work with in that manner.)
