Summary:
   It's a poem and that's that.

The five senses -Optimism/Pessimism

As I walk with my friend, I can hear him say:
“Can you see the colors?”
“How beautiful they are.”
“Can you see the light?
“It brightens all that surround us.”

I look around and I say:
“I see no color, I see no light.”
“I can only see a dark shadow covering my existence.”

As I walk with my friend, I can hear him say:
“Can you hear the music?”
“Can you hear the voice of the world gently whispering into our ears?”
“Can you hear the sound of happiness and joy?”

I try to hear and I say:
“I hear no music, I hear no pleasant sound.”
“I can only hear the voice of those who are cursed.”
“I can only hear the voice of those who are doomed to live a mortal life.”

As I walk with my friend, I can hear him say:
“Can you smell the flowers?”
“It's a scent that puts you in a state of euphoria”

I try to smell and I say:
“I smell no flowers.”
“I can only smell the grisly scent of death hovering above us.”

As I walk with my friend, I can hear him say:
“Can you feel the stars? They are just above us.”
“If I reach out I can touch them, I can touch eternity.”

I try to raise my hands and I say:
“I feel no stars. They are far beyond us.”
“I can only feel the void, I can only touch darkness.”

As I walk with my friend, I can hear him say:
“Can you taste the nectar of life?”
“It's like an angel's song, like a mothers smile.”

I try to taste and I say:
“I taste no life.”
“I taste no angel's song, no mothers smile.”
“I only taste the sorrow of a lonely soul, of a demon's cry.”

This is a world of everything.
This is a world of nothing.
