Aa! Megami-sensei

Introduction (10/14/95)

By Peter L. Ward

Here is the introduction to my first fan-fiction series, Aa! Megami-sensei,
which is a kind of crossover between Aa! Megami-sama and Ranma 1/2 thrown in
a Teenagers From Outer Space (TFOS) setting. To summarize the concept, the
story revolves around Urd, who is pressured to take a job and winds up as a
high school chemistry teacher. However, the job happens to be at Furinkan
high, and things aren't exactly peaceful there...even for Furinkan standards.
Basically, the aliens have arrived en masse and started sending their kids to
the schools on earth (the TFOS link). All this makes for a recipe for chaos
that no one could ever anticipate.

The whole idea stems from a TFOS/Star Riders campaign that I'm running
currently. It started with the question of who would make a high school
graduation trip in space really chaotic. The answer of Urd came rather
quickly, but there was the matter of rationalizing the whole idea of Urd
being in charge of a whole bunch of high school graduates on a trip lost
in space. Eventually, it was decided that she would be the teacher in
charge of the trip, and later on, the Furinkan elements were added.

Aa! Megami-sensei is the prequel to that storyline, centering around Urd's
year as a teacher at Furinkan and how the students cope with both her and
the new arrivals. Most of the action will center, not on Akane and Ranma's
class, but on Nabiki and Kuno's class as they face a senior year. Admittedly,
this will play some havoc with official storylines in both of the anime/manga
series involved, but that can't be helped. Such is the nature of fan-fics,
especially any crossover.

As long as demand and feedback is good, I may take this series all the way to
26 "episodes" before leading on to a sequel series based on the TFOS campaign
mentioned above, "Space Bus Experimental Heavenly Express". I hope you as
the readers of the fan-fics, especially those who are Aa! Megami-sama and
Ranma 1/2 fans, enjoy the series.

Some Concepts Explained

Since the storyline originally stemmed from a TFOS/Star Riders campaign, some
items do need to be explained.

TFOS is a role-playing game (RPG) revolving around the idea of aliens running
across our world, finding it to be the coolest spot in the galaxy, and moving
into the neighborhood. Naturally, this means that the alien kids would be
going to the same schools as human kids. As you can tell, one of the major
influences on this was Urusei Yatsura. It's a great comedy RPG that's simple
to play. I highly encourage the reader to seek this game out if they are
into role-playing games and want something light-hearted. It's put out by
R. Talsorian Games (the same folks who put out the Mekton and Cyberpunk RPGs).

While Aa! Megami-sensei won't deal with this too much, Star Riders is a sequel
to TFOS put out by Ianus Press (the folks behind Protoculture Addicts, Heavy
Gear, and the Project A-ko RPG). It basically takes the teeners from TFOS,
graduates them from high school, and strands them out in space when the earth
disappears while they're away. Like I said, Aa! Megami-sensei will not deal
with this too much and only a few passing references to this will occur (such
as the galactic government being the "Dadourunrun Conundrum Empire")
Heavenly Express, if I ever get around to that series of fanfics and if there
is enough interest in it, will be in this setting.

One of the ideas common to both games and which will be exploited heavily by
this series, is the Human Fake Out. In both games, it is an ability that all
humans automatically have. Ever wonder how humanity was able to get all that
alien technology in exchange for pop culture? Simple...the aliens were so
enamored by human culture (even worse than the Zentran in the original
Macross) that whatever any human said was cool, they did it. Even if that
human was Gosunkugi Hikaru, there would be some alien, somewhere, that would
be even less cool than he was and would do anything Gosunkugi would say.
Needless to say, Nabiki will be exploiting this to the utmost... ("Well, it's
customary for humans to charge their friends 20% interest compounded daily!")

The New Students

While the characters from both series who appear in this fan-fic need little
introduction, I'll be putting in new characters that'll be unfamiliar to the
vast majority of the readers. These characters will be introduced starting
with
the second episode. Names are given name first, family name second unless
they're Japanese (marked with a (J)). After the name will be what kind of
character they are, either human or some type of alien (Near Human, Not Very
Near Human, or Real Weirdie per TFOS) and what gender the character is.

Without further ado...

Akagami Tetsuo (J) - Human male

The biggest skirt-chaser in the class, Tetsuo is also the slickest guy on
campus. He easily gets dates with both his good looks and how cool he is.
A lot of those dates, however, tend to be one-shot affairs because of two
factors. One is that he is fickle and the word "fidelity" is not in his
vocabulary. The other is that he tends to be, well, aggressive while on
those dates, pushing his companion away as he tries to take advantage of any
given situation. The most he gets, usually, is a slap in the face.

Tetsuo tends to look like your typical Kennichi Sonoda male character...
heavily moussed hair, shades, etc. and tends to dress stylishly off-campus.
Even while in uniform, he tends to look stylish.

Amano Buffy (1/2 J) - Near Human female

Buffy Amano has an interesting history behind her. She's actually half-
human and half-alien. Buffy's father, Hikaru Amano, was a Japanese astronaut
that was lost in space due to equipment malfunction. His capsule was
recovered by a Hakane scout ship, crewed by a Mirai Azaka. Not allowed to
return Hikaru to earth due to something like Star Trek's Prime Directive,
Mirai took Hikaru to her homeworld, since it was occupied by a race of
amazons. Eventually, the two fell in love, married, and Buffy came from that
union.

Buffy spent most of her life on her mother's homeworld. However, she gained
a sense of honor from her father, and thus became a loyal and protective
person. This is not to say that her mother had no influence on her. Due to
her mother's race being amazons, she grew up being rather violent at times,
and has gained some skill in martial arts.

When earth was finally "discovered" by the rest of the galaxy, Mirai and
Hikaru decided that it would be best that Buffy got a chance to see her
father's homeworld firsthand. As a result, she was transferred to spend her
senior year at her father's alma mater, Furinkan high school in Japan.

Buffy is about 6'2"; has long, wavy pink hair; dark-blue-on-light-blue eyes;
and tiny black horns. She has an athletic build and tends to wear clothes
like tunics and tights off-campus. While not at home with her paternal
grandparents or at school, she hangs out at the Tendo dojo due to her
interest in martial arts, and tends to hang out with Nabiki and Akane.

Suzie Cabbit - Not Very Near Human female

Another of the alien transfer students at Furinkan high, Suzie is a fun-
loving Khel'azi and one of the popular students in her class...well, maybe
not popular with Saotome Ranma due to her feline appearance. She loves to
hang out with the guys and is a major flirt, enjoying playing mind games
with the guys. Suzie also finds human ways intriguing and is always out to
learn new things.

Suzie is one of the shortest (if not *the* shortest) students at Furinkan,
being 4' (4'5" with her mane). She is, as mentioned before, feline in
appearance, but is upright like a human, has longish ears that stick out
straight to the sides, and a long, flowing, mohawk-like white mane of hair
and brown fur. Her favorite color is teal or turquoise, and she hates both
water (messes up the fur) and short jokes. Anyone either getting her wet
or cracking a short joke gets a nasty swipe from her claws.

Dozul Hegaba - Not Very Near Human male

Introverted even for a Mohadi, Dozul is hardly seen outside of classes, home,
or the science fiction club on campus. The reason is simple...he is an
otaku. He tends to spend time watching mecha-based shows, building mecha
models, and designing his own mecha. If approached by anyone, he tends to be
rather shy (unless it has anything to do with his favorite subjects).

Dozul looks like a humanoid mole and isn't in shape. He tends to wear sweat-
suits outside of school. He's usually hanging around Mackie and trying to
come up with new equipment for him.

Ishikawa Mariko (J) - Human female

One of the more aggressive students at Furinkan high, Mariko is the school's
track star, as well as a good all-around athelete. Aside from track and
field, her favorite team sport is softball. While happy out on the sports
fields, she can be a bit irritable off of those fields. Usually, those who
are also atheletes of any sort, or at least shows some interest in sports
fall on her good side. Push her far enough, and one might find a softball
bat (usually an aluminum one) imbedded in their skull...

At 5'8", Mariko is quite tall and has a naturally athletic build. She keeps
her hair in a style similar to Tendo Nabiki's, but a bit longer. When
not in uniform, she prefers sporty clothes, and tends not to like dressy or
formal clothing.

Joat-Mon Kil'tar - Not Very Near Human male

Joat-Mon is often described as a prankster, but his teachers tend to prefer
the term "troublemaker". He usually pulls off stunts to pass the time or to
get a reaction from the people around him. However, he tends to think after
he acts, and this has gotten him in trouble on plenty of occasions. Those
closest to him (few that there are) tend to suffer less from his actions, but
that's not saying much.

He was one of the first aliens to move to earth. Actually, make that "be
moved" since his parents sent him there as soon as the aliens "discovered"
earth, if only to be rid of him for a while. Due to his longer time on earth,
he was able to build some resistance to the Human Fake Out (anything a human
says must be true...after all, humans are the coolest race in the galaxy).
However, it isn't fool-proof and he likes to practice up on it from time to
time.

When confronted with an unfamiliar device, he'll get curious and try to mash
buttons, flip switches, etc. to try and get it to work in some way. If all
else fails, he'll actually sit down and try to figure it out in a logical
manner.

Joat-mon is a 6'3"-tall Sefelinediovoureocity, which is a tiger-morph with
large bat-like wings (about 14' wingspan with both wings)...another character
that's real popular with Saotome Ranma. He has white fur with black stripes
and purple eyes. He usually wears a black t-shirt, black jeans, and black
shoes when off-campus.

Billie Kraftwerk - Human male

The Kraftwerk family has long been masters of their crafts in anything
mechanical. Billie's grandfather, Vilheim, invented the angular frame, one
of the forerunners of the linear frame used in today's mecha. Billie's uncle,
Damiel, is assisting Professor Minoffsky in very promising research in cold
fusion and magnetic bottles. Lisl, Billie's cousin, is working on biological
computers and is acknowledged to be one of the rising stars in her field.
And no one even knows what Billie's younger brother Ivan is doing, save that
it's classified.

And Billie? He can't pass pre-calc math. He can cobble together anything,
as well as hack and modify gizmoes. But it's all innate. He had the devils
own time getting through trig. Geometry was easy for him - when the teacher
wasn't looking, he put together an origami compass and derived the angles and
proofs he couldn't remember. But pre-calc is all memorization and that's one
thing he's lousy at.

Billie was sent to Furinkan high via the foreign exchange program in hopes
that his math skills would improve. His parents have threatened him with
math camp if his grades didn't improve...

Billie is 5'6 and wears his brown hair in bangs. He wears glasses, and has
no fashion sense whatsoever. He usually wears mis-matched preppy-style
clothes off-campus and carries an expanding briefcase instead of the usual
school bookbag.

RXF-95 "Mackie" - Real Weirdie male

One of the biggest egos among the male students, RXF-95 (known as Mackie to
his fellow students) is hot-headed. He also loves to show off, especially
his all-new mechanoid body based on the VF-19KAI Fire Valkyrie from the
recent series Macross 7. Unfortunately for everyone around him, he also loves
to play guitar...badly. He's rather ignorant as to how bad his guitar playing
is and is always willing to show off his dubious skills. Mackie hopes to be
as good as his older sister, RXF-87 "Kayla", who's the skilled bassist for
the rock band "The Nomads."

Mackie doesn't really need a description, since he's basically a 6' version
of the Fire Valkyire. He is usually seen carrying around a guitar case,
always ready to give anyone a sample of his skills. He also hangs around
Dozul Hegaba, since Dozul designed his current mechanoid body and provides
new equipment from time to time.

Kiddy Sazan - Near Human female

The school's little miss cyberpunk, Kiddy loves to crack computer systems
and tap into communications setups. She doesn't do it out of malice, but
for the challenge and for the info to be dug up. Due to sharing a common
interest in information, she forms a team with Takaya Michiko known as
the "Info Babes," with her as the technical expert while Michiko handles
the human aspects of info gathering.

Kiddy is a Watari with long, spiky pink hair and pointed ears. While off-
campus, her wardrobe consists of t-shirts and jeans for most occasions. She
gets along well with most people. Far from being a stereotypical hacker
(despite her nickname), she is a pretty social person and does have an
interest in the opposite sex...though she is a bit shy in that area.

Takaya Michiko (J) - Human female

The number one source for gossip at Furinkan high, Michiko is very popular
with the passengers and faculty due to her skill with the grapevine. Even
though she's a gossip, she's never malicious with it and always serves it up
with a smile. Because of this and the fact that she treats everyone equally
(i.e., she gets the dirt on everyone), she remains popular instead of being
shunned by everyone...after all, everyone wants the dirt on someone else!
She is one half of the "Info Babes" and deals with the human and social
aspects of their "information gathering" while Kiddy Sazan, her partner, digs
around on the computer and communication nets.

Michiko is average-height and has long, curly hair and pleasant, smiling
features. She's usually dressed up off-campus in more feminine outfits,
and is trying to give Kiddy help with her wardrobe.

Tanaka Rika (J) - Human female

Rika is considered one of the dreamers in her class. She's an aspiring
singer, and has some talent in that area. However, she's unwilling to step
on other people as she presses towards her goal, and is rather kind to others.
She is realistic enough to know that the music industry is tough to get into,
she's also studying literature for a backup career in the teaching field.
Her studies in literature, poetry in particular, gave her inspiration for her
own songs, and has molded her into the idealist that she is.

Rika is average-height with attractive features; long, straight hair; and a
slender build due to her years of studying dance as well as music and
literature. She has a calming influence on the people around her, which is
especially handy with the likes of Buffy, Mariko, and Mackie running around
campus.

Tategawa Minoru (J) - Human male

One of the more popular students at Furinkan high, Minoru is the best among
the school's few drivers. Whether it be a car or motorcycle, he loves to
tear up the roads in it. Not content with merely driving vehicles, he loves
to tinker with them as well, trying to push the machine even further in its
performance. He's been approached by several college motor clubs, including
the one at Nekomi Institute of Technology, to join up once he enters college.

Minoru is average height for a male with his hair in bangs over the forehead.
Off-campus, he's usually wearing t-shirt, jeans, goggles, and a leather
jacket.

Aa! Megami-sensei!

by Peter Ward

Episode 1: Changes in the Air

The snow fell gently on a certain temple in Japan during a February morning.
At the temple, the current occupants were engaged in various projects,
enjoying the peaceful winter day...

BOOOOOM!!!!

"Urd!!!!"

In what served as the garage at the temple were the smoking ruins of a
go-cart, the latest victim of Urd's meddling. Urd herself stood to the side
as her sisters berated her, while Keiichi merely sat on some steps, looking
dejectedly at the fried go-cart.

"Urd, what did you think you were doing there? Now poor Keiichi has to start
over again on that go-cart so that it'll be ready for this weekend's race!"

"It's not my fault, Belldandy!" Urd retorted. "It gets so boring here with you
guys getting so domestic! All I wanted to do was help out around here some,
and I figured that the go-cart needed some modifications to the design, that's
all!"

"Oh, you modified it all right, sis," Skuld cut in, "now it's a heap of scrap
metal because you could never control your powers properly! You always go too
far, never show any restraint, you're always pushy..."

"Enough, Skuld." Belldandy said quietly, putting a hand on her younger
sister's shoulder. "Urd, maybe you really should find something to do to keep
you busy and not get bored. Nekomi Tech's got some clubs there that you can
join, or you can find a part-time job or something..."

"That's a thought, Belldandy," Keiichi chimed in, finally looking up from the
ruined go-cart. "We can always use the extra income, with four mouths to feed
here at least. Five, if you count my sister coming here all the time! Not to
mention supplies for classes, the Motor Club..."

"Stuff that you keep blowing up or otherwise wasting, Urd!" Skuld
interjected.

"What?!? Me, a goddess, get a job?? I shouldn't have to bother with such
mundane chores!" Urd shouted out.

"Excuse me, but who is it that got herself banned from the heavens about half
a year ago? And who is it that got her goddess license reinstated this
month?" Skuld replied.

"You should talk, you little brat! You're grounded here as well! Well, fine!
We'll see who's right about me needing a job on the mortal plane!" And with
that, Urd stormed off to her room, grabbing the morning paper on the way.

"I hope she understands that this is for her own good. It really wasn't
exactly how I hoped it would go over..." Belldandy said quietly after a long
pause.

"I'm sure that things will work out all right, Belldandy! They usually do
around here, even when she's like this." Keiichi replied as he got up and went
to her side.

"'Get a job' they say. Well, we'll see just how good I am about getting a
job! Lessee..." Urd muttered as she stormed into her room. She sat down to
flip through the want ads she grabbed on the way in. Hostess...hmmmm....
Office Lady, nope! Stewardess...nice outfits, but I can't keep an eye on
Belldandy and Keiichi...Hmmm?"

Urd's eyebrows perked up.

"'Teacher wanted...high school in need of a chemistry teacher...ability to
discipline students a plus. Send resumes to Principal Kuno at Furinkan High
School.' Well, this sounds interesting. I certainly have some skill with
that, even if it's mainly with potions. Being able to play cupid to those
students is certainly a plus. Wonder why discipline is such a major point
though? Oh, well, I can certainly handle any student that acts up in class!
Right! This is a job for...the Great Goddess Urd!!"

Urd sat there laughing with glee for a few minutes, then looked around and
found a few blank pieces of paper lying around.

"Now I have to come up with a resume and credentials so I can get the job.
That's all right, I can forge them easily!"

Winds of time, spirit of knowledge,
Lend thy aid to the greatest of Norns!
Give me documents of credibility
And signs of wisdom,
So that mortal youth
Can benefit from my ability!

With that, wisps of smoke swirled around the floating pages, leaving inkmarks
along their path. After a few seconds, the smoke dissipated and the pages
floated back down to the table top in a neat stack. Urd picked them up and
inspected her handiwork.

"All right! Not bad, if I do say so myself! Now to send them in the mail and
land that job!" Urd said as she walked off into the hallway.

A few weeks later, Urd went to Furinkan High for her interview. Looking over
the campus, she got the impression that it was just like any other high school
as she made her way to the principal's office.

"Aloha, Miss Urd! Welcome to Furinkan High School!" Principal Kuno nearly
shouted as he greeted Urd. "By the way, is that your family name, or your
given name?"

"It's my name" Urd simply replied.

The principal only laughed loudly in return. "I've been going over your
credentials and resume, and I'm verrry impressed with what I see! You taught
at Yggdrasil High School before moving to Japan, and not only are skilled with
chemistry, but also bio-sciences, computer sciences, and literature. Sounds
like we can use you to fill in for other classes as well whenever a teacher
calls in sick or something like that. However, there remains the question of
being able to enforce discipline around here, which is very important! Just
how do you propose that you'll be able to keep control of things? Mind you,
it takes a lot to keep this student body in line!"

A few seconds later, a bright flash of light could be seen from outside the
office window, follwed by some smoke...

"How's that for a demonstration, principal Kuno?" Urd said with a smile.

"Eheheh...well...it shows promise, more than the other candidates" the now
soot-covered principal said weakly. "All right, you've got the job! It
starts in April, so you have a couple of months to prepare! Have a good
winter and I'll see you for your orientation in March!"

"Thank you for your time, principal, and sorry for the mess!" Urd replied,
stifling a giggle.

Stepping outside the office, Urd leaned back against the wall out of sight and
let out a sigh of relief.

"Well, I got the job, that'll show Keiichi and my sisters. But I wonder who's
the biggest problem...the supposed problem students, or the principal himself?
What was with that getup anyway? A loud Hawaiian shirt and lei? Not to
mention those flowers in his hair. Geez...he looked like some tourist or
something. Maybe he was planning to go on vacation after the interview and he
dresses normally during the regular year or something? Who knows?"

With that, Urd walked down the hallway on her way out.

It was about that time that a top-secret meeting has concluded in the
Secretary General's private office at UN Headquarters in New York. Some
odd-shaped figures disappeared in a flash of light, leaving the Secretary
General and representatives from the nations on the Security Council in the
room.

"Well, that's that." The Secretary General said after a long pause. "Now we
face the task of telling the people of earth that they're now citizens of the
Dadourunrun Empire and that they'll have some rather unusual next door
neighbors, to say the least."

The US representative, concluding a quick phone conversation, walked up and
added "I was in touch with the President, and the US government will make the
transition as smooth as possible. He also said that they're dismantling the
X-Files project and declassifying everything related to UFOs over time. Of
course, what little our guests revealed blew away years of research that we
had."

"Da. Our research was also outclassed by what our guests had to show." The
Russian representative confirmed. "What I want to know is why they were
willing to give us all their technology for the promise that we'll help them
set up shopping malls, movie theaters, and fast food restaurants..."

"Yes...a rather interesting deal there..." The Chinese representative said
quietly. "One that bears some study. We may have some sort of phenomenon
that we, as the people of earth, might be able to exploit..."

Back at the temple...

"Hey guys! I got the job!"

Keiichi and Belldandy stepped out into the entryway at the sound of Urd's
cheerful voice, with Skuld tagging along with a suspicious look on her face.

"That's great!" Belldandy exclaimed. "I knew you could do it! What kind of
job did you get?"

"Get this, guys...this April, I'm starting the job as a chemistry teacher at
one of the local high schools! It'll be great, won't it?"

"Wait a second!" Skuld interrupted. "It's too early for an April Fool's joke!
Really, what kind of job did you get, hmmmm, sis?"

"I told you, you little brat! I'm the new chemistry teacher at Furinkan High
School. What? You don't believe me?" Urd asked, trying not to get
completely annoyed by Skuld.

"Urd, since when have you been a teacher? Don't you need credentials and a
degree, or something?" Belldandy asked in return, trying to keep things
peaceful instead of degenerating into yet another spat between her sisters.

"Well, um, I was able to come up with those things easily! Besides, I know
stuff that human teachers can't possibly imagine! I'd be perfect for the
job!"

"Aha! I knew it...you forged those credentials, didn't you?!" Skuld
exclaimed.

"Well, you really didn't expect me to sit through years of unnecessary
training, did you?" Urd growled at Skuld.

Keiichi, gaining an interest in finding a safe spot while the goddesses
argued, stepped back into the living room, where the TV was still going. As
he was settling down to watch whatever was on in safety, the program was
interruped by a special news report. Deciding this was more important than
another goddess squabble, Keiichi stepped back into the hallway.

"Hey, break it up! There's something coming on TV...some sort of news flash!"

All three sisters dropped their arguing and followed Keiichi into the living
room and gathered around the TV.

"We interrupt this program for a special bulletin! Reporting live from UN
Headquarters in New York City is Kanzaki Hibiki."

"Thank you! A short while ago, the Secretary General of the UN called an
emergency session to start in a few minutes, which was open to the world
press. Details were not given as to the nature of this meeting, except that
it was of ultimate importance to the human race. As you can see, we are in a
gallery overlooking the chamber and all of the represenatives are assembled.
The Secretary General is making his way to the podium to address the
gathering..."

A couple of months later, another school year started at Furinkan High School.
While the definition of "normal" was debateable on this campus, things were
unusual from the start this year. While foreign exchange students were
long-ago accepted, now there were some really odd beings among the student
body. Aliens, having moved to earth in the previous two months, were among
the new students this year. Some looked just like humans, with the exception
of odd hair colors or other details. The student body could deal with that
since Shampoo was around at times. Some, however, were far from looking human
and drew some stares.

Up in the teacher's lounge, Urd stood looking out the window at the students
in the courtyard coming for the first day of school.

"Well, things do seem to be normal around here, even with the aliens moving in
on this planet..." Urd says quietly to herself. "I'll admit, things did seem
a bit hairy when they told us about them, but they seem to be fitting in just
fine. Actually, the only really unusual thing I've seen around here so far is
that damn principal. No wonder there's a discipline problem, what with the
way he dresses. I simply can't believe that there *is* a shirt louder than
the one he wore to the interview, but I guess he proved that it is
possible..."

A shout from the courtyard broke her train of thought.

"Saotome, you wretch!!!"

"Aw, go stuff it Kuno!"

Urd snapped to attention as two boys out of uniform ran around in the crowd
below. One, in a kendo uniform, was chasing the other boy in chinese-style
clothing and pony-tail with a boken. The pony-tailed boy leaped out of the
way as a swing from the boken actually managed to bring down one of the trees.

"Eh? Did one of them say 'Kuno'? Isn't that the principal's name?" Urd
asked noone in particular. While trying to figure things out, she was shoved
aside as a young girl, maybe 12, with flowing brown hair and a loose yellow
dress jumped up into the window.

"Those delinquents are at it again! When are they ever going to learn to
behave themselves?" The girl shouted as she leaped out the window in a burst
of hyper-activity.

"Wait!" Urd shouted out after her. "Leave this for the teachers! And aren't
you a little young for high school anyway?"

"Hahahaha! I see that you met Miss Hinako!" boomed a voice behind Urd. She
turned around and saw that it was principal Kuno that was standing there.
"She's the english teacher we hired last year to also deal with the discipline
problem around here. Watch and find out why! Hahaha!"

"What a weirdo!" Urd thought to herself. "First his getup, and now his choice
of teachers...who hires a 12-year-old for a teacher anyway? Eh?!?"

Urd stood there in amazement as Hinako ran after the two, waving around a
5-yen coin. The pony-tailed student ducked to the side as the boken-waving
student got hit with a mysterious force, weakening him. Urd watched in
fascination as Hinako started to grow up before her eyes, like a time lapse
film. When it was all over, Hinako stood there in the form of a tall, very
shapely woman; the yellow dress fitting her very tightly and almost
revealingly.

"That'll teach you to misbehave before the start of school!" Hinako finally
said in a deeper voice to a severely weakened student and walked back into the
building.

"By the way, that student that she caught there is my son, Tatewaki. He'll be
in your first-period senior chemistry class." principal Kuno answered Urd's
unspoken question as he stepped towards the lounge door. "Now, shouldn't we
go over to that class before it starts, so I can introduce you to your
students?"

"Ummmm...yeah, right" Urd replied weakly. To herself, she asked, "What have I
gotten myself into here?"
