I apologize for writing so late. I was trying a new shadow clone jutsu to help with my story. All of my clones went out of control with the story and they screwed everything up and it took longer. I tried.

Summary: it's the year 2018 and everything is almost basically done by technology.

Of course everything is almost hand free. Two lucky girls have discovered a regular game called. `Bey-saga' and they were transported into a virtual game world.

After school at the park, mai and sai collapsed on the ground panting and whining. Ray and kai were with them not to long ago. They left for a moment to get the girls so cold water bottles from the store. Mai looked at sai out of one of her tired eyes.

“I'm beat! I can't take this anymore!” she complained to her sister.

Sai managed to sit up and reached for her towel with a tired hand and wiped her face of sweat. “It's your own fault. Maybe you're getting fat and you're just out of shape.”

“So, we lied to them for a few weeks. That's no reason to put us to training. How did we get mixed up in this?”

“Don't you remember?” Sai asked.

(Leave that to me! Shadow clone number one, that's me, was responsible for that scene! Here's what happened. It was not to long long long ago!)

 

Kai had confiscated the new virtual game console from max and tyson. They wouldn't stop arguing who would get it first, so kai took it away from them until they shut up and finished their homework. And that could take a long while. He chucked his school bag onto his bed and made his way to his computer. He took his floppy disk out of his pocket and pushed it into the slot to finish the strategy data for dranzer's upgrade that was in an encrypted code that Kenny sent him before he went to school.

(Shadow clone number two: That makes absolutely no sense at all!

Shadow clone number one: Hey! I was in the middle of telling my story!

Shadow clone number two: I'm setting the story straight. How it really happened was that Kai and ray ganged up on mai…

Shadow clone number one: Whoa. Hold up! You just interrupted my story telling! I should interrupt you! I think I am entitled to that privilege. Do you have the story telling rock? Did Lady Amazon say you can interrupt? I don't think so.

Lady Amazon: Shut up you fools! You're both interrupting! Shadow clone number one will finish her part of the scene and then we'll jump to another flash back!

Shadow clone number one: Thank you!

Shadow clone number two: Get on with it already!)

 

When he uploaded the file, nothing happened. It was working just fine before. He took the disk out and looked it over. Being as smart as he is, he hooked up the virtual game console. He found the slot where the disk goes in, but before he did that, he locked the door to his room. The bladebreakers were staying for a while until they start training for the tournament at school. He picked the virtual glasses and put them on. Then he put the disk in the slot.

(Unfortunately shadow clone number one's memory is a little foggy and doesn't remember how the rest of the scene worked out. The rest is what she remembered.)

Change in point of view (Sai has logged in and mai stayed out because she `lost' her Bey-saga disk.)

Raven was standing outside the item shop with john and apollo.

“Do you want me to give her a message that you two went on ahead?” he asked. He turned he gaze to a female who seemed lost. “Excuse me miss, are you okay?”

Raven and john turned around to see who he was talking to. That lost female looked to be Reka! But her clothes were different.

“Mai - I mean reka! What took you so long? I thought you said you lost your disk.” Raven said as she pulled her hood down to reveal her face.

(Now you all understand that kai is now reka.)

Kai/reka looked at her in confusion. `She just called me mai for a second, but who the heck is reka? What kind of place is this?' Kai looked around and then inspected his body to see if it was real. His eyes widen when he looked down at his chest. Or her chest…

“Gyahh! What the--?!”

Raven approached her sister and touched her shoulder in concern. “You okay?”

Kai brushed past her and asked Apollo if he had a mirror. Apollo handed her one and when kai took one look and saw mai's reflection instead of his own he dropped the mirror and grabbed his head in confusion.

`I'm her?! How can I be her?! I'm me! This is impossible! What's going on?!'

Apollo looked at the broken mirror. “That'll be 15 gold and seven years bad luck.”

Raven crossed her arms, getting tired of her sister's behavior. “Mai, what's wrong with you? Kai finally made you crack?”

`If I'm mai and that girl knows the both of us…could she be sai?' he thought. He gave it a try and called her. “Sis?” he asked. Raven nodded in acknowledgment, thinking that she was asking a question.

`Who would have thought a videogame would get me in touch with mai? That floppy disk must have been mai's I.D card into this game and now I'm her!' He casts a glance at raven. `So that girl over there is mai's sister sai. This is what they've been hiding all this time! They are so busted when ray and I get through with them.'

 

(Now shadow clone number two will take over the rest of the story so that the both of them can get off my back!

Shadow clone number two: I'm telling the part when kai told ray and how they backed her into a corner in a class room! That's how it really happened.

Shadow clone number one: It didn't happen that way! Why does she get to tell the rest?

Shadow clone number two: Shows what you know! I'm better than you.

Lady Amazon: Stop it already!!)

 

 

At school, in an empty class room ray and kai cornered mai against the class room window. Mai slumped down and trembled in fear at their angered facial expression.

“No point in hiding anything anymore, mai.” Kai said as he waved her floppy disk.

Ray crossed her arms. “You better explain everything to us right now. Sai has been absent a few times and I want to know what's up.”

“No fair! You two are ganging up on me!” mai somewhat shouted and then played with her index fingers. “I can't tell you everything because we swore that we wouldn't tell you guys. We thought it would be dangerous.” She said honestly.

“It might not be so dangerous if you and sai are getting a kick out of it.” Kai said as he tossed her disk on the ground in front of her. “So where is sai?” he asked.

Mai pointed to her sister's laptop that was sitting on top of a desk. It was currently on and they could see raven's icon on the screen. Knowing that their secret is blown mai confessed everything to them.

“Okay. Me and sai…well mostly it was sai, I was just looking, we found this advertisement about a video game and sai went to get it. I hooked it up and played. Sai found out and she joined in too. We got addicted, we were going to tell you all, but our guardian characters told us to not tell anyone because it might be too risky. So out of the goodness of our hearts we kept it a secret to ensure our safety. Completely not selfish. How does that sound?” Mai said in the end.

Kai and ray still looked unimpressed. Mai was going to try again, but raven/sai set an S.O.S to her. Mai quickly scrambled to the laptop to type in a response. She nearly did an anime fall when the response came back that sai was completely fine and that she wanted her sister to log in so that the two of them can go into the tower they saw before when they first arrived to Bey-saga. Mai looked at ray and kai as if asking for permission. The look on their faces said that her question was shot down. Ray walked over to the computer screen and looked at raven's icon.

“So, That's sai right there? That doesn't look like her.”

“For some strange reason her identity was more altered than mine. We figured it was something our uncle or our grandpa did when they made the game, but we're not entirely sure.” Mai explained to him while she fished out her virtual glasses. Kai swiped them away from her before she got the chance to put them on.

“What makes you think you're going into that game…?”

“…Without us?” ray finished for him as he also grabbed the virtual glasses.

Mai looked back and forth at them seeing that she's at a disadvantage. One boy is her life time crush…the other is her sister's crush since the fifth grade…together both boys could seriously kick her butt. Unpleasant images appeared in her head causing tears.

“Okay, okay! You two can come along. I don't like it because this will all end in tears.” She whined as she took out an extra pair of glasses for them that sai bought incase.

Ray and kai hooked up the glasses and waited for something to happen. Mai puts hers on and put her floppy disk into the slot and then two blank ones. Before she pressed the enter button she told ray and kai to sit down or else they'll hit their heads on something hard and get a concussion when they wake up. They did as they were told and mai hit enter.

“Alright, here we go! Jack in: Mai! Kai! Ray!”

(Bey-saga)

 

The wind blew raven's hair wildly. She stood there feet planted and arms crossed and eyes closed. Behind her was the tower they saw when they first came to Bey-saga.

`The Terror Tower…from what I've heard nobody's ever beaten it or even got to the top floor. I missed a few days of school to try it out myself…I only made it to the 8th floor and got my butt kicked. I also heard that boy, I know for sure now is tala, made it to the 18th floor! But I`ve got most of this place figured out from some sources.' Raven opened her eyes and stared tensely at the tower. `I don't know why I want to go here so bad. Most players like tala got mega experience points for trying terror tower…but I just got this vibe that something will happen in there. That feeling got stronger and stronger every time I get past one level. Something in that tower is calling out to me and I want to know what it is...' Raven's eyes widen in surprise at herself. She covered her mouth. `Wow, for a few seconds there I sound like some obsessed freak seeking ultimate power…I've been with mai for way too long…'

“Sorry, I'm late raven…something came up and wouldn't go down.”

Raven slowly turn her head, “That's okay as long as you didn't - What the heck are they doing here?!” Raven shouted as she pointed to Ray and Kai.

Ray's features were still the same. Instead of the white wrap to hold his long hair, it was in a pony tail to let his long hair flow. (The top of his head is still spiky. I saw it once on G revolution when he was training. What a sight that was.) The Chinese clothes were a permanent thing for him only his headband was gone and the yin yang symbols were on his gloves.

Kai's facial features looked the same and his hair was the same too. He wore a tight black shirt and a purple flamed somewhat short jacket that was unzipped. His pants are the same as the G revolution and he has a sword attached to his back. (It looked a lot better in my head…if you don't like it tell me and I'll change it.)

“Well, you see…it's a long story…” mai said sheepishly as she rubbed the back of her head. Raven summoned her black magic to hit her on the head.

“Idiot! Didn't you hear what our first guardian said about bringing our friends here?! Why can't you ever keep your mouth shut?!”

Reka grabbed her head in pain. “Ow! It's not my fault! They ganged up on me and you know I don't handle pressure so well!”

“Well, you could've done something!”

“Alright, Sai that's enough. I already gave her a lecture so tell us what's going on here since only you can.” Kai said crossing his arms.

Raven held up one finger. “One: down here in the game, I'm not sai. My Bey-saga name is Raven. You know that girl from that show the teen titans?”

“I don't watch cartoons.”

“You poor unfortunate soul.” Reka said.

Raven went on, “Mai is Reka now. Make sure you call us by those names so that no one will know our real identities. I didn't make up the rules it's just how it is.”

Nobody said anything, probably trying to digest everything around them. Reka broke the silence and asked sai why she wanted to meet here. Sai told them about terror tower and what waits inside. Reka automatically wanted to back out but thanks to a few insults from kai she swallowed her fear and decided to tag along. With few complaints they went inside the tower following sai's lead. Ray and kai stayed in the back until they got the hang of the game. They made it to the third level of the tower where sai had to face a dragon zombie. She created a dark barrier for kai and ray.

“Raven! You know how to beat this thing right?!” reka asked while blocking on coming attacks that weren't letting up.

“Only by a crazy fluke! Its weakness is fire and I don't know any fire spells or have any fire crystals on me! I used the torches that light up the place!” she called out to her behind her shield. She couldn't fight and keep the shield up to protect the guys.

Ray saw the troubled look on Raven's face and he felt helpless. He didn't know what he could do, but he didn't want to risk endangering them. He thought of another solution and then remembered. `Its weakness is fire...Sai told us that this game brings a person's qualities into the game. Could that possibly mean…'

“Kai!” Ray called out to get his attention. “I just thought of something crazy. Do you think that our abilities are in this game?”

“What do you mean?”

“Raven just said that its weakness is fire…well I think that for some wacky reason if you call on Dranzer you can beat this dragon with dranzer's power.”

“That's a good plan, but how do you suggest that I call dranzer?”

Raven looked over her shoulder. “I don't have any idea what you two are talking about, but try calling out one of its attacks. Maybe something will happen.”

Kai stood in a stance with a halfhearted expression on his face as he called out one of dranzer's attacks. “Flame saber!!”

Nothing happened. Reka was running back and forth trying to avoid the dragons' rage. Everyone had sweat drops at the embarrassing moment. Reka managed to get a good distance away and shouted at kai while waving a dagger. “You fool! What was that?!”

Kai crossed his arms. “I gave it my best shot. I didn't expect any miracles to happen.”

“Best shot my cute butt! You have to put more feeling into it! I can't believe you can't even call your flaming chicken to save our life.”

Vein pops.

“Want to say that again?”

“I'll say it as much as I like. Kai can't call his flaming chicken to save his life! Maybe you have to cluck for it! C'mon on, kai do something. I bet you can't even hit the blind side of a barn! HAHAHAHA!!” Reka taunted. On the inside she was enjoying it because it was her chance to vent and get payback.

Kai was gritting his teeth with rage now. Ray and Raven were looking really fearful right now. Raven had let down her shield because she ran out of mana. (Energy.)

“You're so annoying! Dranzer!! Flame Saber!!” kai roared and sure enough flame saber came out of the ceiling and into the dragon, burning it severely, but not enough to kill him. Reka was glad that the attack missed her and she was proud that kai did his first spell. She waved him down to congratulate him. “Hey! Great job! You did it!”

Kai, Ray and Raven looked on in amazement. They momentarily forgot that the dragon was slowly rising and they shouted to reka to get away.

“Huh? He's still alive?!”

~~*!*!*!!*!*!*!* Break!!!

Mai waved her hands in front motioning for her sister to stop. “Okay! Enough, I get it. I don't exactly want to remember being fried just because he couldn't take a joke.”

“I wonder, what's the connection between the BladeBreakers and tala? The atmosphere was intense when we saw him again on level 19 of terror tower.” Sai said looking up at the sky lost in thought.

“Yeah…” mai said softly as looked up too, remembering the event.

Leaving the corpse of the dead dragon behind, kai, ray, reka, and raven proceeded up the stairs to the next level. When they reached the top there came to a solid armored door.

“Should we knock?” Ray asked out loud.

“No need fools. Gamers like you are always welcome to add your remains to our collection. We have a special way of honoring the valiant heroes who leave their bones in our care…”

“….”

“Really?” kai said commented.

“That's too weird.” Ray added.

“Was he here before?” Reka asked her sister.

“I don't think so. I never forget a face, especially one that ugly.”

“You don't know me, but I know you. Reka and raven the feared female duo along with….who are those two? Where's john?” the little imp asked.

 

“Those two are our new friends in the game. They're part of our party as for john we don't know what happened to him.” Reka answered. “What's with the third degree? Who are you and what are you doing here?”

 

“My apologies, where are my manners? I'm kin, monster guide of terror tower.”

 

Raven closed her eyes as she pulled her hood over her head. “Please to meet you, now, Bye-bye.”

Reka pulled out her daggers. “You're not a goblin or a gremlin and to be quite frank I don't care what type of monster you are because you will go squish.”

“Wait! Stop! Hear me out!” kin cried in fright as they prepared to attack him. “You won't gain any experience, items, or money by killing me!”

 

“But my ears will stop ringing from his pathetic yammering!” kai snapped with irritation. “Tell me about it.” Ray said rubbing his head.

“Consider me your guide to the final levels of terror tower!”

 

“We don't need a guide we already have a map.” Raven said.

“Well…the thing is you have to wait for a few minutes.”

 

“What do you mean?” Ray asked.

“I think he means that the level isn't loaded yet. The boss for this level must have a real complex A.I. running mobs like that is a load on the system. The server must be trying to free up some memory.” Raven summed up.

“Thank you, pretty lady! That's it exactly!” He plopped on her leg.

“I wasn't talking to you! Get off of me!” she zapped him with dark magic.

“I guess we're stuck.” Ray said.

Kai kicked the imp. “Thanks for nothing.”

Then they sat in silence until the door opened. Occasionally they would talk or steal glances at each other. Finally the door opened and they walked inside.

 

(The next scene was too gruesome to read and I didn't have the stomach to write it out. Sorry, but the shadow clones had to skip the battle sequence. We give you our sincere apologies. Here's what happened after the battle.)

The four of them were all bloody, scratched, bruised, and low on mana. As they walked they had to lean on one another for support. When they reached the final step to the 20th level they were greeted by kin again.

“Welcome gamers to the final level of terror tower. Where you will be rewarded by riches beyond your wildest dreams…”

The four of them looked at kin with the desire to kill.

“Can I kill him now?” Reka asked the three of them.

“Fine by us, go for it.” They responded.

“You can't be normal gamers!! If you kill me now, you'll never know what's behind these doors!!” He cried.

 

“Whatever it is I'm sure we'll find out ourselves.” Reka stated as she began slashing at him. The other three waited for her to finish up.

 

Ray and kai stepped over the unconscious kin and pushed the double armored doors open. When all four of them stepped in they were shocked to see blood and discarded body parts all over the stone room.

“What happened here? It looks likes someone put them in a blender!” Mai asked.

“Someone must've gotten here first.” Kai said as he stepped closer.

“That's right. You players should know that it's first come, first serve in this game.” A voice said in the darkness.

“Who's that?” ray asked out loud.

Out of nowhere a white wolf comes out and snaps at them. Reka and Raven stumble back into kai and ray that stood in front of them in a protective motion and glared ahead.

Once seeing the wolf in a better light they see that it was wolborg. Reka gasped and pointed at wolborg.

“Hey! Its walrus!” she declared, somewhat proud of herself for remembering.

The others did an anime fall, while wolborg sweat drops.

“It's wolborg!”

Tala came into view and petted his bitbeast. “I see you haven't gotten any smarter since the last time we met.”

“Hey!”

“It's been a long time kai and ray.” Tala greeted.

The two boys didn't say anything. There was almost nothing to say. Reka was oblivious of the intensity of the room. Raven felt a strong vibe coming from somewhere in the room. “Whoa…” she said breathlessly.

“Hmm. So you feel it too. This trip was a waste of my time. The treasure was not for me but it doesn't matter…mine is better, in this world and in the real world.”

“Not much of treasure, hunter are you?” Reka asked.

Tala ignored her and walked past all four of them without looking back and without saying a word.

“Did we just get completely dissed?” ray asked kai.

“Looks like it. We'll be sure to get him back at the tournament.”

Raven looked to her left and ran over there. No one noticed that she left the group until she called them over to where she sitting. They stood around her and stood there wondering what she wanted to show them. It was a treasure chest.

“Tala must've come for this, but for some reason…it won't open.” Raven said as she struggled to open the chest. Reka gave it a try but she couldn't open it either. The four of them looked at each other and nodded. Together they kicked the treasure chest in attempt to open it and it worked. They hovered over the chest to see what was inside and it was…

 

*!*!*!*!*!*!*!**!*!*!*!!Back to the real world. **~*!*~*~*~*~*~

“Tala had a good laugh on us.” Mai huffed out as she mindlessly pulled grass out of the ground still waiting for the boys to come back with water. What could be taking them so long? The store's across the street from the park.

“Well, some crazy people like their little jokes. What do we do now?” sai asked with her eyes closed to rest them.

“I don't know you're the smart one. It's not like we can give them back. We should've left those eggs in the dang tower. I don't want a bitbeast. I don't even know what a bitbeast is! Ow!!”

A water bottle was thrown at her head making a bump appear. Mai winced as she rubbed the bump on her head. She grabbed the water bottle at her side and looked behind her to see that kai and ray had returned finally.

“What's you do that for you jerk?!” mai shouted.

Kai just threw a bag of chips t her and sat down next to her. Mai glared but just shrugged it off and drank her water.

Behind them ray was sitting next to sai who still had her eyes closed. Ray grabbed the ice cold water bottle and placed it on sai's head. Her eyes snapped open.

“Ah! Cold! Cold!” She sat up and pushed the water bottle away from her head.

“Heh. Here you go.” Ray said as he smiled and gave her the water bottle and a bag of chips. They were her favorite kind and his too.

“O-oh. Thank you.” Sai stuttered. Her blush was bright red. She tried to hide it under her bangs. She gasped when she felt ray's hand brush them away.

“Are you okay? You're face is really red, you're not getting heat stroke are you?” he asked in concern.

Mai turned her head to face them. “Nah. We were just talking about how much we hate Mariah and the best way she could possibly croak. We thought of one so funny that sai laughed so hard that she turned red.” She lied.

Kai shook his head and drank some water. `She's such a bad liar.'

“You shouldn't talk so badly about her. Even though she hates you, try to get along.”

“Sai will only get along with her when tyson flies.”

“Actually, we're working on that.”

Mai elbowed kai in the ribs. “Shut up.”

“Just leave them alone. Let them have a moment.” Kai whispered to her. Mai eyes widen a little in realization. She nodded at turned around.

The four of them sat in silence for a while enjoying the warm day at the park.
