I realized that I hadn't really explained Reijin's history and why she left so I figured this would be a good place to put it. Props to SweetYuya for pointing that out.

I don't see what the big deal is.” I said coolly as I was escorted through the 1st Division. “It's not like I started that brawl.”
“Save it for Captain-General.” snapped back the guard to my right before having a hurried discussion with the guards watching over the Captain's assembly.
“Sorry. I can't let you in.” said the guard. “The Captain-General would kill me if I did.”
“It's her.” said my guard as he jerked his thumb at me.
“Oh.” said the other guard. “Go on in.”
“Thanks.” said my guard as the door swung open and he pushed me inside.
“Watch it, jackass!” I snarled as I stumbled forward.
“What is the meaning of this?” asked Yamamoto from his chair, all the present Captains staring at me as well as what I guessed was the new Captain of the 12th Division.
“Hirameki Reijin was caught starting a brawl in the 5th Division bar yet again. This time she broke a bottle over an attacker's head.” stated my guard as he threw a glare at me.
“I wouldn't be here if I was one of your little petite broads with a claim for rape.” I added in an undertone and I could see Captain Kyoraku duck his head to hide his smile.
“This is the third time you have started a brawl in the Seireitei, Hirameki Reijin.” boomed Yamamoto as my guard bowed himself out. “What excuse have you prepared this time?”
“Well, first off, I didn't start that second brawl. It was that whore from the 8th Division, no offense Captain Kyoraku.” I said as I nodded my head at Captain Kyoraku.
“None taken.” said Captain Kyoraku as he recovered himself and looked up.
“Yes, you made that known the last time you were brought here.” boomed Yamamoto and I could sense his anger. “However, this time Captain Shinji will not be able to cover for you.”
“I didn't ask him to last time.” I said and I could see Captain Shinji shaking his head out of the corner of my eye.
“If I could?” asked the new 12th Division Captain as he stepped up beside me and I couldn't help but glare at him.
“Yes, Captain Urahara.” boomed Yamamoto.
“Exactly how much trouble is Reijin-san in?” he asked and I could help but snap at him.
“Why the hell do you think that you can call me by my first name?” I asked angrily but was stopped by Captain Yoruichi.
“How dare you address a Captain in such a manner!?” asked Captain Yoruichi as she took a step forward.
“I'll talk to him however the hell I want to.” I shot back and prepared myself as she snarled.
“Hirameki, may I remind you that this pattern of disobedience and disrespect is why you are here in the first place.” boomed Yamamoto and Captain Yoruichi recovered herself and stepped back. “Please continue, Captain.”
“If I may, Captain Shinji, I would like to make Reijin-san my Lieutenant.” said Urahara and I could feel my anger rise again.
“Take her.” said Captain Shinji as he crossed his arms. “She's your problem now.”
“What the hell!?” asked Hiyori as she pointed at me. “I'm the Lieutenant of the 12th Division! How come she automatically gets my position because she started another fist fight!?”
“I never said I would accept, you little snot-nosed punk!” I shot back before glaring at Urahara. “I don't do seated positions. Too much of a hassle.”
“A challenge, then.” said Urahara cheerfully as he held out his hand. “One thumb war. If you win you can leave, but if I win you become my Lieutenant.”
Searching his face for any sign of a trap, I slowly held out my hand before grabbing his. It was too good to be true, but if I won I could leave. Who wouldn't take that!?
“You're on.” I said and we both looked down.
“One, two, three, four.” he sang as he wriggled his thumb back and forth, but I just kept mine still. I just wanted to win and be done with this whole thing. “I declare a thumb war!” Before I could blink, he had my thumb pinned and no matter what I did I couldn't move it. “One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight!” counted Urahara extremely fast before releasing my hand. “I win.”
Mother fucker…” I whispered as I glared at my hand that was still held out. I kept quiet for a few seconds before saying, “Fine. I always keep my word. I'll become your stupid Lieutenant.
“Yes!” said Urahara excitedly before patting me on the shoulder. “Welcome to the 12th Division!
Resisting the urge to punch him, I turned to face the seething Hiyori.
“You bitch! What makes the two of you think you can just waltz into the 12th Division!?” shrieked Hiyori, shaking with rage.
“3rd Seat Hiyori, that is enough.” boomed Yamamoto and Hiyori stopped, probably more from the shock at hearing from Yamamoto himself she had been demoted to 3rd Seat. “Hand over your Lieutenant's badge to Lieutenant Hirameki.”
Her face a bright red, she ripped off her Lieutenant badge before throwing it at me and storming out of the room. I looked down at it before hooking the sash with my foot and picking it up off the ground, the carved wood smooth to my hand. After looking at it for a few minutes I tied it around my upper left arm, securing the knot with my teeth.
“Come on!” said my new Captain as he grabbed my wrist and started dragging me out the door. “Let's go meet the rest of the division!”
---
“I see you're a Lieutenant now, Reijin-san.”
I slowly turned around to see Aizen cheerfully smiling at me, his arms loaded with paperwork. Resisting the urge to say something really nasty, I said sarcastically, “Yeah. Just what I always wanted to be.”
“Don't worry. It's not as bad as it seems.” said Aizen as he shifted his grip on the paperwork. “I'm sure Hiyori would be willing to help you.”
I couldn't help but laugh at that comment, though Aizen ruined the moment by giving me a confused look.
“She hates me.” I said, more than a little miffed. “She hasn't spoken two words to me since the meeting.”
“Give her some time. She's probably just a little sore about…” started Aizen before he was interrupted.
“Hey, Reijin!” shouted Kaien as he walked up, his hands in his pocket and his shiny new Lieutenant's badge on his arm. “Have you seen Captain Ukitake around?”
“No. Did you check the 8th Division?” I asked as he stopped next to me.
“Yeah. Nobody's seen him over there either.” he said, sounding a little pissed. “If you do happen to see him, tell him I'm lookin' for him.”
“Sure.” I said. “How you holding up?”
“Fine.” sighed Kaien as his shoulders drooped. “Though I didn't think it'd be this much work when I signed on.”
“At least you had a choice.” I said.
“You shouldn't have lost then!” said Kaien as he tousled my hair, something he knew I hated.
“Go find Ukitake.” I said as I brushed his arm away.
“See ya later!” shouted Kaien over his shoulder as he started walking away.
“Yeah!” I shouted back, shifting my gaze to see Aizen staring at me. “Take a picture. It'll last longer, Pretty Boy.”
“I'm sorry.” said Aizen as he scratched the back of his head with his free hand. “It's just that your hair…”
“That stupid prick.” I mumbled as I tried to fix my hair, though I had no idea how it looked. “How's it look?”
“Fine.” said Aizen. “I didn't know you and Lieutenant Kaien were such good friends.”
“Yeah, we went through the Academy together or at least during the time he was there.” I said, the hairs on the back of my neck beginning to rise for some reason. “Though I thought he'd be a Lieutenant long before now. Hey, don't you have paperwork to deliver?
“I completely forgot.” said Aizen cheerfully as he shifted the pile of papers again. “Well, goodbye.”
“Goodbye.” I said as he slowly walked off as to not drop what he was carrying, unsure why I was glad he was leaving.
---
“What are you doing here?” asked Soifon as I stalked up to Yoruichi's office, a note from Captain clutched in my hand.
“I have a note from Captain Urahara.” I said as I held up the somewhat crumpled piece of paper.
“I will make sure to deliver it to Yoruichi-sama.” said Soifon importantly as she held out her hand, expecting her word would be enough to make me obey.
“He told me to hand it to her personally.” I quickly lied just to piss the younger Lieutenant off.
“Well, Yoruichi-sama is not here right now.” said Soifon a little too quickly, her shoddy acting giving away her lie immediately.
“Sure she isn't.” I said as I called her bluff and went to walk past her.
“I said Yoruichi-sama is not here right now!” said Soifon angrily as she grabbed my arm to stop me.
“Don't touch me, bitch.” I said as I jerked my arm out of her grasp.
“How dare you.” hissed Soifon as her hand flew to her zanpakuto, mine flying to Honorable Ruler.
“What is going on out here!?” asked Yoruichi as she slammed the doors open, both mine and Soifon's zanpakutos halfway out of their sheaths.
We both straightened and resheathed our zanpakutos, glaring daggers at each other before looking over at Yoruichi.
“Nothing.” I said casually as I held out the crumpled note to Yoruichi. “This is for you from Captain.”
“For me!?” asked Yoruichi excitedly as she took it and almost ripped it in half in her eagerness to open it.
She took a minute to read it before crumpling it back up and tossing it to Soifon.
“Toss that for me, will you?” asked Yoruichi before beckoning me. “Come with me.”
I followed her into the 2nd Division headquarters, Soifon looking like she could spit fire. Ignoring her, Yoruichi led me to her office, throwing the doors open as she walked through them.
“Do you know what Kisuke wrote to me?” asked Yoruichi as she went over to her closet and started rummaging through her uniforms.
“No.” I said as Yoruichi pulled one out and tossed it to me.
“Try that on.” said Yoruichi as Soifon walked up and realized what was going on.
“What is she doing holding one of your uniforms, Yoruichi-sama?” asked Soifon angrily as she pointed a finger at me.
“Kisuke asked me to outfit her with one of mine since she doesn't like the regular uniforms.” said Yoruichi and my gaze whipped up to meet hers.
You mean I get to wear one of your uniforms?” I asked and a smile flashed across Yoruichi's face.
“If you like it.” said Yoruichi. “You can change in the next room.”
I could hear Soifon's hiss of anger as I stepped into the next room, quickly switching my old uniform out for one of Yoruichi's. Moving around to test the freedom of the uniform, I stepped back into the main room and nearly let out a laugh at the sight of Soifon's face. Yoruichi swung down off her desk and walked around me to see how it fit.
“How do you like it?” asked Yoruichi as she adjusted the collar.
“I don't really like the sleeves.” I said as I picked at the fabric. “But other than that I love it.”
“Well, if you don't like the sleeves then take them off.” said Yoruichi.
Soifon finally lost her cool as I took off my bracers and pulled off the sleeves, handing them back to Yoruichi who tossed them on top of the wardrobe.
“Yoruichi-sama, I do not see why you are letting a Lieutenant from another Division wear your uniform! Only the Commander of the Special Forces is allowed to wear that uniform!” shouted Soifon angrily as she glared at me.
“It's not really the same uniform anymore.” said Yoruichi as she looked at me and tilted her head. “Besides, I think she looks good in it.”
Soifon bit her lip as I thanked Yoruichi again for the gift, but she waved it away.
“You're Kisuke's Lieutenant. I'd do anything for him.” said Yoruichi as she looked out the window. “You should get back and show it to him.”
---
Have these filled out by this afternoon.” said Mayuri with a superior tone in his voice as he dumped a pile of paperwork on my desk. “Then, make copies for the rest of the Institution and hand them out to all the members.
“Since when did I get demoted to your personal secretary?” I asked, laying special emphasis on the word. “And don't you remember I have a special inbox for all the paperwork you give to me?”
I reached down and grabbed my trash bin before setting it on my desk, pointing out the little sign I had taped to it that said `Mayuri's Inbox'. A smile crossed my face as I watched Mayuri's superior look turn into a glare as I dumped his paperwork into my trash can before turning to him and asking, “Anything else you'd like me to fill out for you?”
“Insolent bitch.” snapped Mayuri before grabbing my trash can and turning to leave.
“I want that back when you're done!” I shouted after him as I picked my pen back up. “And don't do anything to it, either!”
---
“Reijin-chan!” sang Captain as he came walking into my office, a small box tucked under his arm.
“What?” I sang back as I looked up from the paperwork I had been stamping his signature onto.
“I need you to deliver something for me.” said Captain as he looked down at the stamp of his signature. “When did you have this made?”
“When I learned I was going to be the one filling out all the paperwork for this Division.” I said as Captain stamped his signature on a scrap piece of paper.
“Cool idea.” said Captain as he kept stamping.
“What do you need me to deliver?” I asked as I took the stamp from him and put it in my desk along with the ink pad.
“Oh right!” said Captain as he handed me the box. “I need this delivered to Captain Kenpachi.”
“What is it?” I asked as I started to open the box but he stopped me.
“Captain Kenpachi asked me to make that.” said Captain mysteriously, only making me want to open it more. “So it's up to him if he wants you to see it.”
“Is it some weird sex toy?” I asked, knowing Zaraki's reputation.
“No!” said Captain, sounding offended as he pulled the box back. “It's the product of much research and I shall be very angry if it gets lost or damaged.”
“Okay, I'll make sure to take real good care of it.” I said as I pulled it out of his hands as he started to caress it. “I'll be back.”
“Thank you!” sang Captain, his hand straying down to where I had hidden the stamp.
“Just don't use all of my ink!” I shouted as I heard my desk drawer slid open, shutting the door behind me.
Shaking my head as I heard Captain giggle in delight as he stamped his name all over the place, I tucked the box under my arm and made my way to the 11th Division. It didn't take me very long to reach the 11th Division and I almost immediately regretted agreeing to deliver the package. Ignoring the cat-calls and all the leers that were being sent my way due to the exposure that my new uniform provided, I continued on my way. Deciding to check the 11th Division headquarters, I found it to be empty except for Yumichika.
“Hey, do you know where Zaraki is?” I asked and Yumichika jumped out of his chair, leaving a huge black mark across his work.
“Oh, it's only you.” said Yumichika as he sat back down.
“What exactly are you doing?” I asked as he picked his pen back up and continued with what he was doing.
“The Captain doesn't like it when I forgo fun to complete the paperwork, but if I don't do it it doesn't get done.” explained Yumichika before looking back up with me. “What did you want to know again?”
“Where Zaraki is.” I repeated.
“He should be at the training dojo right now.” said Yumichika as he looked out the window. “I think I heard him say something about a tournament.”
“Thanks.” I said as I left him to complete his mountain of paperwork.
When I reached the dojo I could hear shouting and cheering as well as the unmistakable sound of two people fighting with wooden swords. Opening one of the doors, I slipped inside to see Zaraki fighting one of his seated officer, Yachiru and Ikkaku watching from the sidelines.
“Go Ken-chan!” shouted Yachiru happily as she waved her arms.
It didn't take very long for Zaraki to beat his opponent, and I took it as my cue when a rather gifted woman flounced up to Zaraki and pressed herself into him. Resisting the urge to hurl as she rubbed herself against him as if claiming him as her own, I walked up behind Zaraki and tapped him on the shoulder.
“What?” he asked angrily as he turned around, his arm around his most recent girlfriend.
“Who is this, Captain Kenpachi?” asked the girlfriend as she pressed herself into him even more, glaring daggers at me for daring to even approach Zaraki.
“The Lieutenant of the 12th Division.” I said blandly as I held out the package, not really interested that she thought I was here to steal Zaraki. “Captain told me to give this to you.”
“What is it, Captain Kenpachi?” asked the girlfriend as Zaraki took the box and ripped it open.
“Yeah, what is it Ken-chan?” asked Yachiru as she climbed up to her customary place on his shoulder. “Hi, Reirei-chan!”
Gritting my teeth at Yachiru's usage of that stupid nickname, I watched as Zaraki pulled something small out of the box before tossing the box aside. “Finally! Took him long enough.”
I couldn't help but stand there in disbelief as Zaraki put on an eye patch. Clearing my throat, I asked, “You asked Captain to make you an eye patch?”
“What? Didn't you look on your way over here?” asked Zaraki as he pulled it back off and held it out to me.
“What the hell is that!?” I asked as I jumped back, the eye patch wriggling in Zaraki's hand as the creatures in it devoured his reiatsu.
“An eye patch I asked Urahara to make.” said Zaraki as he put it back on, shooting me one of his toothy grins. “It eats my reiatsu.”
Before I could stop myself I asked, “Why the hell would you do that?”
“To lengthen the fight!” said Zaraki with relish, looking a little deranged with his matted hair and new eye patch.
“What's with the eye patch?” asked Ikkaku as he walked up. “Oh, hey Reijin-san. What are you doing here?”
“Trying not to puke.” I said quietly as I scratched the side of my face. “I'll be sure to tell Captain that you like it.”
I quickly took my leave as everyone crowded around Zaraki to see his new eye patch. Leaning against the building outside, I managed to quell my nausea before making my way back to my own mountain of paperwork.
---
Opening my eyes, I found myself staring at the ceiling of the 4th Division. I wasn't awake very long when Captain Unohana walked in, a clipboard in her hand.
“I see you have returned.” said Captain Unohana crisply as she looked over my information. “What is it this time? I hope that you haven't resumed training with the Tenshintai.
No. My kido blew up in my face again.” I said as I looked up at the ceiling.
“Again is the appropriate term.” said Unohana as she grabbed my wrist to check my pulse. “If you keep this up this is going to become your permanent bed.”
“I thought it was already reserved.” I said as Unohana dropped my wrist. “Besides, I keep you on your toes. Who else comes in here at least once a month with an injury serious enough to warrant direct care under you?”
“I find your sense of humor inappropriate.” said Captain Unohana as she scribbled something down on her clipboard, but failed to hide the little smile that crossed her face. “I will be back shortly with your medicine.”
She swept out of the room to be immediately replaced by a huge bouquet of flowers.
“Reijin-chan!” shouted Captain as he pushed his gigantic present through the door. “How are you feeling?”
“Pumped full of pain medication.” I said as I looked at the IV in my hand, Captain setting the flowers down on a nearby table. “I almost had it though. I almost got him to materialize.”
“Give it some time.” said Captain as he turned to me, that goofy smile on his face. “You just learned bankai. That's an achievement in itself.”
