Crossover With Non-anime Series Fan Fiction ❯ Terdwilicker's Anime Reviews ❯ So I'm A Spider, So What? ( Chapter 63 )
Spider is award winning voice acting for Yuuki Aoi (voice of Tanya, Madoka, Maomao, and many others). She really carries the show. Spider is also two stories, taking place 15 years apart in the same setting, a hellworld that is dying off for "reasons". The story people like is the Japanese girl who gets isekaied into a baby spider in a dungeon. She fights to survive and anytime she starts to think she's gotten a hang of it she gets stomped by something new and nasty, nearly dying each time. This is hard mode, no extra lives, so her panic and joy in the ups and downs of her playstyle with the ongoing video game mechanic she can see every time she levels up is very amusing. The downside is the OTHER plot, involving bratty high school kids with issues and superpowers which predictably makes them psychpaths, something we have seen TOO MANY TIMES. I recommend just skipping those. They actually re-released the manga to show ONLY the spider out of popular demand. I suspect the author was probably annoyed by that, but write generic characters and get a bored audience objecting and demanding better material. The spider is fun. Highly recommend watching this one with the original Japanese voice acting because Yuuki Aoi's best actress award is well-earned. And yes, she really CAN talk that fast. She has videos of herself doing that on YouTube. She's been acting since age 4 and she's 32 now, even though she's a lolli in size (4 feet 10 inches tall), so this isn't genius so much as work experience and willingness to be good at her job.
