Digimon Fairy Tale Theater (You don't have to know a thing about
Digimon to enjoy reading)

By Time Lady

Disclaimer: I do not own Digimon, nor the original versions of the
fairy tales.

[The scene, an auditorium. The stage is set up to resemble a library.
Full bookshelves line the walls. On closer inspection, the books are
all different variations of fairy tales. At the front of the room is a
wooden table with a few books set out and a pitcher full of water.
Behind the table is a comfortable chair. A group of people sit in the
audience. The door opens and in walks Time Lady, who sits down behind
the table.]

Time Lady: Hi everyone.

People: Hi Time Lady!

Time Lady: You all may be asking why I've arranged this little
gathering.

People: [chorus] Why did you arrange this little gathering?

Time Lady: [glares at the crowd] I've decided that it's high time I
get organized.

Girl in the back: Yeah, right.

Time Lady: No interruptions, please. Anyhow, I have to start
somewhere, so I've decided to start with my fanfiction. I've decided
to compile all of my fairy tales into one series, which will
henceforth be known as Digimon Fairy Tale Theater.

[Fanfare sounds. A sign is lowered from above, with "Digimon Fairy
Tale Theater" written in sparkling rainbow letters. A picture of
Piximon seems be drawing the letters with a magic wand.]

Audience: Ooooooooo. Aaaaaaaahhhhh.

Time Lady: The reason for the change is simple. People tend to look
for some stories in groupings. Like my Angels series, or my ATOPVs.
Now all of my fairy tales will be conveniently tied together under the
name Digimon Fairy Tale Theater. Now, are there any questions?

Guy in the front row: Is wrestling rigged?

Time Lady: [glares at guy] Are there any questions related to Digimon
Fairy Tale Theater?

Digimon in the middle row: [raises paw] What stories are going to be
in the Digimon Fairy Tale Theater?

Time Lady: I'm glad you asked. [she stands and walks off stage,
returning with an overhead projector. A screen lowers from above.]
Currently, here at Mediaminer, I've only posted two: "A Digi-Tale,"
which is an original fairy tale with elements of the typical
Cinderella story, and "Armadimon in Boots," based on the classic "Puss
in Boots." [she turns on the overhead] The following will be coming to
Mediaminer soon:

[She reads the list that shows on the overhead]

1. "Princess Porcupine Hair," based on "King Thrushbeard"
2. "The White Gatomon," based on "The White Cat"
3. "The Story of Pretty Goldilocks," based on the story of the same
name.

Still in the writing stage:

1. "Once Upon a Time," an original Digimon Fairy Tale
2. "Comb and Collar," based on the story of the same name

Girl to the left: Why do you write so many fairy tales?

Time Lady: I love fairy tales. They're a great source of inspiration.
Often I read one, then find myself wondering "how would such-and-such
character react if they were in this situation?" Next thing I know,
I've cast and scripted all the roles.

Digimon to the right: Do you have to know the Digimon series to know
what the story is?

Time Lady: You don't have to know a single thing about Digimon to
enjoy any of these series. Any further questions? [There is a general
murmur, but no one raises their hands] All right then. Go out there
and read some stories. Do me a favor. Please review the stories. I'd
like to know what you think. And that concludes today's meeting.

[There is a massive stampede out of the auditorium.]

Time Lady: [sigh]
