It was cheap, it had five bed rooms and the only ones actually making any kind of money on a regular basis was Mimi and Jyou. So they took it.
When they walked in, they realised that the only way it was five bedrooms was if you counted the walking closet and the old bathroom, where the toilet had been torn out at the base, the tub had been filled with cotton and carpeted over, and there's no sign of there EVER being a sink.
