Chapter 3: Protecting The Ones You Love
They find themselves looking at Peidmon attacking WarGreymon. They sit on the rocks trying to figure out what was significant.
“I remember this. You made Izzy stay with me.”
“Yeah.”
“Tai!”
“What?”
“Why didn't you want Izzy to help you?”
“Because I didn't want you to get hurt.”
That's when Peidmon looks at them and says, “It's been a while since I've seen you two.”
Tai and Kari jump up.
“H..He can see us?” says Kari in shock.
Peidmon attacks the rocks below Kari so she would fall. But Tai pushes her out of the way and he falls instead. Peidmon begins attacking Tai.
“AAHH!” yells Tai.
“No.” whispers Kari.
Peidmon begins using his strength and crushed Tai in the rocks.
“AAAAHHHH!” cries out Tai.
Peidmon stabs Tai with his swords causing Tai to gasp in pain.
“No!” shrieks Kari.
That's when there was a flash of light. Kari opens her eyes and finds herself in present time, in the digiworld. Gennai is there bending over Tai.
“Gennai.”
“Are you alright, Kari?”
“I'm fine. He pushed me out the way.”
“I don't know if I can heal him.”
“You have to.”
“I'm sorry.”
Kari hugs her brother and they glow white. When the light ends Tai starts to wake up.
“What happened?” asks Tai.
“Tai!” yells Kari happily and hugs him.
“Does this mean you forgive me?” asks Tai.
“Yep.” Says Kari.
Kari and Gennai help Tai stand, but just as he does he falls to his knees and begins to gasp for air.
“Tai, what's wrong?” asks Kari.
“I don't know.” Tai manages.
Tai passes out.
“Tai! Tai, wake up!” yells Kari.
~There was darkness all around him.
“What just happened?”
“Ha!Ha!Ha!”
“Devimon!”
“You think you can defeat me? You're over your head.”
Devimon grabs Tai and begins to squeeze him. Tai tries to get free.
“Why don't you give up?”
“I'm not giving up. I'm not letting Kari down.”
“Even if you lie to her?”
“Yeah, me and Kari have a bond. A bond you can't destroy.”
Tai glows orange and all the darkness disappears.
“I'll be back.”
“I'll be ready.”~
Tai wakes up to hear his sister yelling at him.
“Tai! Wake up!” yells Kari.
“I'm awake. Happy?” says Tai.
“Yes.” Says Kari as she slaps him.
“Ow.” Says Tai. “What was that for?”
“For scaring me like that.” Replies Kari.
Tai tells Kari and Gennai about his real felt dream.
“Interesting.” Says Gennai.
“What?” asks Tai.
“It wasn't a dream.” Says Gennai.
“Huh?” asks Kari.
“I think Peidmon attacks made your dream become real some how.” Explains Gennai.
“Oh.” Says Tai.
“I think that's enough time travel for today. You two can stay here and rest for the night.” Says Gennai as he disappears.
