Ginga GIRI GIRI! The Universe is in Danger!
By SSJ Heero
________________________________________________________________________ ____________________

Dull clangs softly moved through the sewers. They softly and swiftly faded away, and no one
heard them. Except for one boy moving through the pipe where the sound came from. SSJ
arrived at the end of the pipe, where a sickening odor filled his nose. He quickly covered
his nose, but the sheer overwhelming smell could not be contained. He could not help
falling to his knees and vomiting over the end of the pipe.

He coughed and opened his eyes, looking down through the end of the pipe at a platform far
below. He was surprised to see four figures, and six giant... ...alligators? He was high up
from the pool and the platform where the six monsters stood, but he quickly recognized the
figures. He exclaimed in thought, "Everyone!"

He continued viewing and saw TM and DDT run towards the alligators. A sound similar to
metal scraping metal filled the room as TM's sword sliced past the scales of an alligator.
DDT gave another one a swift punch to the face, sending it doubling back a whopping inch.
The two alligators simply turned in a circle to knock them back with their tails. "Damn!"
SSJ yelled.

The alligators then roared with their fearsome teeth ready to sink into the flesh of TM and
DDT.

---- Chapter 20: To Be the Strongest ----

Down at the platform, the sound of SSJ's yell echoed through the room, and Cindy faintly
heard it over the sound of falling sewer water. "Huh?!" Cindy uttered as she looked around
the room, trying to find the source of the sound.

Amiko turned to Cindy and saw her look around the room. "What is it, Cindy?" she asked.

Cindy replied, "I thought I heard SSJ-"

Cindy was suddenly brought back to the task at hand when she was interrupted by TM's sword
scratching along the platform. TM was scraped on the concrete as he rolled back, and DDT
crashed into a rail during that. TM, in a burning pain, managed to stand, rubbing his right
arm in pain. He coughed in pain and cursed the alligators.

TM turned to see DDT, barely up with shaking legs. DDT tried to stand up taller, but the
immense pain caught up with him. He fell on one knee and panted. TM panted as well,
thinking of their options. "Shit!" he thought.

TM turned to the alligators, which were already in mid air, ready to clamp their jaws on
him and DDT. With instinct, he held his sword before him in defense. Still, the alligator
clamped on his hand, and TM was ready to accept the pain with closed eyes.

But the pain never came. TM opened his eyes and looked ahead of him. The alligator had
bitten on the sword, with the blade going through between its eyes, and to the brain. Its
razor sharp teeth were inches away from ripping TM's arms off. TM muttered in disbelief,
"Heheh... Looks like luck was on my side."

TM then looked at DDT, who was suspended in midair by a tail. TM, tugged on his blade,
causing it to rip through his gator's head. Without thinking, he ripped off a scale from
the dead beast, and threw it at the base of the other one's tail. It cut straight through
the tail; DDT fell to the platform along with the tail. The gator doubled back in pain, and
the others dropped to the ground, ready to jump. TM raised his sword above his head and
glowed red. He prepared to declare his attack, "ZERO-"

'Oh, no!' Amiko suddenly thought. She realized it! "STOP!" she yelled.

TM suddenly twitched and lost his red tint. He turned and glared angrily at Amiko. "WHAT'S
THAT FOR?!" he screamed.

"Don't you get it?!" Amiko yelled back. "We're in a sewer! Electricity is in the walls!"

TM's eyes suddenly widened at the realization. "Oh crap... That's right..."

Then, the four alligators leapt into the air, aiming at TM and DDT. TM sheathed his sword
and jumped at one of the monsters. And then drew his sword as he flew right past the beast.
A slash appeared on his left arm from the claws, but he managed to land on its feet. The
monster, too, landed on its feet, and fixed its eyes upon Amiko and Cindy. Cindy stepped
back, along with Amiko. "Damn!" said Cindy as the alligator stepped forward.

The alligator charged at the two. Its powerful legs pounded into the ground. As it neared
the two, it suddenly roared in pain. A large cut appeared through its stomach and scales,
blood gushing from the giant wound.

It finally split in half, and the halves fell to the ground with a sickening splat. Blood
gushed from each half, and formed a pool. Its entrails splattered all over the concrete,
disgusting Amiko and Cindy. They turned to TM, who proudly looked over his work. "Heh...
Midair Crimson Blade. I'm getting cooler by the second."

Suddenly, the screams of another one filled the air. TM and the others looked, and saw DDT
struggling to keep a gator's mouth open. The gator's jaws were powerful, but DDT managed to
keep it open for him to launch flames through the alligator.

It literally combusted as DDT jumped back, and soon, it turned into a black body of thick
ash as it hit the ground. TM muttered at the spectacle, "Amazing..."

DDT then views another gator, this one bouncing off the walls and up high, ready to strike
down and destroy the platform. TM looked elsewhere, and another gator jumped lower, ready
to cleave through DDT. "SHIT!" he swore, for DDT was too slow in noticing it.

TM jumped towards the gator, and aimed the point of his blade at the monstrosity. DDT
turned and saw the gator, and ducked low to the platform. He ducked just in time for the
gator to merely cut off some hair.

TM flew towards the gator, and as he neared, he had no time to think as he dodged the
gator's tail. He thrusted his weapon forward. The sword dug deep into the mutant, and it
writhed in pain as TM saw where he hit.

He had gouged through the monster's eye and out the other, with clear liquid, mixed with
blood, dripped from his blade. TM kicked the beast into the water below, where it floated
to the top as a corpse. TM grinned as he ran his hand through his hair. "I do rock," he
said with pride.

DDT pulled him back to reality, "But we won't for long after that one hits the platform."

TM looked up and saw the gator as it jumped past a pipe far above and became level near
the ceiling. TM suddenly noticed a figure moving in the pipe behind the gator.

Then a gunshot was heard, and the gator lost its grip on the wall. It tumbled towards the
platform, which gave DDT the opportunity to give it an attack. His right fist began to
glow a tint of orange, and he jumped towards the gator. He raised his fist, prepared to
punch through the gator. The falling gator saw, and aimed its teeth at DDT. 'One final
attack, huh?' thought DDT. DDT just grinned, "Heh. Fool."

Quickly, the gator neared DDT. DDT's fist glow a greater orange, then his hand became
shrouded in a blue flame. The monster neared, and literally, he punched through the beast.

Or he would've, if it didn't vaporize before hand, but hey, let's not get into the details.
That left only one gator left, and DDT, still in midair, took the time to fire three great
fireballs at the last one. It also combusted, and fell towards the pool without trouble.

DDT landed on his feet, still in pain, and TM looked up at that pipe. The figure was gone.

TM began, "Was that..."

"...SSJ?" Amiko finished.

TM and Amiko looked at each other, then at Cindy. "Well, quite obviously, it was,"
assuredly said Cindy.

Amiko looked at Cindy with some doubt. "How do you know?"

"The specific crack of the gunshot was that of a .45 caliber revolver, the same kind I use,
and the kind SSJ 'borrowed' from me."

TM and Amiko just stared at Cindy. Finally, TM managed to say, "You can tell specific
gunshots?"

"Hey, I didn't obsess over Trigun for nothing!" No one could think of anything to say to
that.

There was a silence. Finally, the four looked to the last remaining bridge. "Well, we have
no choice," muttered Amiko.

With their choice made for them, they went on. The four walked (or limp) past the bridge
and through the tunnel.

Meanwhile, the warehouse proved to be a rather complex place. The Akuno were at the very
least prepared for their takeover. For hidden within the crates were ladders into the
underground, where the true base was. Through the hallways and past the corners, there was
a room.

Dark sat in a chair, watching a TV. The room dark room was only lit with a blue light from
a television; a middle-aged reporter babbled on about the terrorists. The room was bare,
except for the beat up chair and the small TV that sat on the floor. The door that sat to
the left of the television suddenly opened, and Tsubasa stepped in, face flushed with fear.
Dark was surprised at the expression.

Tsubasa tried to speak. He only managed to speak in pieces, "Yami... Coming... Tsumuji...
Tsumuji is coming, Yami!"

Dark rolled his eyes to see Tsubasa. His shirt was ruffled, and his hair stood on its ends.
Dark closed his eyes and spoke, "And? Is that a problem?" Clearly, he never did hear about
Kino Tsumuji.

Tsubasa couldn't believe that. He yelled, "OF COURSE IT'S A PROBLEM! HIS CREATIONS ARE
COMING HERE!"

Dark was now intrigued, if not surprised. He turned to Tsubasa. "Creations?"

Tsubasa calmed down just a bit before he continued, "Yami, Tsumuji Kino is the creator of
experimental 'artificial humans', or androids! His genius allowed him to make them as
deadly as possible... Powerful enough to even kill YOU in ONE SHOT!"

Dark really couldn't believe that. "That powerful?!"

Tsubasa nodded. "And he's coming here. He landed twenty or so miles North of here and was
last spotted going within the shelters."

"...The shelters..." Dark thought of a reason for that move.

"I don't know why he'd do that, but he's coming."

Dark just stood and turned off the TV. He faced Tsubasa and said, "Well, I guess that means
I should get to work."

"Damn straight, Yami! We're preparing for him." Tsubasa turned and ran out of the room,
leaving Dark alone.

Dark smirked. "Well, Light," he began, "I'll be meeting you soon." Dark stepped to the door
and into the hall. He made his way to the ammunition storeroom.

Meanwhile in the sewers, SSJ wandered down the winding tunnels. He figured it has been
about an hour since he saw his friends fighting those alligators, and he didn't know where
he was. He just followed a tunnel and suddenly came into a large labyrinth of crossroads
and ladders. There was no longer water running through the tunnels, a clue to any building.
His eyes narrowed in frustration. "Damn," he sighed. "This'll be tough to find them."

SSJ stepped through the tunnels. With the paths all around and many places to go, he soon
realized that he was as lost as a kid in Disneyland. He looked around, and then he saw the
ladders leading up. He clambered up one and shoved through the manhole cover above. He saw
that all around were the streets. He saw the warehouse surrounded by police a distance to
his left. He knew where to go.

He climbed down and shut the cover. He turned in the direction of the warehouse. "So, in
that direction," he muttered. He dashed down the path, the echo of his footsteps speeding
through the tunnels.

Something heard it. As SSJ passed more ladders, a dark figure moved through the tunnels,
coming to a stop before SSJ. SSJ suddenly came to a stop.

It was an alligator. Its mutated muscles bulges as it slammed its foot. SSJ swore. But then
he saw an even worse obstacle: behind the alligator, he saw the weak red lights... Mines?!
SSJ sort of felt glad that the gator was in his way. But, he needed to get to the
warehouse. SSJ crouched down low and prepared to draw his sword. "Get out of my way," SSJ
commanded.

The gator replied by slamming its tail on the ground. SSJ slammed his left foot into the
tunnel, launching himself towards the alligator. SSJ drew his sword has he flew forward and
prepared to slice through the foul beast.

***

Elsewhere, Kino Tsumuji climbed through a manhole inside an underground room of the
warehouse. He looked around and saw the surprising appearance. Everything was new and
definitely not rundown, despite what the outside suggested. As he silently entered, he
looked all around to find piles and piles of ammunition.

Grenades, rocket launchers, gatling guns, rifles, and the like lined the walls. It was
enough to outfit an army! But then he realized that the weapons seemed to be untouched.
They weren't the secret to the Akuno's slaughter of the army. He noticed a nearly empty
rack in the corner. He stepped to it and was surprised to find a certain device.

It could easily fit on his wrist, and it is tight enough to not slip. He turned it around
to check how it worked. On the band were lines of bullets, and a small barrel stuck out of
the band. It was a small gun, triggered by a string long enough to be pulled by the other
hand, if strung through the shirt.

So that was it. They were using guns after all. "The strong, huh?" he muttered. "Relying on
such cheap tactics." He dropped the wrist gun to the floor and gave it a good stomp,
crushing it.

Just then, the door opened, and Dark stepped through. He didn't seem to notice Kino, hidden
behind racks of weapons. Kino quickly and silently moved through the room and wheeled
behind Dark. The door slammed shut and Kino drew his blade just enough to threaten Dark.
The blade came several centimeters from Dark's neck. Kino muttered, "Boy... If you resist,
I shall kill you. Now, tell me where Tsubasa is."

Dark merely turned his head and glared at Kino. Kino was taken aback by his strong
resemblance to SSJ. 'What the-' Hardly had the words left Kino's mind before Dark's lance
came tearing from the ground.

It swung up, knocking Kino's nose and making him step back. Dark grabbed his lance, and
elbowed a surprised Kino in the gut. Dark ran out of the ammunition room, and into the
concrete hallway. Kino turned his head to glare at Dark. "What in the fuck is that?!" Kino
yelled, his head stinging.

Dark held his lance firm, and merely ran past a corner. Kino turned to follow, but when he
turned round the corner, Dark was gone. But that was impossible. There was no door at all
in the hall. He looked up, and saw an air vent.

Kino had vast, seething anger, and his eyes were wide open. Veins were visible throughout
his body. He cursed, and commanded at the two towering mechs, who had torn through the
ground of the munitions room, "Let's go. We'll annihilate this forsaken building if we have
to."

But before they left, Kino had the two destroy the ammunition room. They obliged, and room
collapsed. Kino stomped forward, wearing the most hateful glare that could possibly be
seen.

Back in the sewers, the four continued through the sewers, looking through every manhole to
see where they were. Amiko climbed down a ladder and informed the rest, "Well, we're just
in front of the warehouse."

The four looked ahead. TM was clutching his bleeding shoulder, which was poorly wrapped in
bandages. DDT clutched his aching gut. And Amiko and Cindy looked up ahead, and saw that
the tunnel sloped downwards. Stairs headed into the darkness beyond. There was little light
down there, but Amiko and Cindy stepped towards it. TM and DDT limped close behind.

Cindy turned back to TM and DDT. "You sure you two don't want to stay down here?"

TM and DDT rolled their eyes toward each other, then returned their attention to Cindy. "I
don't care about the pain," said TM. "I'm gonna finish what I started."

"Same here," added DDT.

The four walked down the steps, and found a door at the bottom. Amiko shoved open the
door, and found a labyrinth of winding tunnels. She sighed, "So, how do we know which path
leads to the warehouse?"

Cindy climbed the nearest ladder, and shoved open the cover. She barely could, but when
she did, and pushed it to the side, a piece of concrete narrowly missed her head. It
crashed into the floor, and Cindy leapt down. The four looked up, and saw the cover
completely blocked. She sighed, "Ah... Damn it. What crappy luck."

The four stepped further and made several random turns. They walked through the tunnels,
not knowing where to go. Eventually, they stopped at a ladder, and heard footsteps running
across the cover above. They kept silent, but distinctly heard a familiar deep voice from
above, "Come on, weaklings! Block off Kino's path!"

The four looked at each other. "Was that... the terrorist leader?" asked DDT.

Amiko nodded. She recognized the voice from that inane speech. But then she muttered,
"Damn... You were right, TM..."

"Damn straight," proudly said TM.

The pounding footsteps died down, but Tsubasa's voice was still heard above. They heard him
complain, "Damn it... It's too early. It can't end like this... It just can't!"

They heard footsteps. They looked around and heard it to their left. They heard another
familiar voice, "Well, Tsubasa? Shall you fight?"

"SHUT UP, YAMI!"

Amiko's eyes widened, remembering whose voice it was. She whispered, "It's Dark..."

The others looked at Amiko with that. Cindy looked back up to the floors above. "He's up
there?!" she whispered back.

TM scratched his chin. "Why'd Tsubasa call him 'yami'?" he asked.

"It means 'darkness' in Japanese," Amiko explained.

Their conversation stopped when they heard Dark speak again, "Well then, shall I prepare
the main room?"

Tsubasa breathed loudly enough for them to hear. They heard him announce, "Yes. We shall.
We shall meet him there."

The sound of the two stepping away was heard above the four. Amiko climbed up and shoved
off the sewer cover. She looked around and saw an empty hallway. She motioned the rest up
the ladder. Soon, DDT closed the manhole cover, ignoring the throbbing pain in his gut.

"Okay, we're here. Now what?" asked TM. No one knew what else to do but find the main room
they just heard about.

Footsteps were suddenly heard nearby, and the four quickly ran into a room directly across
from the sewer cover. They closed the door and kept silent. They heard Dark's muttering. He
was coming closer. He had turned around? They tried to hear more of his mutters, and made
out, "...Doesn't matter. He's weak. He has only one thing going for him, anyway..."

He was gone again. The door opened, and the four stuck their heads out. Dark stood at the
corner of the tunnel, and stepped on one of the tiles. The corner wall opened ahead of him,
surprising the four. He stepped through, disappearing as the wall closed. The four stepped
out of the room. "So there are secret rooms, as well...?" said Cindy.

Amiko looked around at the building with seemingly endless secrets. "What the hell is this
building...?" she asked.

But before they could ponder, a voice called from behind, "Hey! Who the hell are you four?!"
The four quickly turned around to see a soldier. TM quickly ran over and knocked the man's
head with the sheathe of his blade. DDT punched him in the gut, and Amiko and Cindy kicked
him until he was unconscious. However, others heard, and ran at the four, who in turn ran
as fast as they could in the opposite direction.

***

All the while, SSJ had his hands full with his own giant alligator. His first slash did
absolutely nothing, except the monster just nearly slashed off his head. Its scales were
strong. Its stroke was stronger.

SSJ parried to the side, barely dodging one arm, and blocked the gator's other. The gator
countered by shoving the tip of his tail into SSJ's gut, sending him flying back. SSJ stood
up, clutching his gut in pain. SSJ looked up at the tall gator. He only had one idea.

"Relena!" he yelled. In a flash of red light that blinded the gator for a minute, Relena
came out, pumped for battle. She immediately latched onto SSJ, but he just said, "Now's not
the time! Go, JUDO FLIP!" He pointed at the gator.

Relena let go of SSJ and said, "Okay!" She grabbed the arm of the blind gator and used all
of her strength to toss it forward... Forward... Into the mines.

"RETURN!" SSJ yelled, and Relena was gone. SSJ dashed away just as explosions ripped
through the tunnels, collapsing the roof onto the gator. Smoke filled the area. In the
brief time when part of the smoke had abated, SSJ saw the world above. Hallways... The
warehouse!

But SSJ was caught off guard when the pile of rubble began to shift. He couldn't believe
it. The gator came out of the rubble, pissed as ever. SSJ gritted his teeth as the gator
bellowed. "Damn. Looks like... I'll have to try it..." said SSJ.

SSJ planted his feet firmly and glared at the mutant. His sword was ready, and he called
towards the beast, "Hey! Get ready! For... THE SAOTOME SECRET TECHNIQUE!" He silently
thought, 'Thanks, Shampoo for teaching me this!'

The gator was taken aback by the prideful call. It saw SSJ, in a challenging stance. It
got into its own stance, and watched SSJ crouch down. SSJ said, "Ready..."

The gator was more than prepared, its tail slammed into the tunnel wall, causing a meager
earthquake. SSJ crouched down lower. "Set..."

Time seemed to freeze. SSJ stood in place, ready to charge. The beast also stood firmly,
its tongue cleaning off its teeth. "Well, nice knowing you..." With that, he charged...in
the opposite direction. He was fleet to foot, and quickly took random turns throughout the
tunnel. The gator simply and stupidly charged after him.

***

Kino ran through the halls of the warehouse. The metal halls shook as he stomped through,
drawing his long tachi and slashing through the defenses. He moved quickly, and always
managed to disarm them of their concealed weapons. Even more threatening, were the two
androids, which were crushing those who attacked Kino from behind. Several more samurai
came at Kino, who simply spun in a full circle, slashing them all at once. Soon, the
enemies gave up and ran away. Kino liked that. "Some of them are smart," he said with a
grin.

Soon, Kino reached a flight of stairs, which he climbed. At the top, two armed enemies
turned around the corner, and fired volleys of bullets at the new president. Kino jumped
behind the Fourth, who countered with many bullets which shot from its entire body. The two
fell. The robot's body was covered with many openings, from which many barrels protruded.
The barrels returned to inside the android, and the openings closed. Kino continued
forward, protected on both sides by giant hunks of metal.

A lone warrior stepped past the corner of the stairs, and shot rockets at the android. The
android was spurred onward, not stopping at all. The Fourth simply punched at the weakling,
whose skull cracked on impact, and blood flew from the crushed skull.

The Fifth stopped at the top of the stairs, and blocked others from following. The Fourth
stepped aside as Kino looked around the narrow hall, perpendicular to the flight. The only
doors were in front of him, and at both ends of the hallway. All the doors led in the same
direction. Kino pushed the door in front of him, and stepped inside. A voice called as he
entered, "Irasshaimase!"[1]

Kino froze, and the two androids stopped right next to him. They prepared to shoot, but
Kino held out his arm in front of them to stop them. He saw Tsubasa standing clearly in the
middle of a large room. A katana in its sheathe was tucked by his side. Catwalks line the
walls, and high up on the walls. It was the room shown in their official declaration.
Tsubasa smiled. "Welcome, Tsumuji Kino. President of the world."

Kino glared at Tsubasa, and Tsubasa at Kino. "So you must be Tsubasa," said Kino.

"Indeed." Tsubasa took off his jacket and threw it away, leaving him with his long sleeved
shirt, tie, and pants, quite unfitting for a fighter.

Kino threw off his coat, leaving him with his turtleneck short-sleeved shirt. "Then I shall
stop this now," Kino declared. Kino turned to the two androids. "Don't move or attack until
I say so." Their eyes flashed in confirmation.

Tsubasa drew his sword. Kino drew his own. Tsubasa yelled, "I'll fight you here! The strong
live and the weak die!" He flew at Kino.

"Shut up," said Kino as he blocked a slash. "But, I agree with that. I will live. You will
die." With a mighty kick, Tsubasa flew away. "You're pathetic. You disgrace those who use
a sword."

Tsubasa only smiled as he landed upon his feet away from Kino. He stood there and spoke,
"It doesn't matter what you believe. I will win, and my great skill will strike down even
you!"

Tsubasa rushed at Kino, who blocked with the sheathe of his tachi. Tsubasa jumped back,
and Kino dashed forward. He jumped into the air with his tachi, slashing down on empty air.
Tsubasa leapt to his side, and Kino quickly jumped in that direction once he hit the
ground. Kino jabbed forward with his tachi, but Tsubasa knocked it out of the way.

Tsubasa quickly kicked off in the completely opposite direction, directly at Kino. 'Damn,'
thought Kino. 'He *is* skilled...'

Kino received an elbow in the nose and was launched backwards. Tsubasa jumped into the air
and aimed a slash at Kino. Tsubasa yelled, "What was that, Tsumuji? Is that it?! You're
nothing but talk!"

Tsubasa slashes down on Kino, who barely blocked it with the hilt his blade. Kino noticed
Tsubasa's left hand move. Tsubasa pulled a thin wire that ran up his shirt. A gunshot was
heard, and Kino's left shoulder was suddenly bleeding. Kino clutched it in pain, and
Tsubasa leapt back in delight. His right sleeve had smoke coming from it.

Kino gritted his teeth as he got to his feet. He pulled the bullet out and let it fall to
the ground. Kino muttered, "That's all you've got. Tricks. And that's all you can do to
even the ground."

'Even ground?!' thought Tsubasa. He looked at Kino, and another smile form. Kino saw
through it. Tsubasa was scared. But Tsubasa's voice hid any of that when he said, "Oh, not
going to say how unfair this is? Won't you go on a tangent on the warrior's spirit?"

"No. I couldn't care less about that clichéd shit. Kenjutsu is a tool, not a way of life."
Kino stepped forward. "Tell me, what do you want? Why do you want to rule this country?"

Tsubasa relaxed. He knew Kino wasn't going to suddenly attack. "What I want..." Kino stared
at him, waiting for him to finish his sentence. "The aliens told me to do it! I want their
technology, powerful enough to destroy Terra! You can't fight them, not with what we have.
You can only join them!" Kino just stared with disbelief at the guy, his mouth almost at
the floor.

Kino pulled himself together. He muttered, "And here I thought there was at least one guy
worth the effort." He turned to his androids, "Take care of him." Their eyes flashed.
Tsubasa turned white.

Meanwhile yet again, Amiko and company struggled to stay ahead of the enemies. The four
were just barely ahead of a horde of armed men. Amiko ducked and slid under swords of
oncoming enemies, while Cindy jumped and parried their blades. All the while, TM and DDT
held off the samurai behind them. Quickly, DDT aimed a fireball at an overhead girder,
which immediately fell on the samurai behind the four.

"Well, GREAT PLAN, TM!" Amiko mocked as she dodged more weapons.

Cindy was panting with fatigue, but she managed to yell, "YEAH! GREAT WAY TO GET US KILLED!"

"Shut up!" TM spat back. "It's better than sitting around and waiting!"

As they dashed, they saw a corner up ahead. They didn't want to know what lay around it.
DDT quickly casted a firewall to block the path behind them, as well as the path beyond the
corner. The four stopped, having no more pursuers. They waited to catch their breath. TM
leaned on a wall, while Amiko and Cindy sat on the floor. DDT leaned on his knees, and
looked forward. He was stung with surprise. Luck was really funny, sometimes.

"We're here again," he informed the rest. The others looked ahead and saw the wall. A plain
wall. It was a dead end. Except they knew that Dark passed through that same wall. TM
walked ahead, panting, and tried to figure which tile Dark stepped on. None of the ones he
was trying worked.

He accidentally tripped and fell to ground, stopping his fall with his left hand. He
touched a tile. It pressed down, and the corner wall ahead opened. The four stepped inside,
onto a small flight of stairs. And then there was Dark.

Dark stood before a large swirl of energy. Within it, the four saw, there was an orb of
pure energy. It was surrounded by a large aura. Its power was felt by their souls. On the
floor surrounding the orb was a circle in the ground.

Circles lined the edge of the circle; Amiko saw the symbols printed on each of the six
small circles. Light, fire, ice, earth, sky, and darkness were the symbols, writing in
Japanese. Energy swirled around the orb, causing a visible tornado of sorts. Dark stood at
the edge, with his lance tearing through the wall.

Or at least trying to. His lance shot back, rejected by the energy. Cindy sneezed, causing
Dark to quickly turn around and glare at them. They stood at the foot of steps, leading up
to the warehouse. He stepped back from the orb and towards them. "Why are you here?" he
demanded.

The four couldn't speak, but Dark slowly got closer. He tightly gripped his lance, and
charged at the four. Before he reached them, an explosion ripped through the ceiling far
above.

Tsubasa dropped down to the basement, followed by the two androids as Kino stood atop. The
androids smashed into the metal floor, and the four took a step back. Dark held his ground,
while Tsubasa got to his feet. Tsubasa glanced at Dark. "Yami! Kill the president!" he
commanded.

Dark nodded and stepped towards Kino. He dispelled his lance, which split into many
particles of black light and disappeared. He took another step at the two androids, and
held his place. Kino wasted no time. "Kill the boy," he ordered as he leapt down.

The androids obeyed, launching a fury of missiles and bullets at Dark, who jumped in order
to dodge. He held his open palm up, aimed at the ceiling. Particles of black seemed to flow
towards his hand, and arranged themselves in the shape of a large lance.

"Plasma Lance!" Dark yelled.

Dark thrusted it at the shorter android, the Fourth, and it directly hit. The most it
caused was a dent, but that was enough to throw Kino off guard. "H-HE DENTED THE ANDROID?!"
he yelled in disbelief.

But that was not all. Dark did the same, with both hands, and a larger energy lance was
formed, and it was hurled at the Fifth. It completely impaled its left arm, causing the arm
to explode.

Kino was mad. Completely angry. He gritted his teeth, and shouted words that sounded like
"combine". Dark landed on the charred and dented floor, and saw the two android's shell
open. Inside the two, were smaller cores, revealed briefly as the many hunks of metal
rearranged themselves. Wires came from each, and bridged the two cores. The two were
quickly shielded from Dark's energy shot, as the metal shells combined in different
places.

Dark saw as it formed a human shape again. But this time, it was different. It was a bit
taller, but with thicker pieces of metal shelling the small spherical cores. It formed into
a hunched humanoid shape, relying on its two large arms to support itself. Finally, a
sphere appeared between the android's shoulder. It opened, revealing a head with four eyes.

The new android was completely different from the two separate androids, and Kino made his
declaration, "HEAR THIS! THIS IS WHAT THE TWO WERE BUILT FOR! IT'S THE GEMINI PROJECT!"

Tsubasa stood in terror, looking up at the monster. He suddenly realized they had no
chance, "I was right... Not even Yami can defeat him..."

Dark stared in surprise, as he charged another energy blast. However, the android shot a
wire at Dark, which caught his right arm, the bandaged one. Dark gasped as the android
twisted the arm. The wire tightened. The arm was crushed. However, no blood flowed from the
crushed arm, nor did the sound of bone cracking fill the air. Dark merely glared in anger
at the android.

He yelled, "You... You bastard!" Immediately, Dark's lance tore from the ground again, and
he caught it in his hand. He tore through the wire, and aimed the tip of his lance at the
android's head. The lance hit the metal sphere, and slid off without even a scratch.

Dark jumped back, and glanced at Tsubasa. From the corner of his eye, Dark saw Tsubasa run
for the orb of energy. Dark jumped in Tsubasa's path, glaring at him. Tsubasa jumped back
in surprise. "What the Hell?!" he screamed. "YAMI!"

Dark suddenly impaled Tsubasa's left leg, surprising Kino. He knocked Tsubasa back with the
butt of his lance. He warned, "Whatever you do, you are not getting the Atma weapon. You
die if you try."

Tsubasa only could look at Yami in terror, then in hatred. "You... You FUCKING TRAITOR!"

Tsubasa lunged at Dark, who simply thrusted the lance through Tsubasa's gut. Dark kicked
Tsubasa off the lance and into the ground. He stepped forward, leering at Tsubasa. However,
before Dark could finish off Tsubasa, the android fired a volley of ammunition at Dark, who
returned to his battle.

Tsubasa took the time to try and take the orb again. The four stood in his path this time.
He was suddenly surprised by their existence. He never noticed them before. He yelled, "Who
the hell are you four?"

"We're here to stop you!" yelled TM, drawing his sword.

"And we'll stop this suffering and death that you have caused!" she pulled out bishie balls.

Tsubasa stood and drew his sword again. He clutched his bleeding gut in immense pain. He
warned, "Kids, get out of my way, lest I shall kill you..." They didn't move.

Tsubasa stepped on a sewer cover, and he aimed his sword at the closest one- Cindy.

SSJ knew things were getting hectic. He continued to dodge the gator's attacks, and
managed to gouge out one of its eyes. However, that couldn't stop it. He heard the noises
from above. The noise of gunshots, clashing metal, and running footsteps. He heard
collapsing ceilings, and couldn't stop to see what was going on. He had enough.

Quickly, SSJ found the nearest sewer cover, and jumped on the ladder. He jumped again, and
launched himself at the cover.

The four stood in their places. Behind them, Dark struggled with the androids, but Kino
diverted his attention at the four. Tsubasa began to sprint towards Cindy, but before his
foot hit the ground, the sewer cover flipped up, and sending him down into the sewer
tunnels. SSJ flew up from the cover, which spun, and landed on the hole, covering it before
the gator had the sense to follow. SSJ landed as a crunching noise was heard, but the five
did not know what to make of it.

SSJ then noticed the four. "Well... It looks like I'm in the right place," he said with a
smile.

Amiko was suddenly taken aback by his appearance. "Hey! SSJ!"

SSJ grinned. "Yeah. I'm here. Looks like you four are okay."

DDT was seen with a swollen cheek, and TM's arm was bleeding harder than ever. They
exchanged glances, wondering what he was talking about. DDT just said, "Well, as okay as we
can be."

"Yeah..." said SSJ as he looked down at the sewer cover. A thought then came to his mind.
"So, who was that guy?" Everyone sweatdropped.

"That was the terrorist leader," Cindy explained. She paused, thinking of something. She
then remembered, "Tsubasa was his name."

"And what was that crunching noise?" asked TM.

"'Gator followed me," explained SSJ.

The five looked at each other, but Dark's yelling interrupted their thoughts, "STOP KIDDING
ME!"

They looked at Dark, at Kino, and at his creation. The android had stopped fighting, and
Dark stood there, still almost unharmed after fighting the Gemini. They saw Kino's sweat of
surprise as he turned to them. "So, Tsubasa is dead?" Kino asked. SSJ nodded. Kino just
muttered, "Well, my mission is done."

Kino jumped on the android, whose back began glowing. Air flew from it. The giant thing
began to float. Dark stood there, surprised. He yelled, "HEY! Get back here!"

Kino didn't look back as he replied, "I wasn't after you. You just barred my path. Now,
what's the point forcing open a gate to nowhere?"

Dark glared at Kino, who just flew higher. "DAMN YOU!" he swore.

"We won't meet again." And with that, the android, along with Kino, left the scene. Dark,
and the five were left. Dark looked up, and glared at SSJ. His eyes were of complete
hatred. Dark then looked at the glowing orb. The swirl of energy no longer surrounded it.

Dark turned to SSJ. "The controller of Atma is dead... I shall be the successor."

SSJ could only imagine what he meant, but Dark walked up to the orb, and placed his hand
on it. It whirled and reacted, until finally being absorbed by Dark. Dark sighed with
relief, as his wounds healed, and he stood, proud and unharmed.

Dark glared at SSJ. "Light, this'll be the last time you see me, without fighting. My power
is greater than that of yours. And next time we meet, I shall kill you."

Dark turned around and headed for the stairs. SSJ stepped forward and yelled, "Dark!" Dark
stopped in his walk, but didn't turn back. "What is it you want?"

Dark just continued walking away after that. All he said in reply was, "It is an insult to
me, to be based off of someone as weak as you. I shall prove, that the copy is greater than
the original. You are lucky that I am exhausted."

With that, Dark left. The five stood there, confused by everything. Soon, the police raided
the complex, but the five already escaped via the sewers.

Rantmon sat on his throne, watching the situation end. His face was flushed with anger,
and his eye twitched. He couldn't believe it. "It can't be," he thought aloud. "Someone
else got to the Atma weapon..."

A silence passed over, and Rantmon slammed his hand into the armrest of his chair. It
crumbled under his strength. "Damn it...!" This was a huge setback. He needed the Atma for
his plans! All he could do now was yell for his assistant. "Jallopsimon!"

He was surprised when no one replied. "Jallopsimon?!"

Still, no one replied. "DAMN IT! JALLOPSIMON, GET OVER HERE!"

But still, he didn't come, for Jallopsimon was already several miles away, off the island
in the sky, wearing a look of pure hatred on his face. His hands were covered with gloves,
tekkou. He was glad Rantmon became engrossed in the situation when the Atma appeared. That
allowed him time to leave. He walked forward, not caring about anything else in the world.
Except one. He muttered, "DDT... I'll kill you."

Cindy woke up in her bed, exhausted and stiff. Mokona dropped on her head, puu-ing all the
time. Cindy smiled, and sat up. Her back was aching as she looked around the room. TM was
packing, with his left shoulder covered with gauze. Thick enough to block his immense
wound. DDT was busy describing to Devimon how he single handedly take down an entire army,
while Amiko was busy in the bathroom. SSJ sat in the corner, with his sheathed sword
leaning on his shoulder. He looked at the ground, staring at nothing in particular.

"Awake, Cindy?" she heard TM ask. She nodded.

She saw TM turn to SSJ. "Well, you enjoyed the stay over here?"

"I really couldn't care less," replied SSJ, who returned to his thoughts.

Amiko then emerged from the bathroom, clean and refreshed. Her hair was wet and neatly
combed behind her. She stepped forward to the rest of the gang. "Where are we going now?"
she asked.

DDT replied, "Well, I thought we could go to-"

"We're gonna follow Dark," SSJ cut in.

The rest looked at SSJ, who glared at nothing but the floor. 'So, those were his thoughts,'
Cindy realized.

DDT just muttered, "Dark, huh?"

SSJ stood up and looked at the other four. He explained, "At least we have a purpose. We're
gonna follow Dark, and I'm gonna settle the score."

Amiko sighed and placed a hand on her forehead. "Stubborn idiot..." SSJ said nothing about
that.

And then, they left their room. They left Osseke. They abandoned the city. They left and
never looked back. And their adventure had only just begun.
