The Saiyan Saga - Part 5 - The Crystal
The gravity in the training room was really high now.It had only been 10 days and we were
already training at 200 times normal gravity.I was struggling to just stand up even though
it had been my idea to go this far.
Goku:Ready?
Me:I guess.
Goku flew at me throwing a punch.I just managed to move out of the way and tried throwing a
punch into Goku.He easily dodged it and swung his leg into me,throwing me into the wall.
I got up but just barely.I flew at Goku and moved around as much as I could.I managed to
land a punch in Goku's chest forcing him back.
Goku:Good hit.
Me:Thanks.It's only because you're holding back energy I was able to even touch you though.
Goku:Don't worry.Soon you'll be even stronger,I know it.
We kept on training for the next 15 days before we got to the debris of the planet.By the
time we had finished we were training the gravity was at 500.I climbed out of the gravity
room ready for us to navigate the large asteroids.
Ryoko:Hey,whoa.Looking a little buff there David.
I looked at myself for probably the first time since I started training.My muscles had
gotten quite a bit bigger.Not too big since I was holding back most of my strength.
Me:Ryoko stop.
Ryoko:Why?Embarassed?
Me:Maybe.
Vegeta:Hmp h!Pathetic.
Me:You wanna say that to my face tough guy?!
Vegeta:Hm,looks like you're not a complete wimp after all.
Me:Wimp,I'm going to make you eat those words.
Bulma:Break it up you two.We have to get in our seats in-case we get hit.
Vegeta:Very well.But once this is over I'm going to beat this boy into a pulp.
Me:We'll see about that.I'll show you just how strong I am.
We sat down and fastened our harnesses.The ship entered the asteroid field with Bulma piloting
us through the asteroids.
Ryoko:You really have to control you're temper David.
Me:I know.It's just that I can't resist a challenge and Vegeta's really sure of himself.I'm
gonna show him what I can do when this is over.
Vegeta:I heard that boy.And I will show YOU just how weak you are.
Me:The name is David alright!
Pan:Shut up you 2.
Bulma:Yeah.I need to concentrate.
I shut up and so did Vegeta while we manouvered through the asteroids.Eventually we came to
one much larger than the others.
Me:That's the one.Is there somewhere we can land?
Bulma:I think so.Looks like there's a large hanger or something just ahead.
We landed on the asteroid and looked around.We saw what looked like a door leading into
the asteroid.
Goku:Alright.Vegeta,Gohan,David,Goten,Trunks and Pan come on.We'll go and look inside.Bulma,
Videl and Ryoko stay here.
Videl:Why do we have to stay here?
Goku:It might be dangerous inside.No offence but none of you can really fight.We can.
Bulma:Alright then.Be careful Trunks.
Trunks:I will Mom.
Videl:Careful Pan,careful Gohan.
Pan:I will be Mom.
Gohan:Don't worry.We'll be fine.
Ryoko:Come back safe David.
Me:I will Ryoko.
Those who were going put on space suits and left the ship.We made our way over to the door
and I examined it.
Me:It looks like an airlock.I bet there's air inside too.
Goku:Any idea how we open it?
Gohan:I think I can do it.
Gohan went over to what looked like a control panel and started pressing the buttons.After a
few minutes the door opened.
Goku:Well done son.
Gohan:I guess all that studying Mom made me do as a kid really paid off.
Goku:I guess so.
We entered the air lock which closed behind us.A light came on and another door opened into a
corridor.There was air so we took off our Space suits.
Goten:Where are we Dad?
Goku:I'm not sure son.
Me:This way.The crystal is down here.I can feel it.
Goku:I can feel something too.
Vegeta:As can I.
Gohan:I dont feel a thing.
Me:I guess only full-blooded Saiyans can sense the crystals energy.
We walked down the corridor until we came to a very large door.There was a small panel next
to it and a hand shape on it.
Me:Vegeta,put your hand on that panel.
Vegeta:Why should I?
Me:Because I bet that panel scans your hand and can open the door.And I bet that it'll only
open if someone with royal blood puts their hand on the panel.
Goku:I think he's right Vegeta.
Vegeta:Very well.
Vegeta walked over and placed his hand on the panel.It flashed in a green light before there
was a loud noise and the door slowly opened.A bright light came out of the opening for a split
second before fading.We stepped through the door into a large room.In the center of the room
was a pillar of light coming from the floor,suspended in the light was a blue crystal.
Me:That must be it.
Goku:The Saiyan Crystal.
We flew up towards the crystal and stopped to look at it.
Me:Well,what now?
Vegeta:Now we take the crystal before someone else gets it.
Vegeta moved towards the crystal but suddenly the roof caved in.
Me:GET BACK!
Everyone moved back away from the falling rubble.When the dust settled I couldn't beleive my
eyes.
Me:YOU!
Tao:Surprised to see me?I knew if I followed you and your friends you would lead me to the
crystal.
Goku:Who are you anyway?
Me:This is the guy I told you about.
Vegeta:So.You are the one after our crystal.I'll soon change your mind.
Me:Wait.This guy is mine.I'm gonna finish you once and for all.
Tao:Really.I notice you've been training.But so have I.And I can tell I'm far stronger than
you.
Me:Oh really.You don't know just how strong I really am though.
I had been holding back most of my energy but I let it all go and my muscles bulged out a
little and my power level shot up rapidly.
Tao:You are strong boy.But I'm still stronger than you.I know all about how you've been
training in that little gravity room on your ship.
Me:You may think you know all about me.But you don't know one vital fact.Did you know that I
can become a Super Saiyan?
Tao:Super Saiyan?And what might that be?
Me:This!
I began to power up.My muscles bulged out further and I screamed in rage.My eyes turned green
and my hair moved up and into the Super Saiyan style.Finally a golden yellow energy surrounded
me and my hair changed colour.
Tao:Impressive trick boy.
Me:It's more than a trick.Watch.
I vanished and reappeared behind Tao.I elbowed him in the back throwing him across the room.
I moved to infront of him and punched him into the floor.
Me:Now do you see?
Tao got up off the floor and wiped a bit of blood away from his lip.
Tao:So you are strong.But you are no match for me.
Tao launched an energy beam at me but I just knocked it aside.He tried again but still
failed.
Tao:NO!THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE!I AM STRONGER THAN YOU!
Me:That's what you think.Got any last words.
Tao:In fact I do.Can you travel faster than a radio signal?
Me:What?
Tao pulled out a remote control and pressed a button.A red light came on and I heard an
explosion from outside.
Me:What was that?
Tao:That was your ship exploding.If you're wondering who was on board it was just your girl
with the pink hair.
Me:What?Ryoko?
Tao:Yes.The other women had come to look for you and your friends.She stayed behind to watch
the ship.
At that moment Bulma and Videl ran into the room.
Videl:What's happening?I heard an explosion.
Tears began coming from my eyes.My face showed a cross between anger and sadness.
Me:You-You-You Bastard!
I screamed in rage.The yellow energy around my body became brighter and a strong wind was
blowing around me.My energy exploded.When the light faded and the wind stopped I felt
different.I was even more powerful,and my hair was a little longer.Now a few strands came
down to just under my eye level.
Gohan:He's reached the next level.
Goku:It's because Ryoko was killed.It pushed him over the edge.
I stood with my body glowing in energy.A look of anger and determination on my face.All
that mattered to me was killing Tao and getting revenge for Ryoko.
Me:Now I will kill you.
Tao:What?This can't be happening.How have you become so much stronger all of a sudden?I
thought killing her would cause you to stop fighting.
Me:I don't care what you think.I'm going to kill you.
I vanished and re-appeared with my hand around Tao's neck.I began slowly crushing his neck.
Tao:Please.I beg of you have mercy.
Me:Did you have mercy on Ryoko?
Tao:Please!I'll never hurt you again.
Me:You've already hurt me in the worst way possible.You killed the girl I loved with all my
heart.And now I will kill you.
I crushed his neck instantly.Everyone could hear the bones crack and Tao coughed up blood.I
let go of him and his dead,lifeless body fell to the floor.I turned around to face the
others.
Vegeta:So maybe you are a real Saiyan after all.Kakkarotto here would have let him go.
Me:I don't care what other people would have done.I'm just glad he's dead.Huh?
I saw a flash of pink outside the door.I flew over and found Ryoko on the floor barely
alive.
Me:RYOKO YOU'RE ALIVE!
Ryoko(Weakly):Hi David.Sorry to worry you.I managed to get out when the computer told me a
bomb was on the ship.It exploded just after I got away.I just managed to get
here.
Me:Don't worry.You'll be alright.
I held Ryoko close to me and powered down.My hair colour and style returned to normal and my
eyes returned to their blue colour.I began crying again but this time they were tears of joy.
Bulma:That's so sweet.
Videl:I know.
Goku:Aww,cut it out you 2.
I stood up and helped Ryoko to get up aswell.We walked back to join the others.
Vegeta:Now we can get the crystal and finally leave.
Me:Hold on.Leave on what?The ship was destroyed.
Vegeta:The crystal has the power to transport us anywhere in the universe.
Me:Alright.
Vegeta moved towards the crystal but more of the roof caved in above Vegeta.
Me:LOOK OUT!
I blasted the rubble but I didn't know my own strength.I blasted right through the rubble
and my blast hit the crystal.
Vegeta:What have you done?!
Me:I'm sorry.I didn't mean to do that.I didn't know my own strength.
Goku:Leave him alone Vegeta.
The crystal began to glow.It was surrounded by energy before it began to crack.
Gohan:It's going to shatter!
The crystal then broke into 8 pieces.7 of them vanished and the last fell to the floor.
Vegeta:What happened?
Goku:I don't know.
We moved towards the crystal piece and Vegeta picked it up.When he did it began glowing
again.Before we could react a bright flash of energy came from the crystal piece.Everyone
had to shield their eyes.When I opened mine and looked around we weren't in the crystal room
anymore.We seemed to be falling through some kind of tunnel.The sides were blue energy and
seemed to be moving.
Ryoko:Where are we!
Me:I dont know!
Goku:I can't fly!
Gohan:Me neither!
We continued to fall with the girls screaming from fright.The rest of us were frightened but
were to stubborn to show it.Suddenly there was a bright light and we were out of the tunnel
and somehwere else...
