Dragon Ball/Z/GT Fan Fiction ❯ Veil ❯ Crystals ( Chapter 31 )

[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]

A/N: I bet all of you are surprised to find another chapter up. I am surprised myself... Due to such a vast response from people and you guys overloading the review board (yes, you guys overloaded the review board for the 32nd chapter! go see for yourself hehe), and a number of supporting emails, I have decided to continue writing this fic...

Although, in the future I will think twice about what I write and put a -larger- warning for all the flamers. Immaturity and childishness is most definitely not welcome in this fic. If you have a flame with constructive critcism, then I will gladly listen to your opinion and be thankful for your thoughts! If you only have rude and hurtful comments, then I don't want to know because I will just delete your review or delete your email without a second thought.

**Much love, respect and credit to Debido. Thank you beta-ing this chapter**

On with the next chapter!

As soon as the door slid shut, Vegeta's knees gave way and he fell forward, breathing roughly

and shuddering. He was just about managing to keep his composure. What he had witnessed was too much, even for the Saiya-jin no Ouji. Crawling across the room, he tried to stand. As he stumbled blindly to the door, he made his way to the bathroom.

Vegeta vomited into the toilet for the first time. It was a reaction to the rejection of the bond on Bulma's behalf.

He could feel it, deep within his soul.

There was nothing he could do about it;

In the end, he was going to lose her.

**************************************************************** *******

He felt cold.

So extremely and incredibly... Cold.

After the sudden outburst of regurgitating what seemed like every ounce of food he had eaten in the past twenty years, Vegeta had managed to walk painstakingly slowly to one of the many spare rooms on the ship. He couldn't go back. He couldn't go back to the room he had shared with Bulma in which they had... They had... Oh Kami, the pain he felt at the thoughts swirling in his mind, was ten times worse than any other he had experienced. Even now, a full twenty-four hours later, he could still feel that heart wrenching and crippling pain that coursed through his veins, paralyzing his soul... Did he even have a soul? He hadn't known until now, until Bulma's rejection of their bond.

His bottomless obsidian depths glared at the ceiling of the ship above him. He lay completely still on the soft bed, not moving a muscle nor blinking. It seemed as though he didn't have the strength to do anything, even to breathe in itself was a chore. The once great Saiya-jin no Ouji had been reduced to a weak and mindless creature, by the betrayal of his mate.

He didn't know with whom he was angrier at. Himself or Bulma. Him for leaving her alone in the first instance, or Bulma for allowing Frieza to control her actions. She should have been stronger willed! He had always thought she was a strong character deep down so why did she crumble under Frieza? He had survived Frieza's wrath albeit he turned into a cruel bastard in the process, so why wasn't she able to resist the lizard's dominance? Deep down, the Prince did not know if he could ever forgive her. It was most certainly not her fault she... Did what she did, but that did not put Vegeta's mind to rest. Nothing could quench his undesirable thirst to murder Radditz. To slowly rip him limb from limb and revel in the screams of pain that would ease his own suffering.

He wanted to lash out at Bulma. Physically harm her. Yet it did not outweigh the need to hold her. A snort exited from his nose. If only his father could see him now. Reduced to nothing by an impertinent female, a female he should have had nothing to do with in the first place. Yet against his better judgment, Vegeta had allowed himself to bond with her, impregnate her. In turn, he had defiled himself and ruined the Saiya-jin blood line. And for what? To have her betray him, thrown to the side as if her were nothing but garbage.

He screamed to himself, mentally cursing all living creatures under the sun. He forced himself to believe that she did not betray him, tried his damnedest to kill the image of Bulma moaning and bucking against Radditz, but it wasn't going away. Things had gone from bad to worse in a matter of months. Nothing was the same. He didn't even have a planet for fuck's sake!

The vivid image of Bulma and Radditz flashed once more in his mind. It remained imprinted in his mind as though burned into his flesh with a branding iron. It would fade from the surface, but the scar would always remain.

"Bulma..." He spoke out her name. His hoarse voice whispered through dense atmosphere of the room in which he had imprisoned himself. It was all that he kept repeating, all that his mouth seemed to be able to communicate and register. How could he go in front of his child hood friend and Bulma's pathetic friends in such an unruly state.

So broken, so defeated.

More importantly, so utterly embarrassed. Vegeta shifted from his fixed position, it was a miracle that he had even moved. A shiver caused him to shake mildly. Upon finding himself jolted out of the comatose state, he curled up into a tight ball, trying to rid the gut wrenching pain in his stomach. He would not be defeated like some pathetic worm! Of course, every fiber in his body was protesting at present. All he wanted to do was curl up hide under the covers, away from everyone and everything.

Vegeta, Saiya-jin no Ouji, was a fighter. But for now, he just wanted to ease the pain he felt from Bulma's rejection. He wanted to be alone.

He remained in the dark room;

Still feeling cold.

*****

Zarbon tilted his head in mild wonder.

He looked at the blue haired female that was floating majestically in the thick and brilliant turquoise liquid that surrounded every inch of her flawless, creamy skin. He could visualise why Frieza's pet monkey lusted after her. Hell, he'd even taken her as his mate! The bite marks on her neck was enough proof for the handsome green alien. Hesitantly, he reached out and caressed the glass frame of the machine, very much like a rejuvenation tank, that held the beauteous woman.

Her extraordinary azure hair swirled carelessly in the dense turquoise liquid. Spherical amethyst and sapphire crystals, the size of a small marbles trailed down her bare and supple flesh. They were needed for the dramatic power increase in which her body would undergo after she was removed from the tank. The amethyst crystals that were dotted down the front of her legs and arms, were used to enhance the power in which she already possessed. Whereas the sapphire stones that were embedded along the front of her stomach and spine, were needed to give her control over ki manipulation, which she would need.

A semi-large triangular shaped sapphire crystal had strategically been implanted into the center of her forehead. This crystal was the most important of them all. It would help to guide her movements in battle, and give her knowledge into the art of combat fighting. Something that took years to perfect, could be given to this woman in a matter of hours, all because of a few crystals and the turquoise liquid she now floated in.

She truly was a woman to be reckoned with.

He smirked. Once she'd defeated Vegeta, he would have to consider making her his own. Doda had already poured hatred into her being, for Vegeta and the rest of her so-called friends. It was an ingenious plan that Frieza seemed to have contrived, one that Zarbon could never have dreamed of.

Frieza had ordered Doda to place a blackness within her heart that could rival his and Vegeta's put together. Her memories had been implanted with revenge for the Saiya-jin no Ouji. After all, Vegeta had destroyed her home planet Buru-sei. The corners of Zarbon's mouth twitched upwards.

Buru-sei had been an actual planet that Frieza had commanded Vegeta to purge in the early days when Vegeta had been part of Frieza's squad. The planet was very much like Chikyuu-sei, the only difference being that the Buru-jins were much stronger than Chikyuu-jins, almost like Saiya-jins but they were not encompassed with battle and bloodshed. A secret camera had been monitoring the Prince's every move on Buru-sei and in turn, Frieza had captured footage of him destroying the planet and murdering a countless number of innocent citizens.

This footage was used as an aid to replace Bulma's memory.

The only fabricated part of her implanted memory was that Vegeta had killed her parents in front of her very own eyes. Frieza had ordered Doda to place the memory of her laying broken and torn by Vegeta's feet. Making her think that he had been about to kill her, when a saviour came to her aid. That saviour was Frieza. They escaped the planet, moments before its destruction. Now it was obvious that she would be indebted to the clever lizard and lived only to serve him, obtaining revenge upon the murderer of her family and her dear planet Buru-sei.

Zarbon let out a small chuckle, knowing that none of this was true. It was all an illusion from the false memories Doda had placed into her mind. Albeit, it was an ingenious plot on Frieza's behalf, Zarbon couldn't help but wonder if the little plan would backfire on Frieza. As loyal as Zarbon was, he just couldn't help but wonder.

He blinked slowly, caressing the glass in front of her cheek. So close, and yet so far.

"Is she alright in there?" A small voice interrupted his steady thoughts.

Zarbon drew his hand away from the glass and down into a pair of expectant eyes. He grunted at the tiny Namek-jin boy. "Of course she is."

Dende squinted and craned his neck as he looked up into the large tank that harbored the small woman. "She looks sad..." He said quietly, observing the tight and withdrawn features on her face.

Zarbon frowned and broke his gaze away from the small boy to see if he was right. He quirked his eyebrow as he found Dende's statement to be true. His eyes grazed over her drooping lips and knitted eyebrows and concluded that the Namek-jin boy was correct.

She did have a melancholy air about her.

"What's her name?" Dende asked, daringly.

He glared down at the small boy, knocking him away from the tank. "It is none of your concern boy."

Dende cried out as he fumbled to stay standing. He whimpered, clutching his chest that burned with a intense pain.

Zarbon rolled his eyes and made a motion for Dende to follow him.

Together, they went to the medical bay.

**************************************************************** *******

Bardock chewed thoughtfully on his lower lip, a habit he had picked up whilst being in the company of Dr. Briefs. He drew a deep breath as he tapped softly on the steel door. Bardock knew the Prince would be in there, away from his old room as he had been for three days. He knew that the mighty Saiya-jin no Ouji wanted to seek refuge away from the haunting memories that crippled his soul and Bardock couldn't blame him one bit.

"Vegeta no Ouji?" He asked fearfully.

When no answer came, he knocked on the door slightly harder.

"Sire, you must come out. You have been in that room for the past three days. We are going to be landing on Namek-sei in three hours, ahead of Frieza. You are needed in the control room." He winced as he spoke the tyrant's name.

The silence was frightening.

Vegeta was never known to stay silent for long when angered, and so this worried Bardock.

Without a second thought, he pounded harder on the door. In the past three days when he had come to goad the Prince out of the room, a catty remark from the Saiya-jin no Ouji would always send Bardock away. But now that there was silence, he began to panic. "My Prince?" The alarm in his voice rose tenfold as he pounded harshly against the door. He prayed to the Saiya-jin deities that the door would open.

After a few more minutes of relentless pounding, the desperation Bardock felt would not cease until he had spoken with the Prince. He drew away from the door, gritting his teeth and growling. A small yellow sphere of ki appeared in the palm of his hand. He drew his hand back and aimed for the weak part of the door, blasting it open.

Light blinded Bardock's vision and a deep rumble echoed through the ship as the door was ripped and disintegrated from its hinges. Upon seeing the cleared entryway, he flew in and frantically looked around the room, in search of the Prince. He exhaled in relief as he saw a dark figure breathing heavily on the bed in the corner of the dark room.

But that relief was short lived as Bardock neared the Prince. His breathing was abnormally shallow and the rasping coughs that were uttered every few seconds were nothing like Bardock had heard before. Bardock frowned as he kneeled by the bed side, rolling Vegeta off of his stomach and onto his back.

The elder Saiya-jin gaped at the face of his Prince. The olive-toned skin had paled to such an incredible state, that he almost looked ghostly. Beads of sweat trickled slowly down his cheeks and forehead which was an unusual reaction in the somewhat cold room. But the most heart stopping aspect that caught Bardock's eye was the thin lines of blood that ran down his cheeks from his eyes and mouth. The Saiya-jin scientist shook his head in disbelief as he grazed his thumb over the Prince's high raised forehead. His temperature was feverish yet the rest of his body was as cold as ice.

Bardock grimaced as Vegeta gasped for breath and opened his eyes. They were cold and dead. Like his soul. He continued gasping as he grabbed Bardock's hand away from his forehead.

Shaking and trembling like a leaf, the Saiya-jin no Ouji held Bardock's hand tightly as he tried to slow his shallow breathing. "Bardock..." He wheezed. Although he looked remarkably weakened, the grip he had on Bardock's hand was cutting off the elder Saiya-jin's circulation. Vegeta shook as he gasped, trying to communicate to one of the few Saiya-jins left alive. "It's... Bulma... She-" He gasped, powering up and hurling Bardock away from him in a flash of blue ki.

Bardock grunted as he stumbled backwards, frowning at the erratic behavior of his Prince.

Vegeta clutched his stomach, rasping as he tried to hold on to his fading breath. "Bardock-she's... Gone." His hair flashed to an odd shade of white for an instance.

The Fhak'tar was screaming for its release, trying to hold onto its life as Vegeta was slowly being killed from the inside.

A shiver raced down Bardock's spine as his eyes widened. He scrambled to the foot of the bed, trying to shake Vegeta out of his psychotic state. "What do you mean, is she dead?!" Grabbing his shoulders, Bardock shook him violently hoping that it would regain his composure.

Vegeta gasped again, trying to keep a grip onto his reality and not allow the Fhak'tar to over power him. "No... I-I can't sense-" His voice shook in rage and sadness, "Her! She-she's not on the other... Side. She's not mine anymore..." He breathed out finally, groaning as he clamped his hands over his stomach whilst curling up into a tight ball. His body wracked as thundering coughs came from his throat, along with specks of blood.

Bardock drew back in fear. What was he going to do? How was he supposed to cure the pain?! Flying to the door, he went in search of the other guests on the ship. Someone had to know what they could do to help the Prince! He was being killed internally from the broken bond, and slowly but surely he would wither away and die if something wasn't done. But the most horrific idea was that should Vegeta not want to die, the Fhak'tar within him would be provoked to awaken. It had already started clawing it's way up from the recess of Vegeta's mind. There was no telling what would happen.

*****

Frieza growled as he looked at the large navigator on the screen in front of him. He stamped his foot childishly. "How can this be?" He bellowed to one of the cowering pilots.

"L-Lord Frieza, I assure you, we are trying are best to catch up with the Saiya-jin ship, but it seems as though some upgrades have been made to the ship's design. It is ten times faster than a Saiya-jin ship normally is."

A red tail snapped the air viscously. Frieza narrowed his eyes at the screen. "So Vegeta, it seems as though you think you have outsmarted me again!" He chuckled quietly. "Turn the ship's throttle to full speed. It's high time we ended this game of cat and mouse. If Vegeta want's a real race, then we're going to give him one! Isn't that right dear?" He turned to his right side and stared questioningly into the face of a gorgeous, jewel encrusted woman.

Bulma smiled waspishly. "Aboslutely... Lord Frieza." She chuckled along side her master, whilst fingering the amethyst crystals that were embedded in her arm. Her eyes narrowed at the screen as the radar zoned in on the Saiya-jin ship that was cutting through space's paper thin atmosphere like a fish in water. "It's payback time Vegeta..." She snarled, turning her head away so that her master could not see the clear droplets of salty tears pool in her eyes. She knew he would berate her for the show of weakness.

She was a warrior, and warriors were not supposed to show an ounce of emotion. But she could help but feel heart broken as memories of her home planet's destruction coursed its way into her mind. They attacked her every thought, every move. And each time they would upset her, make her feel rage and hate towards the man that had destroyed her beloved planet and killed her parents.

Bulma knew she was completely indebted to the small but powerful man that stood beside her, and knew that he too wanted Vegeta to suffer. Just like she did. Her thoughts began to wander as she thought of different ways in which she could eliminate and torture the Prince. If her calculations were correct, then they were both going to be equal in strength at full power. She frowned, hoping she was slightly stronger than the arrogant Prince, now that Frieza had kindly given her a power boost.

She could remember being a fighter on her old planet, the training she had received there and continuous meditation. Her life had seemed perfect in Buru-sei. That was until the evil Saiya-jin had landed on her planet, destroying and crushing all that stood in his way. She frowned. What had he been doing on her planet anyway? That much of her memory was flawed, for she could not remember why he had been there in the first place... There was something odd about that.

She shook her head, embedding the bitter tears deep within herself so as not to show her master and liege. The sooner they landed on Namek-sei, the better. She couldn't wait to come face to face with his Royal Highness Prince Vegeta. She was going to crush him into the ground until not even the spit in her mouth would cover him.

At this time, Frieza seemed blissfully ignorant to all of her bitter and twisted thoughts. He waved his hand absently as he stared at the screen. "You may go train with Zarbon now. He still complains that you are lacking in your combat skills. We should be arriving on Namek-sei in less than an hour and I want you to be at your full potential."

Bulma gaped at the lizard. "That's not true!" She stated indignantly. "I'll have you know Lord Frieza, that I can beat Zarbon's scrawny little ass any day! Why would he say such untrue things?"

Frieza smirked and stared at his wondrous little creation. "Do as you are told Bulma, I do not wish to repeat myself. If Zarbon says you are still weak in some of your combat skills, then I suggest you work on it until you can fight with your eyes closed."

Bulma huffed and stomped out of the room in a blinded rage.

Zarbon was going to pay.

She was going to rip his smooth and flawless skin right off his pretty little face!

*****

Goku frowned down at the twitching yet slumbering Saiya-jin Prince. He seemed so troubled, even in his sleep. He looked over at his best friend and son in the far corner of the room, playing cards. A small smile surfaced on his lips. It was all they could do at a time like this. Training was not in option as Goku had deemed this hour as a time to relax. He knew how strenuous training could be and without a proper break, they would all go completely insane.

His gaze shifted to his father's, catching the worrying look on his face. Goku looked away quickly and stared once more at the sleeping Prince. He sighed in exhaustion. They had all been training constantly for the past three days and it was the first time they had taken a break.

A heavy hand on his shoulder caused him to retreat from his thoughts.

Goku turned and faced his twin brother. They smiled at each other awkwardly.

Kakarottt cleared his throat as he removed his hand from his brother's shoulder. "Thank you... Brother."

Goku looked at him perplexed. "What for?"

"For helping Vegeta. I know you do not think he is worthy of help-"

"Everyone is worthy of help. Even if they are a terrible person at heart."

Kakarott smiled sadly. "I know he is, but deep down Vegeta has changed."

"I hope you're right, brother."

They looked at each other and broke out into a small round of idiotic laughter. After Kakarott had sobered up enough, he stared at the sleeping troubled face of his child hood friend. "What did you do for him? I mean, when father first told me of what had happened, it seemed as though Vegeta was on the verge of dying. He seems to be healing pretty well." The question had been nagging him since he had first found out about his friend's condition. He had been training when his father had come in and gave him the news that Vegeta was not well but that all was taken care of.

Goku grinned and dug his hand into the breast pocket of his orange gi. He pulled out a small brown satchel and spilled the contents of it into the palm of his hand.

Kakarott frowned as he stared at the small beans that were scattered across the large palm of his brother's hand. "What are they?"

"Senzu beans. It's a special plant that is grown on Chikyuu-sei. It heals an injured person within seconds of swallowing."

Kakarott stared at the beans in wonder. "But... How did this work on Vegeta? Doesn't he have to be Chikyuu-jin?"

Goku shook his head. "Not really. I'm not exactly human and it works fine for me. Although I'm not exactly sure how it worked on Vegeta, since the pain he was experiencing was mental as well as physical..." He trailed off, becoming more confused. It was all to much for the dense little Saiya-jin to take.

Kakarott shook his head, already lost at his brother's explanation. He decided to leave the ideas where they were, in the past. "Do you think he will be ok?" He asked, directing the question to his father.

Bardock stared solemnly at his son. "At this point in time, I'm not certain. We will reach Namek-sei in under two hours. If he is not back to his normal self by then... We will have to find a way to defeat Frieza ourselves and get Bulma back."

Goku cleared his throat and walked away awkwardly from the talking pair. He wished they would get to Namek-sei as soon as possible. The entire journey was taking its toll on the sweet-tempered Saiya-jin.

*****

Dende poured the remnants of his water into the empty food bowl he had been given. Zarbon had returned him to his small cell on the ground floor of the ship, where all the prisoner's were kept. He frowned. There was something about that man that Dende found confusing. One minute he was almost amiable and the next he was like an animalistic bastard with no remorse whatsoever.

The small boy sighed and thought of his home planet. He had over heard Zarbon talking to Frieza before he was sent to his cell. They would be reaching Namek-sei in just under an hour. He felt elated, yet fearful at the same time. What was to become of him and his people? Surely Frieza would kill them once he had his hands on the legendary Drak'se. The universe would no longer be safe if a tyrant like Frieza made his wish to become immortal.

Shaking his head, Dende lifted himself from his crouched position and walked tentatively to the large silhouette in the corner of the darkened cell. He gently lifted the bowl of water to the shaken man's lips. He would do anything he could to help the prisoners that were held in the prison and this man was no exception. He deserved every drop of water that trickled through his parched lips. He had been deprived of food and water for as long as Dende could remember.

Radditz noisily gulped down the water offered to him, leaning his back against the cold wall in exhaustion. Once the water was all but gone, he slumped down even further against the wall. Terrible images evaded his mind. All the things that had happened to him, and all the things he had done...

Frieza had restored Radditz to his normal state after the incident with Bulma, as further punishment for Radditz. He wanted Radditz to have full knowledge that he betrayed his Prince, even if it was unintentionally. And so, Radditz sat dejectedly in the small cell, reliving the event in his mind over and over again. He looked at the small boy and grimaced. A mighty Saiya-jin warrior reduced to a weak sniveling coward, all because of one lizard and the woman he had fallen in love with.

He could remember everything. The Prince watching, the sounds, the smell... The touch of her under his fingers.

Radditz groaned as he tore his eyes away from the innocent Namek-jin boy. He did not want to taint the boy's innocence with his impurity. He felt lower than scum. How could he have done such a thing to the Prince? His Prince, and the Prince's mate. Such an act was punishable by death and Radditz knew it.

He couldn't care less that he wasn't in the right frame of mind when he had committed the act. He felt as though he had violated an other's mate and lover and that thought could never be erased from his memory. Radditz shivered as he remembered the past few months on Frieza's notorious ship. He could distinctly hear his own screams echo through the long halls of the ship. He wanted to curl away and die quietly.

Even now, Radditz shook from the memories of Bulma and him...

Gods, how he loved her!

Not even words could describe how he felt about her. Ever since their first encounter on Chikyuu-sei, he knew he had felt something. But he had been different back then, he was a changed man now. All because of her.

It tore his soul to know he that he had her in his arms as a lover, but never truly had her soul in the act. They were never meant to be. It was written from the beginning in his ill-fated destiny and there was nothing Radditz could do to change it.

He blinked slowly, his eyes focusing on a childish green face once more. His only friend... His saviour.

If it hadn't been for Dende, the lack of food and water would have caused him to wither away. But even that was not enough for the burly Saiya-jin. He needed a vast amount of food to sustain energy in his body, and the minuscule amounts he received each day were not enough.

His cheeks had sunken in and his bones were almost showing through his muscle. His body was using up the last of his reserves for energy. His muscles.

His own body was eating at him to survive.

Radditz had never thought he could be reduced to this... He growled, the faded anger once again returning to him. He had to save Bulma dammit! He had to return her to Vegeta, or he would never forgive himself whether or not he lived in this dimension or in the dimension of hell.

"Are you feeling ok?" Dende asked in concern.

Radditz's eyes shuttered in recognition. He nodded slowly, wincing with pain as the building fluid in his neck joint flowed out. "Y-you need to get out of here..." His stutter was due an after effect of having his mind tampered with.

Dende nodded in understanding. He gently fanned the large man, giving him relief from the terrible heat in the small cell. "We should be landing on my home planet soon. As soon as we land, I'll try to escape. I've already found three passageways with different exits. Frieza won't even know which one I've gone through."

Despite himself, Radditz had to smirk. "Br-Bright boy..."

Dende frowned. "I'm taking you with me, I can't leave you here."

Radditz frowned with great effort. "D-do not be stupid boy, t-there is no way b-both of us will es-eca-" He found he could not say the diffcult word in his stutter, not being able to form the 'p' with his mouth.

"Escape?" Dende finished off for him. He felt such pity for the once proud warrior.

Radditz nodded, closing his eyes. He felt himself lose consciousness slowly, uttering a final word before his grasp on the world around him slipped. "B-Bulma..."

The small boy shook his head sadly. There was no way he was going to leave Radditz by himself! He continued to slowly fan the large yet weakened man. They were both going to leave this ship alive and he swore fealty to the eldest Namek-jin, Guru, on it.

*****

"YOU BASTARD!" Bulma shrieked as she flew towards her opponent in rage. Her anger was blinding all of her judgments, causing her to falter in her moves and carelessly laying a punch against Zarbon's abdomen. Just as her fist was about to connect, he grabbed her wrist and flipped her up into the air, slamming her down into the floor.

He chuckled as he straddled her waist, looking on in amusement as her hate-filled eyes glared up at him.

"I hate you!" She hissed nastily.

Zarbon chuckled. "And why would that be Bulma?" He playfully ran his finger over the triangular sapphire crystal that was in the center of her forehead, temporarily paralyzing her. It was her only weakness but it was the only reason she was able to fight at all. That and the amethyst crystals. Whenever they sapphire crystal in her forehead was touched, she would instantly become immobile. It was another trick Frieza had picked up from the many planets he had purged under his Empire's name.

Bulma was at a loss for words as she became immobile. She sputtered out a continuous round of angry insults. "You lily livered man-whore! Get off me!" She narrowed her eyes in a deathly glare, only earning a round of raucous laughter from her opponent. "How dare you tell Frieza I'm lacking in combat skills! Of all the nerve-you-you pretty boy!" It was the only lame insult her mind could have concocted at that moment.

Zarbon's laughter was full blown by now. At least her old personality hadn't entirely been erased when Doda performed his magic. He wiped a tear from her eye and was about to remove his finger from the jewel, when a computerised voice resounded through the room and entire ship.

"Master ship is approaching Namek-sei. Landing will take place in five minutes. All crew to their stations immediately. Prepare for landing."

Zarbon growled at the interruption. He was having so much fun pestering the small yet powerful woman and now they had to stop their little feud in order to land and get to serious work. Shaking his head, he stood up and removed his finger from the sapphire jewel, allowing Bulma to move once again.

Bulma dusted herself off as she stood, scowling hatefully at the handsome green man. "I swear, if Frieza didn't favour you, you ass would be a french fry by now." She muttered under her breath in annoyance.

Zarbon raised his eyebrow and hid the smile forming on his lips. He was getting quite used to having her around the ship and seeing her vivacious personality first hand, with quirky barbs and all. She was growing on him greatly and for some strange reason, Zarbon didn't mind.

He held out his hand and offered it to her. "Shall we?"

Bulma pouted her bottom lip. She frowned. "Don't think we're even yet Zarbon. I'll get you for what you said about me." Without a second thought, she brought her curled fist down upon his jaw, causing him to cry out in surprise and fall to the ground helplessly.

She smirked at his fallen form by her feet. She wiped her hands clean, an evil glint gracing her eyes. "Take that you piece of green shit!"

Spinning on her heel, she stormed out of the room and made her way to the seat beside her master. She was more than ready to face Vegeta, whether or not Zarbon agreed. She knew she could kill him, no matter what anyone said. She wasn't weak, she was powerful and she would show them all.

She would avenge her parents, and her planet.

Even if it killed her…
