Do you ever wonder... A short piece of free form poetry illustrating one insight to life that makes me think, and I hope it will tease all its readers too.

Life passes by too quickly, but if you can spare 45 seconds, you have time to read this poem. Give your brain a nice piece of candy to chew on tonight!

Do you ever wonder what might have happened

if our lives would have taken a

slightly

different

path?

If we wouldn't have met in the hall,

Weren't in the same class,

Didn't say "hi"?

Sat at a different table?

Stayed a little later...

Left a little earlier...

What would have happened if...

We would have been a little faster,

A little slower,

A little stronger,

Just a little weaker,

More prepaired

More unprepaired

More SpOnTaNeOuS, a little CrAzIeR, had more FuN

Less immature, worked a little harder, accomplished more.

Failed a class?

Made Validictorian?

Skipped more...

Skipped less...

Made more "mistakes"

Made fewer bad decisiouns

...Not been so shy?

Spent more time playing sports

Spent more time drawing and writing

Instead of wishing we had attained those skills.

Played another instrument?

Said "to hell with it" and actually joined choir?

...Not been so afraid to try?

Not been there for some things...

Been there for someone...

...Not been so afraid of failure?

Lived more...

Loved more...

Seen more...

Done more...

...Not given up so easilly?

What if you would have prevented that accident

by not letting him drive?

Or what if...

He wouldn't have pulled you back

when you stepped in front of that car?

You only walk one path

You only get one chance.

Destiny isn't made,

It's chosen.
