Golden Sun: A New Saga
Chapter 6
"...Uhnnnn..."
Sheba woke up and brushed the dust off herself. She was surprised to find
out that she was
alive, after the mysterious place caved in... Not just her, but everyone
else as well.
They were inside a forest. Everyone soon got up. "Well," said Jenna, "Looks
like we're all in
one piece....I thought it would've been the end of the road for us..."
Suddenly Jenna noticed
a sort of gap in the group. "Hmm...I feel like someone's missing..." She
then looked at Sheba,
then at Piers, then Felix, then Garet, then Isaac, then Ivan. "Huh???" She
frantically looked
through everyone again, then finally noticed it. "Mia's missing!" Everyone
looked back. Mia was
not there, to their surprise. "You're right. Mia IS gone!" said Sheba.
"Where could she be?"
asked Garet. Piers spoke out. "I remember seeing her in that mysterious
place. She was standing
on some tree branches on the ceiling. I saw Alex too..." "You did?" Felix
asked. "Yes," Piers
replied. "I guess it is because of a Water Adept's ability to sense other
Water Adepts." "Well,
we should rest before pressing on. There is a town nearby. We should stop
there."
They visited the town. It was bordered by forests. The town was also very
big. "We should rest,"
said Sheba. They headed for the nearest inn and rested there...
Suddenly Garet overheard a conversation outside. He woke up to hear it.
"We had found a young lady washed ashore."
"Really?"
"Yes. It was surprising she did not drown when she drifted all the way
here."
They must be talking about Mia, Garet thought.
"It was strange...she was muttering someone's name...I think she said,
'Alex.'"
Garet suddenly woke everyone up. "Hey everyone! Wake up!" Jenna, feeling
rather sleepy, said,
"What is it, Garet? It's midnight, for crying out loud." "I heard two guys
talking. I think it's
about Mia," Garet said. That immediately woke everyone up. "I heard they
were taking her to a
clinic," he said. "Let's go see her." They immediately headed to the clinic.
"Is Mia here?"
asked Piers. "Mia?" questioned the doctor. "You mean that young lady we
found? Yes, she's here.
She's just in the next room." "Thanks!" But then, they were shocked when
they saw her. She was
lying in a bed, and she has breathing hard. "Mia!" The other Adepts
gasped. "What happened to her?" Jenna asked, bewildered. "I don't know..."
Piers replied.
He walked toward Mia. "Mia...." Piers called out to Mia. Mia opened her eyes
and looked at Piers.
Piers slightly smiled, but then he was confused when she said,
"A...lex..." "Alex!?" Piers exclaimed. Mia's eyes were dull. "Hmm..." said
the doctor, coming
in. "Let me see her." He came over to her and observed her closely.
"Sigh...I have never seen
anything like this..." "What's wrong with her?" Isaac asked. The doctor
replied, "The problem is
not within her body, but within her mind." "Yes?" Ivan asked. The doctor
then said, "She seems
to have a severe mind poisoning, causing delusions in her. I am not sure
exactly, but if it lasts
for a week or two, she could remain that way for the rest of her
life...unless..." "Unless what?"
Garet asked. "....Unless you find some Mystic Herbs. Mystic Herbs are very
rare, however."
"Where can we find them?" asked Sheba. "There are very few Mystic Herbs
today, but they come
from the Sylpherian Forest, about not too far from here. It is said that the
Mystic Herbs are
created by faeries, or Sylphs. They can cure almost any disease." "Then
we'll do it! Anything
to save Mia!" declared Garet.
And so they set off to the Sylpherian Forest, in the hopes of finding the
Mystic Herbs to cure
Mia. Will they succeed? What, other that the Sylphs, awaits them? Find out
in Chapter 7!
