Golden Sun : A New Saga
Chapter 11
After saving the people of Kashiuri, our heroes had finally arrived at Luna Lighthouse.
"I guess this is it....." Gina said. Jenna said, "We must hurry. Menardi has the Luna
Star! Who knows what might happen next." They walked in.
The inside of Luna Lighthouse was basically the same as all the other Lighthouses, except
the walls were silver. "A tablet?" asked Gina, suddenly seeing a stone tablet. "Let me see
what it says." She walked up to it and read it. She then said, "It says, 'The darkness holds
some secrets that the light cannot.' What does it mean?" Alex said, "Who knows? But we
must reach the top of the lighthouse before Menardi does." A Djinni popped out of Samuel's
armor. He was facing the right. "We must go this way first!" They took the right passage.
Meanwhile, in the Crystallia Palace, Princess Serenity, with her lavender hair,
eyes, and gown, had sensed thatthe heroic team of Adepts were going to unlock the Cosmos Sanctum
by lighting the final two lighthouses. "Good luck...." she said.
Back in the Luna Lighthouse.....
"That is weird. Not even my Reveal can find a way out!" Ivan said. Gina thought, "Wait a minute!
The scripures on that tablet....." "I know!" she said. "We must block the light flowing into
this room." Using the movable pillars, they blocked the rays of light. It was then dark.
"Now what?" Sheba asked. Suddenly, a beam of moon light shone on some symbols on a wall.
The symbols glowed silver. "Try your Reveal now, Ivan," said Garet. Ivan said, "Okay.
Reveal!" Immediately the passageway out appeared. As they headed out, they walked into
another hidden chamber. This time, it had the symbols of Luna and Jupiter on the walls.
"Huh? Why Jupiter?" Jenna asked. Lily replied, "The two elements that, when fused,
make up darkness are earth and wind, and the two fused elements that make light are fire
and water." "Oh," Mia said. There were movable pillars and switches covered by vines.
Sheba said, "Leave it to me. Whirlwind!" Using a great amount of her Psynergy, she turned
the normally small cyclone into a giant tornado, blowing away all the vines. "Amazing...."
Samuel said. Sheba soon collapsed to the ground, due to her massive usage of Psynergy.
Isaac said, "I'll help." He used a Psy Stone on Sheba. Sheba got up. "Remind me never
to do that again," she said, overwhelmed. They moved the pillars onto the switches and
headed through the door that was just opened.
As they headed into the room, they saw a magic circle just like the one in Anemos
Fortress, however, the Venus, Jupiter, and Luna symbols were there. The Jupiter symbol
was glowing. Samuel said, "This means we have to use the other passageway to activate
the Venus symbol." They walked back to where they started.....
Meanwhile, at the Luna Lighthouse Aerie........
Saturos said, "Good, Menardi. You have the Luna Star. Now those brats won't even stop us."
Menardi said, "Yes, but I feel like toying with one of them a little......."
Saturos said, "Which one?" Menardi replied, "The little girl whom I cast a spell on.
She may have broken free, but this time she won't be so lucky....."
Back to Luna Lighthouse......
The Venus symbol had been activated on the magic circle. Samuel said, "I now know what we
should do next. Isaac, Felix, Sheba, Ivan, Gina, follow my lead." They then used their
Psynergy on the magic circle. The Luna symbol glowed. Gina said, "Okay. Let's step on the
magic circle now." They stepped on the magic circle. Sheba yelled, "Teleport!" They
were teleported to another magic circle near some stairs. After going up the many stairs
and solving many puzzles, they made it to the Aerie. As they walked, Piers said,
"Look, it's Menardi....." Mia said, "Menardi!?" Suddenly, she felt the same spasm of
pain, and heard the same screeching sound in her head. "Aaaaa Not again!" "Mia!?" Garet
asked. Felix asked, "What's going on?!" Mia covered her ears, but she could not block the
sound. "No.....no....Nooooooooo!!!!" She crouched onto the floor, still covering her ears.
Her eyes slowly became dull and glazed. Alex screamed, "Mia!" But Mia could not hear.
Mia's mind was slowly being dissolved in a black haze. Joel tried to shake her, but she
wouldn't snap out of it. The last thing Mia heard before her mind blacked out were her
friends calling her name. She then seemed to be frozen in her crouching position.
Joel tried shaking her again, but she was stiff as ice. "Ugh....she won't budge!" he said.
Mia saw herself lost in a cold dark place. "Where am I?" she said. She saw a light someplace,
and began to run to it. However, she was not free. She saw herself running, and
as she ran, she saw everything that Menardi had done to her and Alex....Alex becoming
Menardi's servant...Alex lighting the Mercury Lighthouse....Mia's dream in the Mercury
Sanctum.....the event in the strange place....the events in Anemos Fortress...and
then she was lost in darkness again. She curled into a fetal position. "I'm alone.....
again...." she said. Suddenly she heard someone calling her. "Huh!?" She said.
She then noticed the familiar voices calling her name. Her friends. She saw them
as glowing specters of themselves. "Snap out of it, Mia!" Joel said. "Mia!" Lily said.
"This is just another one of Menardi's mind tricks!" Gina said. "Don't let Menardi fool you!"
Samuel said. Isaac, Garet, Ivan, Jenna, Sheba, and Piers all called out, "Mia!" Then
Alex appeared. "Take my hand," he said. Mia took it. Then the rest of her friends took
her hand, and pulled her out of the dark abyss.....
When Mia got herself back together, she saw her friends looking at her happily. "Thanks.."
Mia said. Mia then remembered all the things shown to her in her mind, and her hatred for
Menardi was renewed. "I have to get back at Menardi," she said angrily. "Are you mad!?"
Gina said. "You can't face her alone!" But by the time Gina said this, Mia was already jumping
over the floating platforms and reached the place where Menardi was standing, almost to light
the Lighthouse. She struck Menardi several times with her staff. Menardi didn't even attack.
Suddenly, Mia magically turned her staff into a sword, and drove it into Menardi. Menardi
dropped the Luna Star and fell to the ground. Mia said, "And that ends Menardi's dastardly
deeds....." Suddenly Lily yelled, "Mia! Look!" Mia turned around. The "Menardi" that Mia
defeated had suddenly turned to stone and shattered. "So then...that WASN'T Menardi?!"
Mia exclaimed in horror. "Yes, foolish girl...." said the real Menardi. "Menardi!"
everyone screamed. Menardi said, "I knew your foolish friends would break the spell I
cast on you, so I created a duplicate of myself......but what's done is done. Thanks for
doing that, Mia." Menardi picked up the Luna Star that the fake Menardi dropped and threw
it into the hole. "NO!" Mia screamed. A silver beam shot out. Mia was ready to fight. Her
friends joined her. Saturos then stepped out of the shadows. "You won't be so lucky this time...
the power of darkness also boosts our strength!" And so the battle began. Mia took down
Menardi while the others focused on Saturos.
At the end of the fight, Satros and Menardi were crouching on the ground. "You may have
beaten us......but don't expect it to end right there!" Saturos said. Two dragons appeared,
and had turned into their true forms: Agatio and Karst. Agatio said, "We'll see you at
Sol Lighthouse!" Karst said, "Make sure you bring the Sol Star." The four evil Fire
Adepts transformed back into their dragon forms and flew off. Lily said, "So we have to
get to Sol Lighthouse....." Suddenly, and earthquake occured. The beacon area split, like it
did in Venus Lighthouse. Ivan almost fell. He held on to the edge. Garet said, "Ivan!
Hang on!" Ivan said, "I'm....trying!" But he soon slipped. "IVAN!!!!!!!" Garet screamed.
Jenna said, "I'm going in." Isaac said, "Jenna NO!" But Jenna jumped in. Suddenly,
the earthquake strengthened and all the other Adepts fell in......
Gina was the first to come to her senses. "Hey, you guys okay?" "Ugh....." "I think so...."
were among the responses of her friends. "That's good." Piers asked, "Where are we?"
Joel said, "I have no idea...." They were in a dimly-lit cavern. "Let's try to find a
way out of here," Samuel said. They walked ahead when they suddenly saw the ghost of
a little girl floating in mid-air. "Who are you?" Lily asked. "You are the heroes....
correct?" the little girl said. Gina said, "Yes. Why?" The little girl replied, "I can give
you a special power. Please, send out your Venus, Jupiter and Luna Djinn." The Djinn
popped out. The girl then stated chanting a spell. The Venus and Jupiter Djinn started glowing.
They then shone their light onto the Luna Djinn. The Luna Djinn glowed. The little girl
said, "Now you can summon Charon with 7 Luna Djinn." Garet said, "Yes, that nice and all,
but how do we get out of here!?" The little girl said, "I shall send you out." Then a
blast of dark wind shot our heroes out of the cavern.
Soon they were flying in mid-air. Since they were going to fall to their doom if she
didn't act fast, Sheba summoned Procne. "Everyone hang on!" she said. As soon as Procne
brought the heroes safely to solid ground, she turned back into the 3 Wind Djinn used to
summon her. The Djinn then went back into Sheba's pockets.
"The sky is dark....." said Gina. "This is a bad omen. I'd better Mind Link with
the Princess."
< Princess Serenity? >
< Yes? >
< The sky is dark....what does this mean? >
< Since all the Lighthouse Beacons except the Sol beacon have been lit, all the other elements
reign superior, but light is slowly becoming dim. >

Gina said, "The power of light is slowly fading! We must head to Sol Lighthouse, and fast!"

Chapter 11

sound. "No.....no....Nooooooooo!!!!" She crouched onto the floor, still covering her ears.

Jenna said, "I'm going in." Isaac said, "Jenna NO!" But Jenna jumped in. Suddenly,
