Golden Sun: A New Saga
Chapter 13
"Before you guys leave....." someone said. "Huh? Who said that?" Felix asked. It was the same
boy the Adepts saw earlier-- the one who gave them back the Sol Star after confiscating it.
The boy said, "I shall give your Djinn a special power. Bring out your Mercury, Mars, and
Sol Djinn." The Djinn were brought out. The Mercury and Mars Djinn started glowing. They shone
their light onto the Sol Djinn. The boy said, "Now you can summon Iris with 9 Sol Djinn. Now
it is up to you to save the world. Until we meet again......." The boy vanished. "Okay. Let's
take the Princess back to the Palace," Lily said. Garet said, "Okay." He used 3 Mars Djinn to
summon Tiamat, and by using Tiamat they flew back to the palace. When they arrived, Tiamat
turned back into the 3 Mars Djinn used to summon him.
"Uhn.........."
Princess Serenity awoke to find herself in bed, back at the Crystallia Palace. Her friends
were looking at her, happily. "What.....happened?" Serenity asked. "You fainted back at
Sol Lighthouse. We brought you back here," Lily said. Serenity said, "I think I remember.
Anyway, we must unlock--" "No," Alex said. "You should rest. You've practically used up
all your energy back there." "We should rest too," Mia said. They all prepared for bed
and then went to sleep. "Good night," they all said.
At midnight, Princess Serenity slightly woke up to see an aurora out the window. She went
upstairs to the balcony. She heard strange, shrieking cries, which she knew came from
the ruins of Atlantis, although at first she thought it was just a legend. She chanted an
incantation.
Sheba heard everything, and sleepily went upstairs to check on Serenity. "Serenity....
what are you doing?" she asked. Serenity said, "Nothing. Just go back to bed." "Okay........."
After a while, Serenity walked back to her bed. But then, the windows opened in the bedroom.
The aurora started illuminating the room. Everyone was fast asleep, so they didn't notice
anything. However, as she approached her bed, Serenity heard a shrieking noise in her head.
She was staggering desperately to her bed when the aurora grew brighter and then she passed
out on top of her bed.
[Inside the Dream]
Serenity saw herself in the ocean, along with her friends. She saw the ruins of Atlantis,
and ghosts were roaming about. "Guys....look at this..." She said to her friends.
"Whoa!" Garet said.
At the bottom of the ocean in their dream, was the legendary lost city of Atlantis.
When they landed at the bottom of the ocean, they saw ghosts of familiar faces roaming about.
Sheba recognized one. "Lord Babi!" she said.
Serenity also recognized some of the soldiers that died near Sol Lighthouse.
Piers said, "Princess......"
Serenity said, "Yes?"
"I'm sure my mother is dead. Well, how come she isn't here?"
"I don't know. Maybe she didn't really die."
"Ok........"
Serenity's words lingered in Piers' head. "Maybe she didn't really die......" "Is this true?"
Piers thought.
The ghost of an old man walked up to them. "Legendary heroes......."
Garet said, "Excuse me, geezer. We're not heroes. We're not even legendary. We're--"
Ivan elbowed Garet in the stomach. "You've gone too far, Garet," he whispered.
Isaac said, "Ignore what Garet says, he's a sort of a hothead......Anyway,
what is it? And who are you?"
Ther old man said, "I am King Darzu, the king of Atlantis. Ever since Atlantis was destroyed
and Necron was sealed away, spirits of the dead roam these ruins. And it looks like the Wise
One has chosen you all as the new legendary heroes."
"The Wise One?" Mia asked.
Darzu said, "Yes. Like Luna Adepts, The Wise One and Selenia can communicate telepathetically.
Selenia has appointed all of you as the legendary heroes. I know that you will destroy Necron,
save the Golden Sun, and free us all from this abominable curse."
Sheba asked, "What could Necron want to do with the Golden Sun?"
Darzu said, "No one knows. Anyway, he has several acquaintances to do the job for him."
Jenna asked, "You mean like Saturos, Menardi, Agatio, and Karst?"
Darzu replied, "Yes. And who knows, he might have other henchmen."
Felix said, "How can we destroy Necron the way we are?"
Darzu said, "You will soon have the ability to transform into the Guardians of the Elements."
"Guardians of the Elements?" Piers wondered.
Darzu replied, "The Guardians are the legendary guardian spirits of the elements. This power
was harnessed by the previous legendary heroes many years ago, however, they failed to protect
Atlantis."
The little boy from Sol Lighthouse and the little girl from Luna Lighthouse appeared.
The boy said, "Good luck, everyone."
Lily said, "You got it!"
Joel said, "We won't let you guys down."
The girl said, "The fate of the world is up to you."
Samuel said, "We will dispose of Necron."
Gina said, "You can count on us!"
Darzu said, "Serenity, you are our only hope. Liberate us from this curse."
Serenity said, "I will."
Soon, Atlantis vanished and our heroes were surrounded by the aurora's lights. Then everything
blacked out...............
Serenity was the first to wake up. "Guys, wake up......." she said. Everyone woke up."Uhn...
was that a dream? It felt real," Isaac said. Mia said, "Where's Alex? He wasn't in this dream.."
"Hey, guys," Alex said. "I was talking to Selenia while you guys were sleeping, and when I
got here, well.........here you guys are! So what happened?"
Piers told Alex everything. "I see........"Alex said. Serenity said, "We must unlock the Cosmos
Sanctum now at this time. Follow me."
Our heroes were led to an area near the forest where a pentagram was etched on the ground.
The 7 elemental symbols were on the pentagram. Serenity said, "Okay guys listen........"
Serenity stood in the center of the pentagram where the Cosmos symbol was etched into the ground.
The other adepts were standing on the sides of the pentagram with their corresponding elemental
symbols. Serenity started chanting.........
"Fire that burns bright......."
The Mars symbol on the pentagram, where Garet and Jenna were standing, glowed.
"Water in its many forms.........."
The Mercury symbol that Mia, Alex and Piers were standing on glowed.
"Earth's many wonders........"
The Venus symbol where Issac and Felix were standing glowed.
"Raging, furious winds........"
The Jupiter symbol on which Ivan and Sheba stood glowed.
"Sun in the east......"
The Sol Symbol, where Joel and Lily stood, glowed.
"Moon in the west......"
The Luna symbol where Gina and Samuel stood glowed.
"........Unlock the power of the Cosmos!"
The Cosmos symbol, in the center of the pentagram where Serenity was standing, glowed.
At that instant, the glowing symbols shot beams of light toward the sky, through
a dimensional portal..........
Meanwhile, back on Weyard.........
Kraden landed the Lemurian ship near Lalivero. He was attending Lord Babi's funeral, near Babi
Lighthouse. Just as the coffin was about to be laid into the ground, the beams of light from
Cirenia hit Babi Lighthouse! Then, something extraordinary happened..........
The Babi Lighthouse started to change! Soon it was a lighthouse with 6 giant pillars
surrounding it. The 6 pillars had crystals in each one of them. At the top of the center
lighthouse was a giant multicolored orb. Faran said, "What is that!?" Iodem was almost
speechless. "Babi Lighthouse........it's......changed!" Kraden said, "If Babi were still alive,
he'd love to see this........"
Just then, the Terranigma appeared in Weyard!
"Is that.......Isaac and the others!?" Kraden said.
The Terranigma landed near Lalivero. Isaac and his friends headed to the site of Lord Babi's
burial where Kraden was waiting. Kraden said, "Hi everyone? Who are your new friends?"
Lily, Gina, Samuel, Joel and Serenity introduced themselves to Kraden.
Soon Kraden said, "What happened to Babi Lighthouse!? It's...........it's.........!"
Gina continued, "It's now Cosmos Sanctum............"
Kraden said, "I know that Babi Lighthouse was built over what was supposedly the ruins of
a sacred place, but now it's transformed!?"
Suddenly, lots of monsters and fiends appeared around Cosmos Sanctum. "No time to waste.
Let's go," Kraden said. Jenna said, "Care to come along?" Kraden said, "I don't mind!"
He came with them. First, they searched for any entrances on ground level, but could find none.
"Hmm.....I have an idea...." Piers said. "See that giant multicolored orb above us? That might
be an entrance, because I see fiends emerging form it." "Then let's go," Felix said.
Before boarding the airship, they brought some items they thought they might need.
Inside the ship, Kraden said, "Oooh! Nice airship!" "Yeah, yeah" said Garet. "But this is serious
business. We need to get to that orb to enter Cosmos Sanctum." Joel was controlling the airship.
"Hang on tight, boys and girls, because it'll be a rough ride!"
But it was easier said than done. "Argh! Too many monsters! We can't get through!" Garet said.
Joel said, "I have an idea." He traced his fingers over the glowing orb and somehow fired a
psynergetic beam cannon on the ship that destroyed most of the monsters. "Alright!" Ivan
said. Mia then said, "Uh-oh! Here come more of them!" One of the monsters attacked the ship.
"We don't have much of a choice here," Gina said. "We must hurry to the deck!"
So they hurried to the deck and vanquished the monsters. But then more and more came, it was
an endless army. Lily ran to the bridge. "Mid! We have no choice. Get us as close to that orb as
you can!" Mid maneuvered the airship as close as he could, and the Adepts jumped off into the
orb as if it were a sphere of water.
Inside, the Adepts were looking for an entrance. "So....what happens next?" Piers asked.
Serenity replied, "Something's coming!" A fiend called Behemoth appeared. "Looks like this
isn't going down without a fight!" Felix said. They fought and vanquished the Behemoth, but
then, something strange happened. The orb's insides were starting to break apart! They
all fell through the distortion which leads to the Cosmos Sanctum.
