The angels among us

speak to me...

I am one of few that

still can hear them.

You do not ask a question

then expect an answer.

How can they reveal the answer

if you must know now?

They give us life, but we do not return it.

They are here to improve us.

We have since fallen from their grace.

They wish us to get better,

but we only make ourselves worse.

Their efforts are spent in vain.

Their voices used to ring

from Heaven to Earth.

Now they scream

barely above a whisper.

The ones who still hear them

speak not with forked tongue,

but a heart lined with truth and gold.

They have worked too hard to die.

They still wish us only better.

They think too little of themselves,

but we do not think more of them.

They scream.

"You are slowly killing me!

I am going to die!

You have killed my brethren,

and now you don't care for me!

As I breath out life,

I breath in death!

Your mortality!"#
