Ye Olde Greeks…
By Obsessor

Let the suitors die!

A/N: I know it's kind of weird to be writing about but… These will have to deal at least a little with the ancient Greeks and their beliefs. Some will deal with The Odyssey. And if anyone could tell me, is there an original/misc-misc category on ff.net? I'd rather not get warned again. This is with vocab from book 1-4.

Disclaimer: I do not own The Odyssey, it was created by Homer. He must've been amazing to memorize all that. Many thanks.

Sing the muse, harangue the suitors
Do not let their carousing ways go unnoticed, their chafing behavior
Give Telemachus reparation, let it be full of guile
Let his ultimatum for leave be heeded.

Show those suitors a portent
So they may be gone
Before they are ravaged.

Let a charioteer bring the halyard
From odysseus's ship
Hearsay that he is back.

Let the suitors flee
In face of the roughshod that will be contrived
No libations to Zeus will help their fate.

Staunch in their arrogance
Whetted swords by their sides
Overweening in their blazoned armor.

Odysseus, who was waylaid by the lustrous Calypso
Will return with his spoils
Ornate jewels, burnished gold, unbridled fury.

No citadel, no safe place to hide
Sodden with desperation
Let not yoke hold their fear.

Murdered by the colonnades
Murdered
The suitors.
