Finally Happy

*Author's note:* Ok I realize the title kinda sucks but oh well I'm
bad at title names. This is my first fic EVER. I'm only a sophomore in
High School so my writing skills are primitive and my English teacher
(I had the same one in freshmen year) sucks so I can't be held totally
responsible for my total lack of writing ability. Any way, this is a
fic about Tifa and Cloud because I truly believe the love Tifa had for
Cloud was truer than Aries'. Um... In this fic the character Mason, is
a tribute to my new baby cousin, so don't totally hate the character,
he's not really a bad guy. And Shirley is in honor of my hero, Shirley
Manson. ***

Chapter 1: The Dream

It had been two years since they had fought together, side-by-side,
yet to Cloud it seemed like it just ended yesterday. The memories of
it all were still fresh, especially her. The day she died still
haunted him, he relived it almost every night in his dreams. However,
this night was different.

The dream started the same, there he was on the stairs to the altar in
the ancient city. With her back to him was a girl, with a pink dress
and a long, brown braid in the back. The girl rose and turned to face
him but, it wasn't Aeris, it was Tifa. From above like an eagle
swooping down for his prey, appeared Sephiroth, with his Masamune
piecing though Tifa's torso. A tear rolled down her cheek as she
looked up and Cloud and whispered "I.... Love.... You... Cloud" with
her last breath as she fell over on the altar.

"NO, TIFA!!" screamed Cloud as he quickly sat up in his dark room in
his Costa Del Sol villa. Tears fell from his large blue mako eyes. He
went to the kitchen and sat at his brown wooden table with a glass of
milk it was about six a.m. "What did she mean by `I love you, Cloud'?
does she really love me? Or is it my self-conscience?" thought Cloud
aloud. He went back up to his room and tried to go back to sleep but
he got up suddenly, "I have to see her." He quickly put on his navy
blue pants and shirt and ran out of his house in a matter of 20
seconds flat. He sprinted to the docks where the large ocean liner was
docked, he knew he could wait for the large ship. He searched about
for a faster form of transportation. There sat the red airplane un
guarded, `this seems quicker.' He thought. If only he knew how fast it
could truly go he would have waited for the ship. Due to the fact the
owned never actually flew it, it took an hour and a half to make a
thirty-minute trip. `Damnit, I should have taken the ship.' Thought
Cloud. He landed the slow rusted plane a few feet from the entrance of
Mako, the new city that his friends had built from the rubble of the
Mako reactor. It looked beautiful the buildings were actually
buildings and not lean-tos like in the slums. There were bright, neon
red, blue, green, yellow, and orange, lit sighs gleaming off almost
every building. In one of the lawns of a building there was a sign
that read "RE-Elect Mayor Reeves `He built this city'" with a picture
of Cait Sith giving a thumbs up. Cloud smiled at it, but one sign make
him stop dead in his tracks. He looked up and the large blue neon sigh
that read "7^Th Heaven" He let out a large sigh of fear and
excitement. Hesitantly, he stepped thought the double swinging doors.
There were many people at the counter and there she was quickly
serving them all by her self. `It's not even eight o'clock in the
morning and people are desperate to drink... Strange.' Cloud thought
to himself.

"What the fuck is your spiky ass doin' here?" yelled a familiar angry
voice.

"Hey Barret." said Cloud nonchalantly to the rather large black man
with a huge gun for an arm.

"Don't fucking `Hey Barret' me!" growled Barret. "Two years and you
never fucking called or visited?!"

"I don't remember any of ya visiting me!"

"What the fuck you talkin' `bout Cloud, Tifa came to visit you a year
and a half ago and you sent her away with a broken heart."

Tifa heard Barret yelling but there were to many people in her way to
see whom it was at. She came out from behind the bar and pushed people
put of the way... "Cloud?!" she asked in surprise and happiness. He
turned to face her just as she jumped on him and hugged him. "Barret,
can ya cover for me?" she sweetly asked.

"...Yeah whatever..." grumbled Barret.

"What are you doin' here?" she asked kinda loud due to all the
commotion in the bar.

"I came to see the city... and you." responded Cloud.

"It's a little loud in here wanna come back to my house and we can
talk some more?"

"Sure."

Cloud and Tifa walk out of the bar leaving Barret in charge. Together
they walked down the brightly-lit street. They stopped in front of a
tiny brown house with yellow flowers and a white picket fence, all the
other house seemed drab next to it. Tifa led Cloud up the red brick
walk way to her door. As they entered the house a young man about
twenty-one with short spiked up brown hair came stumbling down the
stairs in army green shorts and a black t- shirt.

"Hi honey." Tifa greeted him.

"Hey baby." He said and the kissed each other quickly. "Who's this?"

"Oh, Mason, Cloud. Cloud, Mason." Tifa introduced.

"Pleasure." smiled Mason. Cloud simply smiled as they shook hands.

"Cloud is one of my oldest friends." She said to Mason, "Cloud, Mason
is my boyfriend." The phrase hit Cloud like a herd of wild chocobo.
