Chapter One
Why?
Tohru sat in her room, face stiff from tears. All she could do was cry and cry after what had happened. Why didn't she see it? Why couldn't she see what was happening to Kisa? Why couldn't she see the depression taking her over once more? Then, Tohru finally wondered if Hiro had seen it coming. If she had said anything. Tohru had heard nothing that sounded like a suicide would be in the future.
Ever since Kisa's death, Tohru hadn't left her room for anything except school, laundry, and the rest room. She had no passion to cook or clean, so the boys would order out every night or go out and bring Tohru something back.
