My Life

It this the way of the alchemist,

Is this what it is to be the dog of the military,

We've both been through hell

We've lost our mother and I have lost an arm and leg…

For what was that purpose

Oh yeah, to bring back our dead mother and to save Al's soul

But what did I get in return two automail arms,

A hideous creature that was suppose to be our mother,

And my own brother who's soul is trapped in a suit of armor

I guess this is my life

I guess is how it's been for the past ten years

Back then I was just a stupid kid,

Now I'm a boy turning into a man.

This is my way of life

Fighting humanculous,

looking for the Philosopher stone to gain what we have lost.

Back then we use to believe that humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return

To obtain something of equal value must be lost

That is alchemy's first law of equivalent exchange

In those days we really believe that to be the world's one and only truth.

Now we know the true horror of the alchemist

The truth of what we worked so hard to gain
