Broken Boy
 
Golden hair
Sad amber eyes
Sees the world
As angry, dark skies
 
Children tease
The adults stare
He's not like them
It's just not fair
 
Aching heart
A restless mind
He needs to go
Somewhere to shine
 
New York's home
City of dreams
Full, big and bright
Like his smile now seems
 
Teacher sits
Book in hand
Reads many tales
To his favorite lad

A dark room
The sensei stands
