[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
Title: Memories of a Bloody Past
Genre: Violence, mystical stuff, demons, AU, language, angst, death (none of the pilot), I'll add more if anymore comes up
Summary: Duo is a nameless demon that was once a heartless murderer of the innocent. Heero is a warrior who is set on making the demon pay for his wicked ways. When he finally confronts the demon, he finds that he has lost his memory. Is this a trick or is something really amiss.
Disclaimer: Nanashi is the name I got off a fic. It means 'No name' or something like that. I want to give the idea to the writer being that that's where I got the idea. I can't remember your name, but you know who you are, hopefully. I don't own Gundam Wing...the plot bunny won't stop biting me. They're pink and rabid, ya know, so don't sue. All you will get is a handful of pocket lent.
Pairings: Haven't thought of any past 1x2, but I'll keep you updated on that situation.

Chapter 11:
(seven years later)
Training had all but intensified for Heero. He wasn't fighting dummies anymore but dragons and the occasional ogre. At fifteen years old, he was a prodigy and well known by every village.
A new village would send a messenger saying that a creature of great strength was terrorizing their cul-de-sac. G would take them up on their request no matter what their price.
Heero was frequently burnt and trampled for a meager two pieces of gold. The trials had left his body without a hint of fat but every hint of scarring. Regardless of his injuries no matter how fresh they were, he either fought or starved. The only comfort he received from this lifestyle was the fact that G would starve as well.
“Boy, we have another mission.” G barked from where he stood by a fallen tree. They had camped there for almost a month, the longest period of time either of them had stayed in one spot. A quarter a mile away was a small village holding no more than fifty people. Within it was their new target.
The elderly man quickly ran every possible scenario inside his head. Though he was in no way attached to the boy currently under his care, he wasn't allowed to let him get killed. Absently he rubbed at the marking still coloring his skin. He found it quite humorous that he couldn't remember a day where the green symbol didn't stain his wrinkled skin.
Heero watched the man carefully from where he sat on a branch in a tree not too far away. His emotionless eyes never flickered with excitement or resentment for what he had to do. A mission was a mission and he'd do anything in his power to complete it.
“There's a golem that plagues the town not too far from us. From what I'm told it is a stone golem due to the fact it only comes out during the night. You are to kill it within five days. No meaningless casualties.”
The blue eyed youth only nodded his understandings before jumping from his perch. He stalked with long strong strides and barely concealed strength. He stopped by the fallen tree just beside his mentor and took up his equipment, a chest plate made of metal that glistened green, woven mail to go underneath to add protection to his chest and abdomen. He left his arms bare as well as his compact legs save for a pair of black shorts that fit his lower half like a second skin. He carried no weapons other than a half a foot long sword that hung mainly useless at his side.
“Report back in four moons.” G ordered one last time. He moved pass the youth without looking back.
Heero continued in the other direction. His cold gaze focused solely for the town ahead.

//Find him!!//
“Duo?”
//Find him!!//
“Duo!”
//Find him!!!!!!//
“DUO?!”
Duo jumped up in surprise looking about his surroundings anxiously. His wide violet eyes were cold and unseeing following the silent command echoing through his subconscious. He had to find him. Who was him? Where was `him'?
“Duo, for the guardians' sake, earths to Duo!” Hilde called in exasperation. She was a young miss by birth and a ruffian by nature. Her girlish figure was hidden expertly under her baggy clothes and her purple-black hair cut boyishly short. Her denim blue eyes glistered in almost amusement at her long term friend as he watched the boy look around nervously. When he didn't seem to recognize his surroundings, she frowned. “Duo? Duo!” She reached forward to grab the boy's hand. A gasp left her lips when her hand was suddenly caught in midair and held almost painfully tight. “Duo you're hurting my hand.” She said calmly.
Duo blinked slowly finally seeing his friend for who she was. “Ah, sorry, Hil.” He apologized sheepishly releasing the girl's hand. He ran his hands over the pair of baggy black pants he managed to steal from a stranger's clothesline. “Must've zoned out.” His hands continued to move until they finally came to rest on the black cuffs on either of his wrists.
“You're starting to do it more often, ya know.” Hilde pointed out. “Like when you first got here and you didn't know who in the worlds you were.”
“Uh…yeah. Maybe something has changed…”
“Like what? Are you still hearing that voice?”
“Yeah…says to `find him'. But who in the worlds is the him I'm looking for?”
“Do you want to find him?”
“No….I don't.”
“Why?”
“Because I know I'll do something terrible when I find him.” Duo fell silent then tilting his head so that his expressive eyes were hidden behind his chestnut bangs. His nimble fingers unconsciously reached for his braid wringing the yard long appendage worriedly.
“Duo, you can't keep running from whatever you're destined to do or be.” Hilde sighed.
“I know, Hil, but what if…what if I find this guy and…I don't know….kill him or something. I haven't killed anyone before! I don't want that guilt on my shoulders. EVER!”
“I don't know what to tell you.”
“I wish you did because I'm starting to get desperate.”

“Ah…you can hear me now, can't you boy?” The raspy baritone echoed through the dark nothingness of the voice's owner's whereabouts. Cold blue eyes stared unseeingly out into it seeing everything the owner wanted and more. “G is such a fool. The spell works no doubt but the closer He gets, the more Shinigami will be able to hear and obey me.” Lazily, the presence shifted bringing a hand up to wipe away some of the darkness as if it were a smudge.
The darkness smeared away from the spot leaving the chiseled face of the targeted youth.
“Hmmm…maybe I won't dispose of you after all.” The voice contemplated. Again the presence wiped at the darkness. This time revealing the chained form of a woman completely encased in light. All of her features were completely drowned out by the aluminous glow. What looked to be hair flowed around her head with unnatural winds.
“Banshee…” The single word was whispered causing the ethereal entity to open its eyes. Almost immediately, the being's glow turned an ominous black and its mouth opened wide in a soul shattering shriek.
Quickly the presence waved its hand silencing it. “Still willing to fight, I see. You are a most loyal pet. No matter, your ties to the Guardian of Hell will soon be severed.”
TBC……
A/N: UH….does anyone know what the hell is going on anymore? I surely don't. Kinda playing everything by ear…..Review
