A neko is born with different coloured eyes violet beening the rarest of all the colours. When a neko is born the parents will look after it much like a female animal looks after its young. Even though there are many species of nekos not all of them are friendly or known there are still many species of unknown nekos.
Treize closed the book and put it on the desk in his study rubbing the bridge of his nose. Treize walked over towards the couch in his study and laid down on it watching the flames dance like leave dancing the summer breeze. Treize slowly drifted off into a deep slumber were his dreams would plague him.
~~~~~~~~Treize’s Dream~~~~~~~
Walking through the forest alone the moon high in the sky shinning like a diamond. Treize walks deeper into the forest not looking where he is walking, coming to a clearing Treize sits down and looks at the forest around him hearing the sound of a snapping twig Treize turns around. There stands Duo his chestnut cat ears, tail, his violet eyes watching and searching Treize stand and smiles pulling Duo towards him lifting his hand Treize scratches behind Duo’s ears and Duo starts to purr. Treize leans down to kiss him.
~~~~~~~ Treize’s study~~~~~~~
Treize shoots awake and looks around the room finding that he is back in his study he gives a sigh and gets up off the couch.
“No more reading up on nekos.”
Mumbling to himself Treize slips out of the study and finds himself walking along to Duo’s room standing in the doorway Treize watches as Duo curls up into a tighter ball. Treize watched as Duo started to have a nightmare not sure on what to do Treize tried waking Duo up. One of Duo’s hands clawed Treize in the face cutting him across the cheek feeling the blood trickle down his cheek Treize tried again to wake Duo up. Treize woke Duo up by slapping him across the face Duo’s violet eyes slowly began to take in everything that was around him finally settling on Treize’s cut cheek.
“Did I do that?”
Treize looked at Duo and thought about what he would say but the look in Duo’s eyes dared him to lie.
“Yes but it’s my fault I shouldn’t of tried to wake you up but I was checking up on everyone to make sure you were safe and you were having a nightmare. So I tried to wake you up and you clawed me simple as that.”
Duo looked at Treize with wide eyes not many people were stupid or brave enough to wake a neko during a nightmare. Duo took a look at Treize’s cheek and felt guilty the man had only been trying to help.
“If you want I could heal those cuts I wont leave a scar either.”
Treize looked at Duo his eyes becoming wide Duo was offering to heal him because of a mistake he made but then again if he hadn’t of tried to wake Duo up then maybe he wouldn’t of got the scratches on his face to begin with.
“H-h-how is that possible?”
Duo looked at Treize and began to think of a simple way to answer it when he finally found a way to answer it he looked at Treize and smiled.
“Nekos have a special ability that allows us to heal other people but many people don’t know that and plus I feel bad about them scratches you were only trying to help.”
Treize looked at Duo and found that he believed the neko if Duo had wanted to kill him it would have been quick not a slow, painful death. Treize gave a nod and Duo pulled him onto the bed close to him.
“Hold still this might sting a little.”
Before Treize had time to answer Duo’s tongue was licking at the blood off his cheek. Treize started to have thoughts of what that tongue could do to him # No I can’t think of him like that! He probably has a mate or someone I can’t force myself onto him it’s not right. It also might destroy any chance of trust or friendship with this beautiful creature.# Duo’s tongue was working it’s way up to the cut when Treize felt Duo’s tongue on the cut he winced a little. The cuts started to sting when Duo had finished the cuts were completely gone Duo gave Treize a smile.
“There you go no more cuts left.”
Treize ran his hand over the cheek were Duo had scratched him and felt that they had gone. Treize looked at Duo who was smiling at him and gave a smile back Treize’s hand was still on the cheek that Duo had scratched. Treize found himself lost in Duo’s eyes.
“I suppose I had better go don’t want anyone to worry about me sleep well Duo.”
“Yeah I suppose you are right and please try to sleep and I will try to sleep as well.
Treize walked to the doorway and looked at Duo for one last time before opening the door and walking out softly closing the door after him. Treize walked back to his bedroom and walked in settling down on the bed he closed his eyes and found himself drifting off into sleep. When Treize awoke he could smell something beening cooked grumbling about ungodly hours and people beening evil and waking him up. After a shower and getting dressed Treize walked downstairs to find Zechs, Quatre, Rashid, Heero, Trowa and Wufei sitting at the island in the middle of his kitchen when Treize looked again he couldn’t see Duo. Duo had woken up early which didn’t surprise him beening in a new environment his body couldn’t adjust to it so getting up out of bed Duo headed towards the shower and got a wash making sure that his hair was in a tight braid Duo made his way downstairs and into the kitchen looking through the kitchen Duo began to take eggs, bacon, sausages, cheese, bread, beans, mushrooms and tomatoes out of the fridge and bread bin. Duo gave a smile and began to get to work. Zechs woke up to the smell of bacon beening cooked stretching lazily he got out of bed and got dressed walking downstairs he came across Quatre and Rashid making their way downstairs when the got into the kitchen they were shocked to see Duo in the kitchen cooking. By the time everyone was awake and downstairs the smell of food was floating through the house. Duo was quite happy cooking in all the years of him beening alive he had always loved to cook no matter how small or large the meal Duo turned around to see Treize walking in he gave a smile and went back to what he was doing Quatre looked at Treize with a knowing look, Zechs looked at Treize then back to Duo and waggled his eyebrows Treize sighed and took his seat on the island. When Duo was finished he served everything up onto plates Everyone watched as Duo took the plates from the kitchen and into the dinning room and put them into the middle of the table giving a smile Duo turned around.
“Well breakfast is served.”
Looking at the food that had been prepared Treize, Wufei, Quatre, Zechs, Trowa, Heero and Rashid gave a smile of thanks to Duo when they had began o help themselves Duo went into the kitchen to start cleaning up. When he came back in he was glad to see everyone eating and enjoying what had been cooked he gave a smile and disappeared upstairs to take a shower.
“ I wonder where Duo learned to cook so good food.”
Treize se down his knife and fork and looked around the room.
“I’m not sure but I do know he can heal other people by licking them.”
Zechs gave a snicker but waited for Treize to continue with what he was saying.
“Last night I couldn’t sleep so I went to my study and done some reading when I finished I went around the house and checked up on everyone making sure they were ok.”
Everyone thought about it and it was true Treize did like to make sure people were ok so giving a nod of their head they waited for him to continue.
“Anyway Duo was having a nightmare and I made the mistake of trying to wake him up anyway he clawed me on the cheek, when he woke up he felt bad for what he done and offered to heal the cuts when I asked him he told me all he had to do was lick them and they would heal, he was right they did heal and they haven’t left a scar at all the only way you know they had happened was by me telling you.”
Zechs looked at Treize with wide eyes, Wufei quirked a eyebrow and Quatre went into mother hen mode.
“Why didn’t you tell us right away! I mean you would of needed some injections or something and he healed them with his tongue where could that have been!”
During Quatre’s ramblings Treize had got up and took another plate out and put food on it.
“Treize what are you doing?”
Everyone looked at Treize with hawk eyes watching every move he made.
“ I’m making a plate of food for Duo I get the weird feeling that he hasn’t eaten yet I mean he literally ran from the room when we started to eat and that is what’s worrying me.”
“What about if he has eaten?”
“I’m agreeing with Treize when he had finished cooking he cleaned up but I haven’t seen him come back in to eat.”
As everyone thought about it Duo was going through a painful transformation giving out a scream that could shatter glass. Treize and everyone heard the scream and ran upstairs to find out if Duo was alright. When they got there they weren’t met by Duo but by a fully grown panther.
“My god Duo is that you?”
The panther gave a nod of it’s head and everyone looked at each other with wide eyes. Treize looked at the panther sat on the floor realized something and ran to the study to get a book. Treize ran back to were everyone was at and began to read the passage aloud.
“ A neko has the ability to change into any animal he or she may choose the larger the animal the more pain he or she will go through also a neko will change form to prevent anyone mating or claiming with them.”
Duo looked at Treize and made a gesture with his head Treize reread the passage again Treize’s eyes widened when he figured out what was wrong.
“Ah.”
“Why do I get the feeling you know what is going on.”
“Well because I do.”
“Well tell us then I really would like to know why there is a panther sat on you’re floor staring at us.”
Duo couldn’t help but laugh inwardly the only person that seemed to have any idea what was going on was Treize and he seemed determined not to tell anyone.
“Well I am trying to find a polite way to put it.”
~Just tell them.~
Treize looked around and couldn’t find where the voice was coming from. He locked eyes with Duo and realized that it was Duo who he was talking with not some strange voice.
~Just clear you’re mind and relax then think of what you want to say to me.~
Zechs watched as Treize and Duo were still locked in eye contact not blinking or breaking it. Treize took a deep breathe and cleared his mind.
~D-d-duo?~
Duo couldn’t help but give that small nod of his head Treize watched as Duo stood up and walked away from them.
“You know you really should learn to keep you’re thought blocked.”
With that Duo walked away leaving some people confused but one Treize embarrassed.
