It Happened to Kagome

A true story from her diary

 

This is from a book I read but with an Inuyasha twist. The book's true name is It Happened to Nancy. Nancy wasn't her real name but it is really a sad story. It is originally edited by Beatrice Sparks, Ph.D. who edited Go Alice. It is in the form of a diary but I am going to fill in the blanks with possible situations which would cause Kagome to write the entry. Any ways I am also going to change the names so it is more Inuyasha-ish.

 

Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha which belongs to Rumiko Takahashi and I do not own It Happened to Nancy which diary belongs to “Nancy” but the book belongs to Beatrice M. Sparks.

 

 

 

I'm in a nightmare. I'm going to wake up

any minute now. I've got to. It repeats over and

over! I can see Dr. Bankotsu's face with his eyes all glazed

up, and Mom looking like she's marble statue. We

can sense something is really wrong when Dr. Bankotsu

keeps telling us how great we are and stuff, like he

can't really get out what he wants to say. Then he

slowly tells me that my blood samples have come back,

and I have . . . the HIV virus! His mouth keeps moving,

but I can't hear the words anymore. I can't feel; I can't think.

From far off in the distance, I can hear myself sobbing.

I've go to face it . . . I'm not going to have a career,

or a husband or a family. My heart is bursting. I AM

GOING TO DIE . . .

This is a work of nonfiction/fiction. It is base in the actual diary

of a teenage girl who was infected with the AIDS virus

as a result of date rape. (At the same time I will add additional information to give

possible actions of her life that are not told. So there fore I think it is fiction. )

It is highly personal and specified chronicle,

and as such, I hope it will prove insight into

the highly increasingly complicated world in which we live. Names and

places have been changed at the request of `Kagome's” parents.

Foreword

 

Precious little fourteen-year-old Kagome's tragic battle

with Aids becomes all the more tragic because of her

extremely lowered natural immune system, which

allowed the virus to so quickly ravage her delicate

body. Ordinarily the latency period from infection to

symptoms for AIDS is considered to be from five to

ten years.

The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates

that, to date, “At least 10 to 12million adults have

been infected with HIV.” I worry about all the beautiful,

innocent young Kagomes.
