Something sleeps deep inside me

Its only purpose is to kill

Every day I live in fear

That I will wake up surrounded by corpses

My hands covered on blood

Men, woman, children

No one spared

Monster

Will I see the faces of my friends and comrades among the dead

Do I even deserve friends

Is this thing an abnormality

Or my true self

Monster

I have killed before

The ones that ran, the ones that begged for mercy

I slaughtered them all

Just for the pleasure of seeing them die

Once I came back to myself I saw the faces of the people I was trying to protec

Their eyes were wide with fright

They should be scared

I think back to when I was a child

Monster

The humans threw stones at me and called me monster

And now I can't help but think

Were they right?
