It was a cold day in Tokyo. Kagome sat in her room in deep thought.

Kagome's thoughts

Tomorrow's Valentines Day and I don't know what to get Inuyasha. Maybe I should go to the futail era and ask Sango. What if my mom says no because of rain? Why did it have to rain today?

Kagome, hello said Eri, let's go to the mall.

Uh, do we have to go today?

Why are you sick, said Eri?

No, I just don't want to go.

Okay, said Eri, maybe tomorrow.

Yeah, tomorrow.

Kagome waited in her room for about 10 minutes. Just long enough for Eri to leave. Then she rushed downstairs to find her mom.

Mom, mom, where are you, said Kagome?

I'm right here, in the kitchen.

Oh, said Kagome as she walked toward her mother, can I go out?

Didn't Eri just leave, why didn't you go with her, said Kagome's mom?

Uh, she was, she was going downtown. I didn't want to go.

Okay, said Kagome's moms giving her a curious look, just don't be gone to long.

Thanks mom, bye.

Kagome rushed to the closet to get her coat and umbrella then was out the door.
