Peppercat... I need you right now.&nb sp;Please, don't be gone!

The new arrivals sat down next t o the group as they were fil ed in& nbsp;on the situation.
"Alright alright, let& nbsp;me get this straight," DC spoke up, ;trying to clear up his head. "You and&n bsp;a
bunch of other kids got together&n bsp;when the attack started, and you're plann ing on making it to
the main saucer , and blowing them up, right?"
"Yup,&nbs p;that's pretty much it!" Ikki said with ;renewed energy. "Alright, are you in?"
"You bet! This is gonna be epic!"
" Not so fast," Akia interrupted, "What makes&n bsp;you guys any different from the better&nb sp;
equipped, better trained Select Corps? Wou ldn't it have been safer to go with ;them? Or better
yet, stay at home? ;Your parents wil be pretty worried abo ut you."
"Some of us were just caug ht out at a bad time, like me," Ikk i said, remembering his
robattle. "I was just having a robattle when it happened . But now that I'm here, and so muc h
closer than everyone else, I have ;a chance to stop this from continuing a ny more!"
"I joined in to get a&nbs p;scoop on this story, the exclusive, before& nbsp;anybody else!" Erika jumped in
enthusias tical y.
"I'm kinda stuck to these two idiots," Windsail said, almost bored as&n bsp;she cut through one of
the tower's&n bsp;legs.
"Hey, Tin-can," Metabee said with&n bsp;a sneer. "How many times have you wo n in a fight against
me? Come on,&n bsp;say it!"
"Oi, Tin-can, that's my lin e! And you've always had some kind of&nb sp;advantage!"

"Being stronger aint no a dvantage!"
"Then let's go, you and me,&n bsp;head-to-head, no interruptions!"
"Fine!"
"Fine!"
Both medabots glared at each oth er with terrifying looks as they brought ;up there weapons,
Windsail having her s word and a newly transformed scept re wh ile Metabee brought his guns
up, gleamin g against the light of a nearby street&n bsp;light
"Stop fighting you two!" Ikki cut in, trying to separate them. "Remember&nb sp;our mission!"
"We wil as soon a s you move your big head out of the way of our match!" Metabee shouted
back.
"Watch what you say about me!"&nb sp;Ikki yel ed back as he then joined&nb sp;the argument. Fists and
medaparts went&nbs p;flying in a jumble everywhere as they each fought each other with
everything t hey had.
"Break it up you guys!" Ak ia exclaimed. The heap on the floor inst antly separated as Akia and
Aokshi appea red in the middle, separating them. "We're&nb sp;fighting the rogue medabots, beating
each& nbsp;other up comes later!"
"So you're s aying we stil have to fight each o ther?" Erika asked, suddenly becoming very unsure of whether the new arrivals were&nb sp;a good thing. Chrome was just sitting ;on a car tyre,
watching this whole ;sceptical He had a faraway look in his& nbsp;white eyes, almost like he wasn't
e ntirely there.
"Hey, what's with your me dabot?" Ikki asked. "He seems a bit too& nbsp;quiet, even for a medabot,
and he&n bsp;doesn't look like he's entirely focused. Wasn't he making a whole lot of noise&nb sp;just
now?"
"Yeah, he sometimes gets&n bsp;like that," DC said, catching Chrome befo re he absent mindedly fel
off the& nbsp;tyre. "His medal, it's pretty weird. It& nbsp;can't handle the stress of too much ;power.
Whenever he gets too tired, or&n bsp;he pumps himself up too much like in the last fight, he blacks
out. I'v e been looking for a mechanic or program mer who can fix him, but nobody seems&nb sp;up
to the job."
"So his medal's& nbsp;defective?" Metabee asked. Ikki punched the&n bsp;back of his head hard.
"Don't be&nbs p;rude Metabee! Sorry about that. He didn't&n bsp;mean to..."
"I can speak for myself, jerk!"

Akia chuckled slightly as s he watched the two of them battle each&n bsp;other again, resigning
herself to the&nbs p;fact that this would be very common. "Yo, boss, we've busted up three of this tower's legs. Just say the word and the last one's
gone!" Windsail said&nbs p;cheerily.
"Great! Now we just have to& nbsp;cal the others and tel them to lure the Robo-Emperors
upstream." Ikki&nbs p;brought out something like a smal Nin tendo DS from his pocket and opened
it up. He pressed a few buttons as ;it turned on and the screen lit up.&nbs p;"Hel o? Is anyone there?
Ginkai? Zuru? " Ginkai's face appeared on the screen w ith a war torn background.
"Ikki? Boy am I glad to see you!"
"Oi,&nb sp;how about someone who's reliable?" Windsail&nbs p;cut in. DC then joined in the conversa tion,
but only when the connection start ed to disappear. A few more words and&nb sp;the other group
confirmed that they w ould go upstream. Ikki closed the Nintendo&nb sp;like object and looked out
at the&nbs p;river.
"Alright guys, the others are g onna come running this way soon. The Rob o-Emperors wil be
chasing them the ;whole time. We have to drop the tower&n bsp;on them as soon as they arrive and&n bsp;
push it under the water. We can't&nb sp;wait for them to get close to us,&nbs p;otherwise they'l just
dodge the tower , so we have to toss it early. Too& nbsp;early though, and we'l splatter everyon e
else! We have to time it perfectl y." The group waited by the tower as&nbs p;Komandog kept melting
down the last to wer leg, waiting for the others to arriv e. Just then, far off in the distance,&n bsp;
dust was bil owing into the sky.&nbs p;As the rising dust got closer, Ikki sp otted the medafighters
and their medabots&nbs p;running from a horde of Robo-Emperors and&n bsp;Mega-Emperors. Zuru was
sitting on Tyrel& nbsp;beetlele, holding Rok's limp form and Ko ji looked like he was barely conscious on Sumilidon. The remaining Robo-Emperors were al badly damaged in various places,&nb sp;but
the Mega-Emperors were barely even&nbs p;scratched.
Ikki grabbed Windsail's shoulder ;firmly.
"Windsail, I have an important mission for you."
"You can count on ;me, unlike a certain annoying yel ow ro bot we know..."
"Not the point. I n eed you to fly down there and transform& nbsp;into the biggest, heaviest parts
possibl e and get the enemy's attention."
"Geez, that's kinda hard without my usual part s. This body doesn't have very many heav y
stuff."
"Please, just try it. Mak e sure you stand at a spot where th e tower can't hit you once it slides&nbs p;
down the river bank. And stay as far away from the enemy as possible." "Alright, I'l ..."

"Just go!" Without hesitation, Windsail flew down the steep&nbs p;flood banks to land just in front of&n bsp;
the fleeing group. The tower began s lowly, ominously lurching forward as the grou p began
pushing it. The Robo-Emperors al charged their Death-Break mouth blasts,&nbs p;planning on
obliterating Windsail as she&nb sp;turned to jel y, then into a green&nb sp;tank.
"Eh? What's little Ikki planning?"&n bsp;Akia asked as she saw the glint in&n bsp;his eyes.
"Al Weapon type medabots& nbsp;can alter their enemies weight with thei r gravity deathbreak
attack, making them ;useful against heavy tank and knight type&nb sp;medabots. If Windsail
transforms into a&nb sp;tank, they'l al instinctively charge&nbs p;up their head medaparts to slow her down."
"So how's that goo... Oh now&n bsp;I see!" Akia smiled at the clever ta ctic and Aokshi nodded his
head in acknowledgement of Ikki's skil s. DC looked&n bsp;at them al confused.
"Hey people,&n bsp;don't leave me in the dark here!" He said looking at the col apsing tower&nb sp;and
the Mega-Emperors preparing to fire.&n bsp;Just then, the tower completely col apsed , narrowly
avoiding the other medafighters&nb sp;and Windsail. The Weapon type medabots al& nbsp; fired at once at
just the ins tant that the tower fel , crushing the&n bsp;rogue medabots as the tower's weight
amplified. The whole tower slid down the&nbs p;river flood banks, taking the protesting me dabots
with it, into the river itself.&n bsp;A huge splash erupted from the river,&nbs p;spraying everyone in murky
water. The whole force of Medabots disappeared along wit h the radio tower, to the murky
dep ths below, never to be seen again. Al&nb sp; that remained were the marks, a few& nbsp;twisted pieces
of metal, and a few& nbsp;ejected medals. Zuru clambered up the ri ver bank toward the group, with
his ;friends fol owing close behind. Koji was&nbs p;being supported by Arc-Dash and Tyrel beetl e and
Zuru himself was holding Roks ;in his arms.
Zuru dropped Roks on the floor in front of where the tower&nb sp;used to stand, almost as tender
as&nb sp;a mother would act towards her baby.
"Ikki, we have to meet up with the& nbsp;others, now!"
"Don't worry, the plan&nbs p;was to meet them once we'd gotten rid& nbsp;of the Mega-Emperors..."
"No Ikki, Roks& nbsp;is nearly finished. I need to get h im and his medal healed by Karin and&nbs p;
Neutranurse. If we don't, he might die !"
"Whoa, whoa, what just happened?" DC& nbsp;butted in. "That medabot's model is pret ty scary, but
something did this to ;it? Just what exactly were you fighting?!"&n bsp;
"Just about everything? That doesn't matt er, we have to go now!"
"Chil ;out dude, getting ticked off isn't going&nbs p;to save Roks-"

"Don't talk to me like you know how I feel!" Zuru&n bsp;yel ed back at him, anger fil ing&nb sp;his
eyes and voice. DC backed away,&n bsp;knowing that things would get real ugly&n bsp;fast, despite being
the older one be tween them. Erika stared at Zuru, barely ;believing it.
"Zuru..." Zuru glanced at ;Erika, and immediately caught his breath as& nbsp;he saw the fear in her
eyes. "Zuru... I've never seen you like this&nb sp;before..." Zuru looked down at the floor&n bsp;in shame.
"Guys... Sorry. I'm just& nbsp;scared that I might lose my best fr iend. I know I shouldn't be
shouting&nbs p;at al of you but I couldn't help it."
"It's OK," DC said scratching ;the back of his head. "I'd want to ;kil everything that moves if
something did that to Chrotojil. I understand tha t feeling to protect him perfectly. Either&nb sp;way,
your medabot needs some extensive&nbs p;care. We have to get help soon and&nbs p;if what you guys
have told me is& nbsp;true, Miss Nae or whatever is our b est bet."
The group set off at a&nb sp;sprint towards the 24 hour hopmart, hoping to get their before it would
be&nb sp;too late for Roks.

"H ello? Miss Nae, Tak..."
"Karin! Are you& nbsp;alright?"
The group of medafighters arri ved at the twenty four hour hopmart to&n bsp;see the devastation
that was left. T he store itself was on its last legs&nbs p;with bul et holes riddled through it. The car
park had bomb craters scattered& nbsp;every two feet, the few parked cars ;were completely
destroyed and smashed skul&n bsp;s littered the ground along with a f ew medaparts. An
unrecognisable arm medapart& nbsp;was poking out of a truck window. "Whoa, it looks like hurricane Katrina sw ept through this place in a bad mood.&nb sp;Where is
everybody?" Ikki and Koji kn ocked him out of the way in a frenz y to get past.
"Karin!" The store w as stil just as barren as before.
"Aw man, we came too early!" Ikki w hined as he flopped to the ground in&nbs p;exhaustion. Koji
nearly col apsed, clutchin g his side in pain.
"No... Ikki, wh at if they..."
"We're right here you&nbs p;guys." Both boys immediately got up at ;the sound of such a mel ifluous
vo ice. Karin and the others emerged from t he broken down store. Medafighters and
m edabots streamed out to greet the people ;who had returned, and to be introduced to the

newcomers. Zuru ran up to&nb sp;Miss Nae clutching Roks in his arms w hile Ikki and Koji went like
obedient&nb sp;puppies towards Karin.
"Miss Nae, Roks&nbs p;is in trouble! You've gotta help him, or else..."
"Calm down Zuru. I've got&nb sp;more patients already, I can't focus on&nb sp;fixing any of them if you
scream ;at me."
"More patients?"
The arrivals&n bsp;entered the wrecked store to see what&nbs p;was going on. Inside the smal cramped
shop lying on a table, a Metal&nbs p;Beetle was stretched out with its parts&nbs p;showing. Henry was
sitting down in a&n bsp;smal corner of the room and Spyke&n bsp;was bent over hiding his face at the
counter. Sloan was tuning up his m edabot with a solemn, but Totalizer looked&nb sp;beyond repair
in his condition. Krosserdog was on the floor with his medal ej ected next to him.
"Spyke, what happened ," Ikki asked him looking at the state&n bsp;of them. Spyke didn't respond.
"Spyke,&nb sp;what's going on?" Spyke let out a tin y whimper.
"It's al my fault..." "What's your fault? Spyke, what happened here? And why aren't you with Samantha?" ;
Spyke responded with another whimper and&nbs p;a lone tear-drop dropping onto the counter& nbsp;top
"If I hadn't been there, the&nb sp;boss would've escaped, and she would be&nb sp;safe..."
"Spyke..."
"They got the bos s!" Spyke whimpered before he burst into ;tears. "I came back to rescue
them,&nbs p;but I ended up getting in the way ;again! She risked her life to let us&nb sp;al escape! That
was the first t ime she chose not to run away! Ever!&nbs p;She wasn't even thinking of what
might 've happened to herself, just how to pro tect al of us... and now she's gon e!"
"Spyke, I can's understand you, who& nbsp;kidnapped Samantha?"
"The guys in the&nb sp;main spaceship, that's who! And Peppercat's&nbs p;medal is destroyed so she's on
her&nbs p;own!"
"Oi, oi, explain this properly!" ;Windsail yel ed. "I don't know what you 're talking about!"
Spyke pul ed himself together and started explaining how they&nbs p;got in a robattle with Team
Fiyun,&nbs p;and how they then sent three Mega-Emperors& nbsp;against them. He told them how once ;
everyone worked together, including Team Fiy un itself, they beat the Mega-Emperors, but&n bsp;at
the cost of Peppercat's medal whi ch was completely destroyed, even the medalia s which was
found later cracked in half and leaking a green fluid. As soon& nbsp;as the Mega-Emperors were
destroyed, the mother ship attacked them with giant fl aming skul s. Everyone was no match

for it, and a skul almost chomped on Spyke. but Samantha sacrificed herself&nb sp;and pushed him
out of the way, g etting eaten herself instead. The skul then flew back up to the mother ship,&nb sp;
accompanied by Samantha's protesting screams.&n bsp;After that, Team Fiyun was nowhere to&nbs p;be
seen. Ikki tapped his foot as he thought of a solution. Up until then, he had never thought
about how to& nbsp;bring the massive saucer down to the&nbs p;earth.
"Don't worry, we'l save her,"& nbsp;Ikki said. "Right guys?" Before anyone c ould reply, Koji noticed
that Henry had& nbsp;disappeared
"Hey, where's Henry?"
Just&n bsp;then the room exploded into a cloud of smoke, covering everything in the thick&nb sp;smog.
Everybody coughed and spluttered as& nbsp;they either shielded their eyes or tried to peer through
the grey smoky cur tain.
"He won't help you to win aga inst this enemy." Everyone looked around them selves for the
voice that spoke out ;of the air.
"Who said that? Show y ourselves!" Koji screamed. A white flash tore through the air.
"With my vermilion&nbs p;cape bil owing in the cosmic breeze,I have heroical y travel ed across
stars&n bsp;,too numerous to count, to arrive at ;this majestic planet you cal 'Earth'.I ;am...SPACE
MEDAFIGHTER X!"
A cloud of&n bsp;smoke exploded in the room, forcing every one to cough and cover their eyes. Once& nbsp;
the smoke cleared, Space Medafighter X&n bsp;was standing right in the middle of the crowd.
Instead of his normal golden& nbsp;mask, it was a golden mask with a&n bsp;red scar running through it.
He was& nbsp;dressed in a copy of Space medafighter&n bsp;X's suit, but it was slightly green instead. It
looked improvised from a rub ber robo outfit without the goofy antennae&nb sp;and not covering his
head, seeing as& nbsp;both suits looked almost exactly the sam e. His cape was green this time
ins tead of red.
"Space Medafighter X!" Ever yone shouted out at once.
"Space who?"&n bsp;Aokshi asked confused.
"Space Medafighter ;X," Akiana informed. "He was a legendary&nbs p;medafighter who first made his
dÃ&co py;but nine or ten years ago, if the&nbs p;rumours are true about him being Hikaru&nbs p;Agata.
"So coool !" DC said with shining eyes.
"He's a creep..." Chrome s aid slowly backing away.
"You may cal&nb sp; me a creep, but I may be the&nb sp;last chance at victory you'l ever ge t!" A red KBT
type medabot stepped out from behind him, glowing slightly orange. Everyone stared in awe
at the fami liar metal face and Chrome sparked a few times as his system almost crashed

from the power emanating from the medab ot. A red KBT type with two large h orns on its
chest and head and a&nb sp;pair of scary looking guns on its arm s. Each arm had three gun barrels
facing forward and sideways. Its feet ha d a similar design. It had a blue v isor for vision.
Medawatches rang out wi th data.
Arcbeetle: Medabot Corporation&nbs p;
Medafighter: Space Medafighter X
Speciality: Shoots fireballs
Medal type:&nb sp;Kabuto
Signature: Prominence beam Arc-Dash stared at what looked almost exac tly like him for a moment.
"Whoa... ;this is THE Arcbeetle, the medabot with ;the strongest attack in existence! There has
never been a single medabot registered& nbsp;with an attack stronger than the Promine nce, and
this Arcbeetle is the same ;one which competed in the last Robattle ;Championship! He's total y
legendary!" Arc-D ash jumped towards Arcbeetle and began rapidl y shaking his hand. "Oh
man, you do n't understand how pumped I am to meet&n bsp;you! I'm like your number one fan!"
Arcbeetle looked at his clone, confused at the sudden popularity compared to his ;usual cold
reception.
"Ignore him," Gin kai said grabbing Arc-Dash away from the ;pair. "He's just been watching
the tape from the tournament from two years ago& nbsp;a lot. I promise he won't cause any
trouble.
"On the contrary," Space Medafighter X added. "If what I've heard ;is true, then he'l have just
enou gh power to keep up with me, for ab out a few minutes maybe."
"Hey, don't&nb sp;underestimate us! We could take on a clown like you any day!" Ikki grabbed Ginkai's shoulder tightly.
"Ginkai, he mig ht look ridiculous, but he's way stronger&nbs p;then al of us combined. Don't anger&n bsp;
him."
"That's right. You've got spir it kid, and you have some guts to c hal enge me of al people. I
c ommend you for it. But you have a l ong way to go in terms of learning some humility."
"I don't need some mask& nbsp;wearing weirdo to teach me any lessons!& nbsp;You think you're so tough
with that medabot huh? Let me tel you somet hing buddy, this here's Arcbeetle Dash, the&n bsp;
upgraded form of that bucket of bolt s. You can't win against me!"

"Gink ai, please stop," Miss Nae said seeing w here this was going. "The whole city is& nbsp;in danger
while you two fight. We&n bsp;can't waste time over a worthless fight." Ginkai ignored her, bringing
his medawa tch up.
"Then you guys go on ahead& nbsp;and I'l fol ow once I finish this guy!"
"Oi, fatty, enough's enough!" ;Windsail cut in. "When Miss Nae gives o ut an order, chumps
like you are me ant to fol ow it!"
"What did you&nb sp;cal me?"
"Cool it you two," Mis s Nae said. "Ginkai, don't get so angry& nbsp;over smal things."
"Yes ma'am," Gi nkai said dejectedly.
"And Windsail, don't&nb sp;always act so rude to people!" Windsail&nb sp;looked like she broke into
ridiculously&nb sp;exaggerated tears.
"I'M SORRY MISS NAE!&nb sp;IT WON'T HAPPEN AGAIN, WAAAAA!"
"There's&n bsp;no need to cry about it..."
"BUT&nbs p;I MADE YOU MAD! I'M MEANT TO PROTECT&n bsp;YOU, NOT GET IN YOUR WAY!" Miss Nae& nbsp;
kept trying to calm the blubbering Windsail down while Ikki and Metabee just&nbs p;watched,
wondering where the tears were&nbs p;actual y coming from. The masked medafighte r started
speaking again.
"Listen closel y. The main saucer has been hovering ove r this store for a while now, and w e
have to take it down to end this whole war. None of you have flying& nbsp;medabots to get up to it,
so A rcbeetle and Arc-Dash have to shoot it d own instead. Ginkai, ready your medabot!"
"Huh? O-ok." Before anyone could think thro ugh the dangers of the plan, Arc-Dash an d
Arcbeetle were already charging up the ir head canons.
"Remember you two," SMX& nbsp;started saying. "Aim slightly to the rig ht so that it gets hit away
from&nb sp;us. It should not land on top of ;us under any circumstances!"
"But won't ;Samantha be injured?" Spyke said.
"Fal ing from that height... it's possible," Zuru& nbsp;said as he tried coming up with a&n bsp;solution.
"Don't worry, I've seen another ship similar to this before," Space Med afighter X said. "That
thing's armour is thicker than the whole convenience store.&nb sp;Nobody would die if that thing
fel&nb sp;. Unless... we accidental y hit her w ith the Prominence..."
"What!?" Spyke screame d out. "You're gonna kil the boss!"&nbs p;

"No matter. Prepare for fire!"
"A rc-Dash, charge up your own, appendix attack" both medabot's horns lit up.
"Behold!"& nbsp;Arc-Dash began yel ing. "The power of&nb sp;the sun, the Pil ar of Fire, it's,&nb sp;The
Prominence!" Arc-Dash shot out a massive purple laser canon from between his&n bsp;horns into
the side of the saucer,&n bsp;almost flipping the whole thing over in&n bsp;one go.
"Wrong," Space Medafighter X ;said. "Your attack is cal ed the append ix, not the prominence.
You cannot hope& nbsp;to imitate the real thing! Initiate, the power of the midnight sun, the Pil ;ar of
fire, its... The Prominence!"&n bsp;
Arcbeetle added a bright yel ow beam that was twice as large to the mix as the blasts mixed
together forming&nb sp;a super beam. A massive chunk of the& nbsp;flying saucer flew off, disintegrating
u nder the heat and pressure. The remaining&nbs p;saucer went crashing down to the ground,&nb sp;
burning up as it made its way to the ground.
"Take cover!" Akiana scream ed as the saucer looked like it was ;about to crash on top of
them. Eve ryone ducked back into the convenience store, hiding under counters and such. The
saucer's terrifying form swooped over everyone's heads, crash landing in the car park,&n bsp;
destroying what little was left of i t. The ground shook as if angered as&nbs p;nearby buildings al
started col apsin g. A section of the store's roof caved&n bsp;in completely as everyone scrambled to get out again. Final y after an etern ity of running and terror, everything was&nbs p;silent again.
Emerging from various hiding& nbsp;spots, the group peeked out to see the saucer crashed very
close to them.&n bsp;Multiple city blocks were crushed under t he saucer's main body, with a large
hole serving as an exit facing the grou p. Everyone turned to face each other, n odded their
heads, and leaving their cov er completely, stepped into the open to enter the saucer causing
everyone so muc h grief. Entering the place, that would end it al .
"I can't believe we're& nbsp;final y here," Ikki said. "It took the whole day to get here alive, and&nbs p;
now we're going to end it. Once a nd for al !"
"Yeah, it's time for&n bsp;a robattle they'l never forget!" Metabee shouted.
"It's payback time for what&nb sp;they did to Totalizer!" Sloan said, cracki ng his knuckles.
"The sacrifices made we re not in vain," Space Medafighter X sai d suddenly getting a dark
atmosphere aro und him.
"I'm tired of this nonsen se, this guy needs a serious lesson." Ak ianna said rol ing her shirt
sleeves&nbs p;up.
"Everybody, don't die!" Koji said gripping his father's katana harder.
"You&nbs p;should be worrying the most about that,&nbs p;'mister hero'!" Ginkai said with a grin.&nb sp;

"Alright Chrome! Lets kick some Meta- butt!" DC yel ed waving his fist around.
"Right on dude! This is epic!" Rin tarou said jumping around with way too m uch energy.
"Let's see what we can do, Blackbeetle," Kam said with a sinister&nb sp;smirk.
"If things get rough out ;there, don't forget that I never lose!" ;Banjo said holding a fist up.
"The ;shots I'm getting here are kil er!" Eri ka said holding up a camera.
Miss N ae and Karin looked at everyone as they& nbsp;got even more heated up and they bo th
couldn't help but worry about them.&n bsp;
"I hope they'l be alright," Karin&n bsp;said with a worried expression.
"Don't&nb sp;worry about them, worry about yourself." M iss Nae reassured her. "It's going to ge t
pretty dangerous, but those guys are&n bsp;monsters when it comes to robattles. They 'l never lose
to someone like this ." Karin smiled a little as her confiden ce came back slightly. Karin looked
down at the smal Tak who was smiling&n bsp;with a huge grin.
"Don't worry Kary, I'm here to protect you, so you do n't have to worry about a thing!"
" Oh, so sweet! And by the way, my na me is Karin."
"Oh, sorry for getting&nbs p;your name mixed up," Tak said with his face going red. "It's just that
th is is the first time I've met you, and I'm not very good with names. I ;never forget a friends
face though!" "Stop right there!" an explosion sounded through the air, almost deafening the medafighters as they covered their ears. Smoke and dust blocked the area in front of them.
As soon as the dust cleared, five medabots stood there in front&n bsp;of them, blocking the path.
The firs t one was a large green medabot with&nbs p;massive muscle like medaparts. He looked more like a brick wal painted green& nbsp;than a medabot and it held a sword& nbsp;twice the size of a
smal chil d over its shoulder. The second medabot was a female medabot resembling a Bee, with black and yel ow patterns al &n bsp;over it. Its arms had two stingers o n the top and a pair of
see th rough wings were on its back. Its head&n bsp;was shaped in a metal ic copy of&nbs p;Cleopatra's
hairstyle with a gold circlet.& nbsp;Its rear stinger had the black and yel ow stripes al over them
with&n bsp;one large purple stripe in the middle.&nb sp;
The third medabot looked like a samur ai warrior wearing a white robe with blu e hems, almost
like the medabot Seaslug& nbsp;once used. The fourth medabot was an&nbs p;almost exact copy of
Rokusho while the fifth medabot was a modified Robo-Emperor.&n bsp;
"Who are you guys?" Koji asked impat iently. "You're in our way! We're trying ;to save
Samantha and shut this place&nb sp;down, and if you stop us you'l be considered our enemy too!"

"Trying&nb sp;to stop you?" The large green medabot ;said almost laughing. "No my friend, you've& nbsp;
got it al wrong!"
"We're not& nbsp;here to stop you," The samurai said.&nbs p;"We're here to kill you!"
Everybody bu t SMX, Akia and their medabots stumbled backwards a bit as they heard that.
"These are dangerous enemies," Aokshi said. "It would be best for us to handle it."
"Who do you think you are?" Me tabee shouted to Aokshi. "You've got friends& nbsp;you know! We
can help!"
"He's right," SMX said. "They are al strong.& nbsp;On our own we wont stand a chance&n bsp;against
these enemies. Everyone is necess ary." The bee medabot was floating in mi d-air with her
pure black eyes looking&n bsp;half slit in boredom.
"Hey guys, can I play with them a little before t hey die? I never get to have any fu n!"
"Don't worry, you can have as m uch fun as you like!" The Rokusho lookin g medabot said as
he brandished his ;sword. The Robo-Emperor roared out in fury&n bsp;at the trespassers.
"My brother, this&nbs p;is our territory," The large medabot said&n bsp;with his Jamaican accent. "Ya can't
just waltz up and take it man!"
"Li ke this we're gonna have a fight on ;our hands," Roks said as he prepared to fight.
Instantly afterwards, he clutched&nbs p;his side in pain and col apsed to ;the floor.
"Roks!" Zuru ran towards his medabot to try and get him back. "Oh no you don't!" The Samurai said drawing his sword. The Samurai almost immedia tely
appeared right in front of Zuru,&nb sp;about to slice him in half.
No!&nb sp;Not like this!
"Exor!" A lightning&nbs p;flash stretched through the now dark skies& nbsp;just as Sumilidon stepped in
front of Zuru. The sword stopped on his blade, just short of his neck. Koji visibly&nb sp;exhaled as
he saw how close Zuru ;and Sumilidon were to dying. "Sorry I h ad to cal you Exor, it was just&nb sp;
way faster to say than Su-mi-li-don." ;
"It's okay Koji, as long as everyone's& nbsp;saf-" a sharp kick from the samurai ;connected to
Sumilidon's face, sending him&n bsp;flying across the ruined car park.
Warning. Head medapart at 80% damage. "What kinda kick was that?" Koji asked&nb sp;seeing the damage spike on his medawatch.& nbsp;
Everyone's medawatches clicked data on t he medabots around.

"Hold up, weren't&nbs p;you just helping us to fight?" Metabee ;asked.
"This match is too dangerous for me, and I shal just slow you ;down!"
"No you won't!" DC yel ed. "Stand and fight you!"
"Unless you wanna turn tail and run, coward!" Banjo said& nbsp;with a sneer. Mr Referee ignored it ;
completely and continued.
"The rules ar e simple! The loser must give up one&nbs p;medapart and wil be at the mercy ;of the
winning side! Any number of ;medabots are al owed to join in but&nbs p;remember, no swapping
medaparts during batt le. Medafighters and medabots ready?"
The&nbs p;side of medafighters al nodded their heads in unison. The five medabots didn't&nbs p;seem
concerned at al .
"Don't you think the odds are a bit unfair yo u losers? Seventeen against five?" Koji point ed
out.
"It is unfair," the Twin-Sc issors said.
"Yeah, you need about 100&n bsp;of you before it's final y fair!" Qu een Bee finished off. "Now let me
p lay with you for a little while..."
"Medabots, roooooba..." Mr Referee barely finishe d before the Samurai was already slicing ;at
virtual y every single medabot on&nb sp;Ikki's side.
"Komandog, blast them with&nb sp;your beams!"
"Totaliser, use the Special&n bsp;Beam canon!" Both medabots fired their ca nons at the samurai at
once, but he simply jumped over both attacks. Blackbeetle and Kantaroth both ran forward to
attack him head on, but they were both&n bsp;knocked back before laying a single blow. The green

knight medabot then imme diately jumped into the sky, disappearing fro m view. As soon as
he left, the&nbs p;Twin-Scissors jumped forward and cut across ;Metabee.
"Metabee, missile launch!" Two miss iles rocketed out of Metabee's horns and ;landed true
against Twin-Scissors. Twin-Scissors& nbsp;back flipped out of the explosion almost completely
unharmed.
"What? What sort&n bsp;of medabots are these?" Kam asked as ;Blackbeetle got slashed to virtual y
no thing, with al parts shutting down. As& nbsp;soon as she col apsed, the green kn ight slammed
down on her back in a& nbsp;gigantic crash, splitting the pavement apart& nbsp;in a huge crater.
"Are ya feeling&n bsp;my Grand slam attack man? It's righteous& nbsp;aint it my brother?" Blackbeetle
barely& nbsp;had time to scream out in pain befo re her eyes shut down, fol owed by a clinking
medal.
"Two down, who's next?" Twin-Scissors said as he ripped his&nb sp;sword out of Totalizer's
stomach.
"No way... These things aren't medabots, they're Murderers!" Tak shouted as Queen Bee wa s
flying circles around Komandog, stabbing&nb sp;and torturing him the whole time instead&n bsp;of
finishing him instantly. Komandog was& nbsp;franticly blasting lasers al around him , whimpering at
al the pain he&nbs p;was going through.
"Something's not right&n bsp;here," Miss Nae said as her Earthkrona&nb sp;got tossed high into the air like
a paperweight.
"What do we do Miss&nbs p;Nae?" Ikki asked as fear crept through ;him again.
"Ikki, look at Queen Bee,&nb sp;have you noticed anything about how she&nb sp;attacks?"
"She stings her enemies, and&nbs p;then beats them up. From there, the ot hers finish the job."
Queen Bee shot&nbs p;herself up into the sky away from the& nbsp;mortal y wounded Komandog as the
Ro bo-Empress aimed her canons at him.
"But look at her stingers. Those aren't ordi nary daggers on there."
"So is it a poison?" Ikki asked already guessing somethi ng like that.
"Not exactly," Space Medaf ighter X stated as Arcbeetle and Aokshi tried dodging as many
Robo-Emperor missiles&n bsp;as possible. "It's not poison, it's an&nb sp;amplifier."
"An amplifier?"
"The venom&nbs p;on her arms can increase certain senses&nbs p;in medabots, such as touch, sight, and ;
others. Medabots have limits as to how& nbsp;much pain they can feel while in a& nbsp;battle. So that the
pain doesn't be come unbearable after being hit. Even the&nbs p;standard non-lethal ammunition

can become&n bsp;excruciatingly painful. The ten days of d arkness is proof to that, with thousands ;
of lives being lost. Her venom increase s the sense of touch medabots normal y&n bsp;have, making
each attack they take s heer torture. Having an ejected medal is ;no longer like being knocked
out, it&nb sp;is a near death experience!"
"But why would they do that?" Karin asked as&nbs p;soon as she ordered Neutranurse to heal&nbs p;the
wounded medabots. "It doesn't help ;anybody."
"It's to lower our morale," K am said. "A sneaky tactic at that. If&nb sp;our medabots get too
damaged, they'l stop functioning early from the shock o f being hit like that. Once the others&n bsp;
realise what's happening, they'l turn&nb sp;tail and run. Very effective."
"Stop talking like you're impressed by this!" Erika screamed grabbing Kam's col ar in rage.
"Think of a way to beat it!"
"Wel as a former evil genius, I&nb sp;have to give respect to such things. It's part of my job."
"How do we&nb sp;beat it?!"
"You can't beat it," Zuru& nbsp;said plainly as his glasses misted over. Everyone turned to him for
an expl anation. "Those five have better teamwork the n al of us. Fighting them together ;
would be suicide. We have to separate&n bsp;them from the strongest members. Honey Be e is
strong, but she's support. On her own she's useless. Grand Slam is way too powerful for
anyone but 'the b ig bad four' to handle. If we can g et Arc-Dash, Arcbeetle, Tyrel beetle, and
Redrun to attack Grand Slam at once, w e can beat him. We know how the oth er three fight,
so you guys can han dle them. Ready guys?"
"Right!"
Space&nb sp;Medafighter X stared down at Zuru with&nbs p;an unreadable look on his mask.
Thi s kid is real y good at analysing s ituations. If Me and Akia get taken out, he may be the
most useful person&n bsp;here next to Ikki and Karin. Speaking&nbs p;of which, Karin real y is useful
here...
Karin was repairing the shut ;down medabots with Miss Nae herself while&nb sp;Neutranurse was
shielding everybody from G rand Slam and Robo-Empress.
"Alright Metabee, Action mode! Windsail, fly in with him! "
"Tyrel beetle, action mode!"
"Arc-Dash , action mode!" The medabots shifted their&nb sp;medaparts, matching them rapidly
together in place onto wheels while Windsail barrel&nb sp;rol ed through the air after them wit h her
sword. A barrage of missiles smashed into the ground around the medabots&n bsp;as they dodged
blast after blast. Gr and Slam swung his gargantuan blade at t he ground, splitting the

pavement apart. Shock waves spread through the ground s ending a wave of rising earth
towards&nb sp;the attacking group. Windsail swooped down ;and grabbed Metabee, tossing him up
awa y from the ground. Arc-Dash got hit righ t in the face by the rising wal &nb sp;of dirt, tossing him
far backwards in to Arcbeetle. Tyrel beetle immediately dived over the dirt with his fist held
ba ckwards aiming at Grand Slam.
"Now you'r e finished! Eat my Dynamic punch!"Grand&nbs p;Slam stiffened his entire body.
"My br other, ya can't beat me!" Grand Slam bro ught up his sword to shield himself.
Tyrel beetle brought his fist down on the sword trying to smash the whole thin g in half. "I told
ya you can't..." The two medabots exploded in a burst&nb sp;of flames, engulfing them both.
Everything around them blew up into tiny pieces&nb sp;as bits of metal shrapnel flew around ;the
battleground. Grand Slam flew backwards& nbsp;gripping his sword tightly with burn mar ks al over
his body. His sword&nbs p;was cracked in the middle. Tyrel beetle&nbs p;fol owed after him, jumping to
him&nbs p;in the sky. The two titans kept flying higher into the sky from their leaps.&n bsp;"Whoa, that
was solid my brother! Ho lding one of those missiles in your hand while you punched me to
send us&nb sp;both sky high. Righteous! And so that ;we wouldn't see what you did, you grabb ed
the missile while you were behind&nbs p;my earth wal . You've got talent my&nb sp;friend, but it won't be
nothing again st the one and only, Grand Slam!" The&nb sp;two landed with a crash on top of&nbs p;the
flying saucer, far beyond everyone's&nb sp;view. Zuru pressed a button on his me dawatch and a
holographic field appeared ;showing him everything Tyrel beetle could se e. Redrun, Arc-Dash
and Arcbeetle jumped ;after them.
"Good luck guys," Brass sai d as she watched them leave.
"Little&nbs p;girl, focus on the fight at hand!" Bra ss turned around quickly bringing her arms&nb sp;up to
stop the hit. A lightly ar moured leg flung sideways towards her stomach . Brass doubled over
as something inside smashed from the impact. While she was& nbsp;bent over, a sword swung
down on&nb sp;her neck. A bright white light flashed&nbs p;through the air, blinding everybody. When t he
light cleared up, Whitesword and Twin -Scissors were standing over the fal ing ;body of Brass.
A large cut was spa rking on her neck and her medal was ;on the floor next to her.
100% damage to head medapart. Functions ceased.&nbs p;
"Did you enjoy my show?" Twin-Scissors ;said with malice dripping from his voice.&nb sp;
"Excel ent kick Twin-Scissors," Whitesword ;said with his own sword dripping with o il.
"Although I hope they enjoyed my&nbs p;blade. A little, 'trick of the light'."&nbs p;
A trick of the light? Spyke tho ught to himself. I've heard that line ;before...
"Like my attack? A little,& nbsp;'trick of the light'..."
"The Quickf lash Slash!" Spyke and Sloan both yel ed out at once. "Everyone, you can't win&n bsp;
against that attack! It's almost at light speed!"

"So what do we do?"&n bsp;Koji asked.
"Yeah dude, what's your plan?" Rintarou said getting more and more&nb sp;frustrated.
"Yeah genius, give us some&nbs p;intel about this guy!" DC said gritt i ng his teeth as Chrome was
being to ssed around by multiple Quickflashes. Chrotojil&nb sp;got knocked into the air one last tim e
before Queen Bee flew towards him.&nbs p;
"I almost feel sorry for you... anyways, goodbye!" Queen Bee flew just undern eath where
Chrotojil was about to land&n bsp;and put both of her arm stingers up& nbsp;above her.
"Chrotojil, nooo!" An unimagi nable scream of pain screeched through the&nb sp;air, clawing on
everyone's eardrums search ing for a release from its torture. Ever yone was speechless. The
two stingers we re going straight through Chrotojil's back an d out through his stomach. His
eyes ;were stretched wide, far larger than they&nb sp;were programmed to go and with an
unimaginable expression of horror. The points&nb sp;of each stinger were needle thin while&nbs p;the base
was the same thickness as&nbs p;a common basebal bat. Both of them&nb sp;were the length of
someone's forearm. ;The stingers were coated in a red stick y liquid. Obviously the pain
enhancing p oison.
"Chrome!" DC shoved past everyone ;to get to Chrome's petrified body. Before&nb sp;he could run
ten steps, Twin-Scissors ;almost teleported to him, punching him hard& nbsp;in the gut with his
hammer fist.&nb sp;DC doubled over as the wind escaped h is lungs.
"Teenagers... They're al so&n bsp;immature." DC col apsed on the floor,&nbs p;clutching his stomach in
agony. He was on the verge of tears, barely able ;to keep it in after the hit he too k and
Chrome's condition. "Who do you&nb sp;think you are? You think you're a her o? You think just
because he's your ;'friend' that you can save him? That th rough sheer wil power, guts, and a
bit of luck, you can overcome anything? What jokes. Let me tel you this no w kid. Dreams
and hopes, they're just&nb sp;a fairy tale told in bad shounen anim e and in movies. It may sound
harsh , but I don't real y care. It's the truth that I have experienced with my&n bsp;own medal. None
of your determination&nbs p;is worth a thing, if you don't have&nb sp;power. Not money and fortune, but
tru e power. You and your friends can never& nbsp;defeat me without power." DC col apsed&n bsp;onto the
floor, barely conscious as he realised that even after al of that, his breath hadn't come back
yet.&n bsp;The world slowly started fading out for&n bsp;him as he ignored everything he just ;heard,
trying with the last of his ;strength to crawl to his friend.
"This& nbsp;is nothing..." He gasped as he coughed&n bsp;out a fistful of blood. "This is not hing
compared... to what Chrome is feeli ng right now. I'd take this every day,&n bsp;twice a day... if it
meant that ;Chrome was OK.." Twin-Scissors looked down a t him with what looked like a
raise d eyebrow. Queen Bee who was twisting he r stingers around inside Chrome's back,
looked to see the stubborn kid on the&nb sp;floor.
"Oh you would?" Queen Bee said jeeringly. "And why would you do that?"

"Because... Excuse me if the word& nbsp;is wrong, as I stil find Japanese& nbsp;hard but... We're
Nakama!"
"Oh? So& nbsp;you do know Japanese huh? Nakama? Him?&n bsp;He wasn't worth it at al . Making&nb sp;him
your medabot."
"Don't talk about& nbsp;him like that!" DC clutched his side&nbs p;as he felt it start to throb with ;pain. His
other hand clenched tightly, with his nails digging into his palm. Bl ood trickled down his hand
as his s kin was punctured. "I know that that the power of wil alone isn't enough t o save
anybody. Look at me. I'm not al that strong, only fourteen. No ;real skil s. I need power, if I want to win. But to get that power,&n bsp;it's impossible for me. I need a dif ferent kind of power."
"A different powe r?"
"You wouldn't understand if I told&n bsp;you... It trumps everything you have!" DC rol ed away to
the side, barely&nb sp;dodging the sword that was swinging down&n bsp;to execute him. Kicking himself
back ;up in a spurt of energy, he ran to wards Queen Bee and Chrome. Whitesword steppe d in
the way.
"Who do you thin k you..."
"Shut up!" DC slid unde rneath the arcing sword blade and almost ;instantly afterwards,
snapped the medabot's wrist backwards, stealing the sword in the&nb sp;process. Charging forward
with the new&nbs p;weapon, he dashed towards Queen Bee. "No w you're finished! Take this!"
Remembe r what Big bro said. Use your feet to your advantage. Crouch down low, swing&nbs p;up
using the swords momentum. Push wit h your feet. Aim for the neck. Don't&nbs p;swing, push.
Whole body movement here. ;Here goes!
Queen Bee let out a ;sinister laugh as she tossed Chrome towards& nbsp;DC. DC quickly dodged
around Chrome,&nbs p;stil swinging for Queen Bee's neck. "Pathetic..." DC froze in his tracks.
"What? My sword... It stopped!" The sword he was swinging stopped entirely in&nbs p;the air.
Queen Bee was giggling like&n bsp;a little girl.
"So weak... You're so ooo weak." The blade of the sword was&nb sp;stopped in the air. One of Queen
Bee's fingers alone was stopping the entire& nbsp;blade.
"No way! The whole blade stopped by your index finger?!" DC jumped back instantly,
trying to get as m uch distance as he possibly could from h er.
No way... The accuracy and power& nbsp;needed to stop a sword in mid strik e with only your
finger... That kind&nbs p;of power shouldn't exist!

Before h e could launch a second attack, five mis siles flew towards him. Two massive
expl osions blew up the dirt al around DC. As the dust cleared, he was nowhere& nbsp;to be seen.
Koji was holding him&nb sp;back with the rest of the group which had been bombarded with attacks
the&nbs p;whole time. Queen Bee flew into the ai r slowly with an air of power around&nbs p;her.
"Let me show you what real p ower is. Not that joke you cal rob attle spirit! I am Queen Bee!
You c annot..."
Two missiles exploded against her.& nbsp;
"Now Windsail, this is your chance!"&nbs p;
Windsail flew around her with an impro vised cord, lassoing her tightly. Metabee the n drove to
the two of them in action mode at ful speed. Windsail toss ed the rope down at him, tying it to his horns. Metabee then shot of w ith Queen Bee unwil ingly trailing behind&nbs p;on the ground.
"Leave Queen Bee alone! " Twin-Scissors screamed as he leaped to ;stop Metabee.
"Earthkrona! Now!"
The gr een tank medabot skidded in front of the two intervening medabots with purple shields
on her arms.
"You guys are go ing nowhere!" She said as she awaited Mi ss Nae's orders.

"Metabee,&nb sp;this place is good!"
"Alright."
"Like I'd let you keep dragging me anyway!"&n bsp;
Metabee stopped driving in the old p ark where everything started. Queen Bee strug gled to
untangle herself from the ropes& nbsp;binding her. After a brief struggle, she stood up with anger in
her eyes.&n bsp;"What kinda treatment was that?"
"Looks&n bsp;like everything's running smoothly," Ikki said as he caught up to Metabee and
Windsail. "Alright Metabee, are you ready?" ;
"I was manufactured ready!"
"Don't forg et me genius!"
"Would I ever do tha t?"

"Of course not," Metabee said. "With how annoying you are, we can't for get you!"
"Watch it Tin-can!"
Queen ;Bee looked in confusion at the fighting ;medabots and the hopeless medafighter trying ;
to calm them down.
"You do realise you have bigger problems, right?"
Metab ee and Windsail both glared at Queen Bee with an evil look.
"Shut up!" they both said together, then resumed argu ing. Queen Bee looked even more
confused than before.
"Hey, are you guys se riously ignoring me?"
"Yes!"
As i f Queen Bee wasn't there, they continued ;arguing. Queen Bee's eyes darkened as her&nb sp;
mood turned from bad to deathly. Her& nbsp;two stingers began dripping a red and&nb sp;purple fluid.
"You people... I'm the queen here... Don't take me lightly!"

The room was dark. She&n bsp;could barely see past her own nose. Samantha tried looking around
for some k ind of light. Nothing. From what she cou ld tel , she was suspended vertical y&nb sp;in the
air somehow. Samantha tried mo ving. No dice. Her hands and feet were&n bsp;completely bound by
something metal ic,&n bsp;but she couldn't tel what. Paic hit her like a monsoon.
I'm trapped ;in a dak scary room, with nobody to&nbs p;help me. It's cold, it's scary, my fee t hurt,
and I wanna go home! Just then, she remembered everything that had happened in the day. An inescapable sadness
crept over her as tears began&nb sp;flowing again.
Peppercat... I miss you.
With nobody watching, she didn't ha ve to worry about someone seeing he tear s.
I can't believe I'm saying this,&n bsp;but I wish Ikki was here. He'd think of some way to bail me
outta here.
Just then, a mechanical noise whirred through the room as a light open ed a few feet away. A
door of some sort. There were two shadows talking&nbs p;to eachother as the door shut behind them.

"...troublesome, I can assure you. Three Mega-Emperors weren't even enough!"&nbs p;
"Wel what did you expect? With h er being what she is, it wouldn't be&nbs p;easy."
"But she's a little girl. Maybe only ten. She shouldn't be that powerfu l yet."
"Wel that means we caught& nbsp;a nice little fishy eh?"
"Not a&nbs p;very pretty one though..."
