Ok, this is a small angst poem about Hinata and Naruto. Enjoy!

 

 

I can't run anymore

The amber colored you

Is so tender, even in my memories

You nodded when you smiled

You pointed out the shooting stars

I couldn't even say good-bye

Hinata, now 21, was sitting in a clearing in the forest. She was watching the shooting stars, just like that night. The night Naruto told her that he loved her. He had told her that he would always protect her. Liar. When she needed him the most he wasn't here.

Keep reproaching me, don't ever forgive me

Keep wounding me with these sharp pains

The dream I see at dawn is so sorrowful

That liar, the damn stupid liar, he'd promised. He had given his vow. And he never broke his promise; it was his nindo, his ninja way. She just had to have fallen in love with a fool and now she was paying the price.

When my heart finally beat

Tears rushed out and rocked my body

The chain that bound us rotted in the sea, never to return

Tears as bright as starlight dripped down her pale cheeks as she cried like a small child, like a little girl, like a forgotten love. Sasuke had return but Naruto didn't. When she saw the crimson blood and the dull orange jacket, she knew

The wheels start to turn and turn

And we drift apart

You stay still, but I am pushed forward

I don't want that to happen

Sasuke was now Hokage, Naruto's dream. If Naruto were here, he would have congratulated his biggest rival. If only it were possible. Sasuke was now her husband. If Naruto were here, he would have been jealous.

My heart aches, it hurts so much

But this pain is the only bond

Left between us

So I will cherish it

Sasuke was now a father. Naruto would have been ecstatic. The child's was Naruto, Naruto Uchiha.

You make me weak

You cause sleepless nights, you stir up my heart

You're a bad person, I don't like you

Because you make me lonely

You make it hard for me to be alone

Sasuke had considered Naruto his best friend, his rival, and his brother. Naruto had done the same. The name was fitting

If I decide to live, to reach out for tomorrow

I would be betraying you, I hurt you so

I can't sin anymore

When I've deserted you among the waves

When I've even forgotten how to smile

As the rain started to fall, hiding her tears, Hinata looked up. “Naruto, are you crying because your lonely are you laughing? I used to always know, but now, I'm lost” she whispered faintly. With that she took out a kunai

We were so close

I don't want to run away anymore

I can only move forward

Blood, crimson blood. Unbearable pain. Tears. Peace

No matter how dark the road may be

As Hinata faded in and out, she saw a figure in the distance, a figure wearing orange and with blond hair. A figure with open arms, waiting for her. “Naruto” Hinata whispered. Naruto nodded and showed his trademark grin that she so loved. And with that, without any regrets. Hinata ran, ran toward the light….and her true love

But because the rain is falling so hard

I can't see anything anymore

I can only drown, thinking of you
