Underneath the stars and the dark sky

When light fades from your crimson eyes

Only then will I realize that

Words will not come to mind

Now that I'm gone

I will never return for you

Never will you be mine

But my love will stay true

I can do nothing but watch you cry

Do nothing as you ask yourself why

Why you are now all alone

Why I will never return home

But I'm not here to stop your tears

I cannot return to hold you close

I cannot get rid of your fears

But you know that I still love you the most

I wish that I could kiss away your tears

Shelter you from your worst fears

Show my love to you in any way

I wish I could love you everyday

I wish I could feel your sweet lips on mine

And stand exposed out in the rain

I wish I could feel your breath, so fine

As I feel it ease away our pain

I wish I could caress your cheek

And whisper in your ear

“I love you with all my heart”

But I can still see your tears

I remember as both tongue and hands explored

We felt the sensual pleasure right down to the core

As they reached places never been before

We had the feeling that we finally cared

About the ones that you have affection for

And finally, I can say that you swear

That we had once achieved perfection

But not any more
