Situations arise
Antarctica, the place where the lilin race had discovered the white moon of the first angel. The place were all Lilith-based life in the surrounding area were destroyed as a result of Second impact.
This is due to the Anti A.T. Field which Adam was briefly able to spread between being awoken and exploding soon after; the ruins of Antarctica are now the true "Dead Sea".
In addition, the continent's ice shelf melted, raising the global sea level and the rest of the landmass was submerged by the sea.
All that is left of Antarctica now is a hostile landscape devoid of life, with the occasional pillar of salt protruding through the surface of the red ocean.
However even this place held a secret that was kept hidden behind a massive AT-Field. The AT-field had created a pocket dimension where the white moon was located.
The white moon or the egg of Adam that was thought to have in destroyed, had generated the AT-field upon Adams destruction and went from looking like a miniature moon to a crack egg shell.
Within the Field far above were the remains of the white moon was, sat a white castle that seemed to be the only ray of light at the center of the dark void inside within the AT-field. (Castle that never was)
Somewhere within the castle, in a circular room containing marble throne-like chairs that were pull up to a huge table, there sat thirteen individuals that where shrouded in darkness.
“It seems that Ramiel has met his end at the hands of the fallen child and the lilin as well.” One of the angels said to its brothers and sisters.
“…It seems that there are only fourteen of us remaining, as Uriel was defeated by the fourth child.” Other angel said.
It’s possible we may have underestimated them, and with the half-breed on their side and that bastard lurking about and the Shinju appearing in this dimension, we seem to be at a four way stalemate.”
“That being said aren’t you the one keeping an eye out at the school Israfel? Wouldn’t it be wise to attack them there?”
“I only make educated guesses based on the information I’ve gathered. To move in haste would only make us suffer more loss at this point.
“With the half-breeds awakening, it would be foolish to attempt to attack without first gathering more information Matarael.” Israfel said.
“So what you propose is that we just keep living like this, sneaking around for the rest of our lives!? Need I remind you that it was us that arrived to this planet centuries before the lilin!?” Matarael states.
“Hm All you’re interested in is going out there and cutting loose, seriously…. You should have thought about choosing a vessel with a higher capacity for intelligent though.” Israfel said.
“Ah, but you never had that kind of capacity to begin with did you?” the shortest angel in the room asked.
“What was that you little brat, why don’t you come over here and say it to my face!” Zeruel exclaims as he stood from his chair and slammed his hands down on the table, causing it to crack and break.
Matarael, Israfel! That’s is enough.” Tabris said gaining the others attention.
“We’ve confirmed the presence of other angels that work under that man appearing from the dimensional rift.” Tabris said.
“Now then Israfel as far as your “Other half” is concerned…” Tabris began only to be cut off by the child.
“I thought we agreed to leave my little sister out of this.” Israfel said with a menacing tone in his voice as he glared at Tabris with a murderous look in his eyes.
“It seems you’re just as scary as ever Israfel.” One of the other angels said, its voice sounding distinctly feminine.
“Anyway there is nothing wrong with that is there? As long as you work to cover her share as well, that is.” Other angel that sat to right beside the one that had spoken to Israfel.
This angel was also female and they both seemed to have eyes that glowed pure white.
“What are you up to Arael, Armisael? Israfel asked feeling suspicious of these two women that sat across from him.
“Regardless we are all agreed that we will not stand by as that man or the lilin take what is rightfully ours.” Another angel that went by the name Bardiel states.
As Matarael has stated, we were the first to land on this planet and we will be the ones at the top of the food chain.” The angel known as Sandalphon proclaims.
In our fathers name amen.” Leliel and Lreul said at the same time.
“Well it seems that we are all ready to begin.” Zeruel said to the angel that sat at the head of the table.
“We are carrying on what you yourself began, and creating a brand new world, for the true descendants of your legacy father." Zeruel proclaims.
Naruto had woken up to the familiar plain white ceiling of the hospital room at Nerv HQ. ‘Here again I see, I guess that transformation took a lot out of me.’ Naruto thought as he stand up.
“You have awaken Naruto-san?” Maya Ibuki said as she entered his room while holding a clipboard.
“Ah your Maya Ibuki am I correct?” Naruto asked while offering the girl a smile.
Maya was surprised that he actually remembered her name, since they had rarely ever got the chance to talk to each other.
“That me.” Maya said, as she smiled, happy that Naruto seemed to have remembered her name. Naruto then studied the petite woman before him as she went over his charts.
She was shorter than he was, had short brown hair, a slender body and a cute face. “Well you are the perfect picture of health, which means that you can leave at any time.” Maya said as Naruto got out of his hospital bed.
Naruto started doing some stretching before he turned his attention to Maya. “How are Rei and Shinji’s condition?” Naruto asked Maya.
“Both of their injuries were minor at best and they should make a full recovery and be up soon.” Maya reassured the half-demon.
“That’s great news, then I should go see them soon.” Naruto said as he placed his hand on his chest. Maya watched in awe as Naruto’s hand started to glow green as he scan his body for any irregularities.
“Hm nothing out of the ordinary it seems, everything is where it should be and my body seems even stronger now than it was before.” Naruto said while Maya stared at him with stars in her eyes.
“Naruto-san may I ask what it was that you just did?” Maya asked.
“Oh this, well I ran a scan on my body to chest to see if there was anything that was hidden that can become problematic in the long run.” Naruto informed her.
“This is what I used to heal Rei that day.” Naruto said referring to the day he first woke up in this world.
‘I see, that is a truly amazing ability, to be able to heal without the use of medical machines seems to be much more effective.
“Well that is true, but you need perfect chakra control and a fairly large pool of it, in order to be able to heal serious injuries.” Naruto informed her.
“To tell you the truth, my world was fairly advanced, however ever since my Onee-san had become the village’s leader, we started to use medical ninjutsu more often, because it was less risky and had better results.”
“There was suddenly a knock at the door and Naruto smiled as he sense who it was that was paying him a visit this early in the morning.
“We will have to finish this later Maya-san maybe over lunch, my treat.” Naruto said as he went to open the door.
There standing at the door was none other than Rei, her face set in an emotionless expression as usual.
“Good morning Rei, how are you feeling sweetheart?” Naruto asked as he let Rei into the room.
As soon as she step into the room, Rei turned her attention to Maya, causing said girl to take that as her queue to let them have some alone time.
“Well then I’ll leave you two alone so that you can catch up, now remember Naruto you must always be a gentlemen.” Maya said as she closed the door behind her.
After waiting ten seconds after Maya left, Rei turned towards Naruto, and gave him a smile and spoke. “Good morning.”
Naruto smiled back at her and took her hand in his and thought to himself. ‘An angel and a demon who devours angels… well I suppose that it’s alright.’
“Come on Rei-chan let’s go see Shinji-kun has woke up yet.” Naruto said as he led her to Shinji’s room by the hand.
Rei on the hand was once again reminded of what had happened that day Naruto had gotten her out of unit 00 and the night Naruto had come for her after they defeated Ramiel.
Shinji woke to the site of both Naruto and Rei sitting right next to his hospital been. At first he was confused as to where he was, but then the events of the night before came back.
“Is this going to happen every time we face an angel?” Shinji asked Naruto who just shrugged his shoulders.
“It possible, after all the next angel will no doubt be stronger than the last three we just killed.” Naruto informed Shinji who seemed to grow concerned by this.
“Hey don’t worry about it too much Shinji, Rei and I have your back.” Naruto said to reassure the child.
“Oh but that reminds me, Rei’s unit 00 will be out of commission until repairs are complete.” Naruto said as he remembered what Ramiel did to it.
“Well let’s just hope that we won’t have to fight anymore angels until then.” Shinji said.
Suddenly, the door to Shinji hospital room slammed open and there standing there was Misato, standing there and panting out of breath.
“Oh hey Misato what are you doing here?” Naruto asked as Shinji and Rei turned their attention to her. Then without warning, Misato walked over to the three children and enveloped them in a hug.
“Thank goodness you guys are alright, you had me so worried!” Misato exclaimed. Naruto, Shinji and Rei all stared at her in shock, before Naruto smiled and started patting her on the head.
“I apologize if we worried you Misato.” Naruto said as Shinji started to awkwardly pat her on the back and Rei just continued to allow herself to be hugged, since she was still unsure on what to do.
After about two minutes Misato let go of them and gave them a sad smile.
“Are you alright Misato?” Shinji asked starting to feel kind of bad that he made her sad.
“I won’t ask you not to do that again as I know it is likely to happen, but I just…” Misato however was cut off by Naruto who placed his finger on her lips.
“While I can promise you that we won’t end up in the hospital like this again Misato, I can promise you this, no matter what happens out there we will come back to you alive.” Naruto proclaimed.
Misato and Shinji were awe of the conviction in those words and they found that it wasn’t that hard for them to believe that Naruto could keep that promise, even though they were at war with the great threat the world has ever faced.
Misato smiled before she allowed Naruto to wrap his arms around her again and she thought.
‘Although I’ve only known them for a week and a couple of days, I know I can place my faith in Naruto, Shinji and Rei.’ Misato thought.
“Shinji watch the scene with a smile on his face and once again he decided that even though he was afraid to die and afraid to be a disappointment, he would do his best as along as Naruto and Rei were there.
Rei herself was thinking about the feeling she was experiencing as she watched Naruto comfort Misato. ‘What is this I am feeling? Is this what it means to be close to others and do I wish to be held as well.’
Suddenly, there was a collection of rumbling noises from three stomachs that hadn’t been filled in two days.
Shinji’s face turned bright red and Naruto along with Misato started to laugh, while Rei just sat there with a small and barely noticeable smile.
“Well I guess that since you three have been given the okay to leave now that you are fully healed, how’s about I treat us all to a steak dinner.” Misato said.
Naruto and Shinji were practically drooling at that the thought of streak, however there hopes were dashed when Rei spoke up.
“I don’t eat food from animals.” She said only for Misato to come up with the solution instantly. “Do not worry the place we are going to will make soup and other things without meat in it.” Misato informed her, causing Naruto and Shinji to sigh in relief.
“Then what are we waiting for, let’s go right now.” Naruto said.
“Master it appears that the other angels are on the move as we speak.” A disembodied voice informed Gendo who was sitting on his throne with Ritsuko on his lap.
“Perfect then it will be a matter of time before we can begin with our own plans as well.” Gendo said as the angel started to make a humming noise.
“Also it would appear that the rift that the demon child had passed through has been steadily growing in power.” Another slightly different disembodied voice said.
“This is most troubling, Azazel, Ambriel I want you two to keep watch over the rift and report to me when something happens.” Gendo told them.
“As you wish master.” The two angels said before leaving.
“So do you think that there is something else from the child’s world is coming from that rift?” Ritsuko asked her partner, while she played with his beard.
“That is certainly a possibility, if it happens then we will need to obtain it to use against the boy, and get him to come to our side.” Gendo said.
“And what if whatever it is can’t be controlled, what will you do then?” Ritsuko asked with a smug grin on her face, causing Gendo to glare at her through his visors.
“Then it shall be disposed of accordingly, as will everything that stands in the way of my goals.” Gendo informed her.
‘That includes you as well Akagi.’ He thought as the woman started kissing him.
‘Don’t think that you will get the better of me like, you did with that other me, I will use you and through you away like a piece of trash.’ Ritsuko thought as she started to undo his pants.
Shinji and Gendo could be found at the gravesite of Shinji’s mother. The gravesite was a hill barren of any plant life and instead was just a place with countless large metal rods sticking out of the ground.
“How long has it been since we last came here together, three years?” Gendo asked Shinji.
“Ya…ya the last time for me was when I ran away, it still doesn’t seem real to me that mom is buried here, I can’t even remember her face.” Shinji said as he placed a bouquet of flowers on her grave with her name engraved on it.
“People let their memories fade in order to move on, although there are something’s we must never forget, your mother taught me how to be grateful for these memories and I come here to remind myself how much they matter.” Gendo informs Shinji.
“Do you still have a picture of her?” Shinji asked.
“They were all destroyed and even this grave is empty… nothing remains.” Gendo tells Shinji who already knew this to be true.
“So you got rid of everything, my teacher said you would.” Shinji said.
“Every I need is in my heart and mind and that will have to do for now.” Gendo informs the boy.
They stay there for another ten minutes before a propellerless NERV helicopter came to get Gendo.
“It’s time now, I am needed else were.” Gendo said as he turns his back to Shinji and started walking towards the helicopter.
Shinji watched as the aircraft took off and then turned to walk towards Misato who was waiting for him.
With a somber look on his face and without saying a word Shinji got into her car and they drove off.
After about twenty minutes of silence, Misato decided to try and break the silence although what she got was pretty much expected.
“You see Shinji, I know that you were freaked out about it, but it was a lot easier than you though it would be right?” Misato asked Shinji who was staring out the window with a vacant expression on his face.
“And it was important that the two of you do this together, I mean it was a visit to your mother’s grave.” Misato said.
“I only went because you dragged me out here.” Shinji said.
“I didn’t force you, you know that deep down you wanted to come, be honest with yourself.” Misato said.
“If I did that I would only end up more miserable.” Shinji said just wanting to get back to the home he shared with Naruto Rei, and Misato ask it was his only comfort.
“Now how can you still be so hard on yourself after you help save humanity? You have to believe in yourself, just as Naruto, Rei and I do.” Misato said.
“I am sure your dad does as well, especially after everything that you have done.” Misato said.
While Shinji was visiting his mother’s grave with Gendo, Naruto was forced to go to school today.
Since he wasn’t in the mood to sit in class he made a clone to stay in class while he decided to spend the day sleeping on the roof.
Suddenly, Naruto was awoken from his slumber by the screams of a girl who was falling out of the sky. ‘A gift from the gods?’ Naruto thought still half asleep.
“Get out of the way!!” The girl screamed causing Naruto to jump to his feet and catch her. When she rammed into Naruto, he fall onto his back with her falling on top of him, and their lips locked in a kiss.
Her parachute landed on the schools roof gate and she lost her helmet. Mari stared into Naruto deep blue eyes in surprise as kissed and she inhaled his scent.
Mari then sat up with a confused look on her face and as she straddling, Naruto began to study her appearance.
Mari was a very cute girl, looking to be about the same age as him, with a pretty face and an hour glass figure with a pretty generous bust line for a girl her age.
However what through Naruto for a loop about the girl is the fact that she had twin cat ears growing out from the top of her head even though she had two human ears.
‘Well that’s not something you see every day… says the child who once had a giant fox sealed in his belly.’ Naruto though.
Suddenly, Mari touched her face and realized that her glasses were gone. “Eh!!” she exclaimed before getting off of Naruto and started searching for her glasses.
“Dammit where are my glasses?” She asked as she looked blindly around for them.
“You should check more to your left.” Naruto told the girl as he stared at the cat tail that was sticking out from her skirt.
‘Cat ears, a tail, a fine body and big breast, this girl seems to be the embodiment of a hardcore otaku’s wet dream.’ Naruto noted as she put her glasses back on and look back towards him.
“Oh thanks you for helping me and I’m sorry for ramming into you like that, are you okay?” she asked her voice sounded very pleasing to the ears.
“Ah don’t worry about a thing sweetheart I’m perfectly fine.” Naruto said while holding up his fist causing her to giggle.
Suddenly, they were interrupted by the sound of something vibrating in her bag.
Mari opened the bag and pulled out, what Naruto recognized was a phone and answered it while speaking in a foreign language.
“Yes this Mari go ahead…. It seems that the wind blew me off target…. It looks like I landed on a school of some sort… What?! Well you were the one who told me to enter into japan covertly.” Mari said.
Naruto had no idea what the hell she was saying but this language seemed to interest him so he decided to continue to listen.
“Hey that’s not my problem that is something for you and the Euro people to work out…. Look just make sure you are there for my extraction okay thanks.” Mari said before hanging up the phone.
“Mari then looked towards Naruto. She got down on her hands and knees, then began crawling towards him licking her lips and letting Naruto catch a glimpse of the fangs in her mouth.
Mari then claims on Naruto and begins to sniff him. “You smell good.” She told him.
“Like LCL one of my favorite smells in the world and like a fox, I like it.” Mari said as she lean back to stare hazily into Naruto deep blue eyes.
“What a coincidence, you smell like LCL, a cat and seem to have the ears and tail to go with it, although you won’t hear me complaining.” Naruto said causing Mari to lick his whisker marks and then stand up.
“You interest me so got a name foxy-kun.” Mari asked as Naruto stood up and straightened his clothes.
“You know its common courtesy to give your own name before asking someone else, however it’s my job to be the gentleman. Naruto said.
“My name is Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze.” He introduced himself, while giving her a formal bow.
“Now then may I learn the name of the beautiful young woman that stands before me?” Naruto asked.
“Why certainly, you may call me Mari Illustrious Makinami, I’ll be seeing you again sometime soon foxy-kun.” Mari said before blowing Naruto a kiss and then leaving.
‘Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze huh, HQ said nothing about a fifth child, I suppose I should look into this.’ Mari thought as she run down the stairs with her parachute in hand.
(Rei)
Rei could be found in an LCL-filled tube underneath a structure resembling a giant brain in the Dummy System room.
The circular wall of this room looks to be covered with DNA sequences, however if you were to look carefully you would find that the tank is in fact is filled with something else entirely.
At first Rei had never really had an opinion of this place that much, however she had just recently discovered that she hated this place more than anything.
To Rei it was a reminder that in the end, she could always be replaced if she were to fail.
Yes in the end Rei is a bitterly unhappy girl with little sense of presence… that is until she met Naruto, who seems to acknowledge her existence and treats her like a normal human girl.
As she is spending her time in there, Gendo is stand before the tube watching.
Suddenly, and much to Gendo’s surprise Rei smiled for a split second, however once Gendo blinked the smile was gone.
‘It can’t be, I must have imagined that.
After parting ways with Kensuke and Toji, Naruto had decided to head straight home when he had ran into Rei who was coming from Nerv HQ.
The two gave each other a smile and had decided to just quietly walk to the house while enjoying each other’s company.
As they walked in silence, Rei glanced down at Naruto’s hand and then she look back to hers. She really wanted to try holding hands with him again as she found it comforting in a strange way.
She wouldn’t reach for his hand, though as she didn’t want to be a bother to the only person who treated her like a normal girl and even though he had did it before, she was still very hesitant.
Naruto noticed but decided he wanted to see if she would just go for it, however by the time they had gotten to the front door of their home, much to his disappointment she couldn’t muster up the courage.
So with a dejected look on his face, Naruto opened the door and called out to Misato and Shinji.
“We’re home!!” Naruto exclaimed as he and Rei took off their shoes and entered the house.
“Welcome home, dinner will be ready soon!” Shinji called out to them.
Naruto, Rei you sure took your time getting back, you know I would have starved waiting all day for you had Shinji not have been able to cook!” Misato complained before taking a swig of her Sake.
“Heehaw!! *burp* that hit’s the spot, there is nothing like an ice cold beer after a hot bath!” Misato exclaims.
Naruto stared at Misato with a deadpanned expression on his face and he was about to curse her out, when Shinji decided to be the one to put her in her place.
“What’s wrong with coffee? Shinji asked while glaring at Misato who looked shocked for a split second before she started leaning on forward in her chair.
“What? You got a problem with tradition? Misato asked. “Yeah I’ve got a problem with your tradition.” Shinji said as he finished and turned towards her.
“Oh this is getting good.” Naruto said to Rei who just stared at both Shinji and Misato with a blank expression on her face.
“Excuse me!” Misato asked having a hard time believing what Shinji just said.
“And incidentally, just whose turn was it supposed to be to cook to day?” Shinji asked causing Misato to growl in annoyance.
“Well now I know why a woman your age is still single, you’re going to be an old maid Misato.” Shinji said in an as a matter of fact tone of voice.
Naruto was trying real hard not to just start laughing his ass off, however this seem to be failing as this one-sided battle continued.
Rei turned her focused to Naruto and wanted to know what was so amusing about the situation before them.
“Are you saying I’m lazy?” Misato asked as her left eye started twitching while Shinji just stood there with a calm look on his face.
“Not just lazy but sloppy to.” Shinji said as Naruto couldn’t contain it any longer and just started laughing out loud.
“Oh just leave me alone.” Misato said realizing that she had just lost an argument to someone fifteen years younger than her.
*Dramatic sigh* “The food will be on the table after you guys go wash up.” Shinji told a still chucking Naruto and a confused Rei.
“Oh shut up!!” Misato exclaimed which caused Naruto to laugh even harder.
Pen-pen who was sitting on to the right side of Misato sipping sake through a straw, pulling his head back a started to squawk with laughter much to Misato dismay.
“Not you too Pen-chan!!” Misato whined.
As soon as they all finished eating dinner, they had all decided to just sit in the living room and watch some anime.
Naruto had decided to introduce them to an anime that he felt was similar to their current situation, called Rahxephan.
They were five episodes in when Rei fell asleep, much to Naruto’s surprise as she started to lean on his shoulder in her sleep.
Naruto picked Rei up bridle style and carried her to her room. He had a clone pull back the covers and made sure to tuck her in.
Naruto smiled down at her and brushed her bangs out of her face before leaving out of the room.
Next to go to bed was Shinji and that left only Naruto and Misato.
“I think I’m going to go out for some fresh air.” Misato said as she walked into the kitchen and headed for the door.
“Hold on Misato, I’ll go with you.” Naruto said as he came after her.
“You know you shouldn’t, we have to report in early in the morning.” Misato said as they both walked out the door.
“I could always just make shadow clones to stand in for us while we sleep in.” Naruto suggested.
“But doesn’t that only work for you, how are Shinji, Rei and I going to use it?” Misato asked.
“It’s quite simple but, we will just have to wait until tomorrow.” Naruto said.
“What but why not show me now?” Misato whined causing Naruto to just shake his head.
“Because we are out here in the middle of the night, that’s why.” Naruto told her. Annoyed by this Misato started pouting, which caused Naruto to chuckle in amusement.
After a while Misato started to laugh as well and then after they had stopped, they both smiled at each other.
“Hey Naruto would you care to listen to my story, about a child who had survived and yet lost every dear to her during the second impact?” Misato asked Naruto surprising him.
Stopping it here because I want this conversation to be in the next installment as it will be what kick starts their relationship.
Mari made her appearance early and it seems like everyone is on opposite sides with the children at the center excluding Naruto who alone is one of the .major powers
“It seems that Gendo and his angels are ready as well as the children of Adam.
As for Mari’s extra features, well I decided to add some elements from the evangelion light novel Anima and add my own spin on things.
In the light novel Mari is actually a child experiment that was given the genes from various animals.
She and one of the Rei sisters are best friends and I am thinking about doing a sister arc just like in Anima and a certain magical index/ scientific railgun.
If that happens I “may” be adding at the very least two or three sisters in the harem.
