Dandelions
I remember what I first wished for on one of those. I think it was for Mommy not to have to work so hard. I also remember when they first told me that myth adults liked to tell kids of that age.
“If you make a wish then blow out the dandelion, your wish will come true.”
Being such a learned person at the age of 6, I did not believe such nonsense. But whenever I saw a dandelion I blew one out - just in case.
I still do it now out of force of habit. Just in case I happen to be wrong one day.
