Hello everyone!
It's me Sakura. Last time I talked to you all I finally passed the test to become
a pokemon trainer. Some questions were hard and some were easy. My best friend,
John, also passed which came as no surprise to me.
I did however recieve a surprise when I went to say good bye to Aki-sensei
and he said he thought i would become a master. It felt extremely good to hear that
from him.
Today I get to choose my starting pokemon. I'm not sure who I'll pick yet but
I'm sure they'll be the best. Well enough of my rambling time to get on with the
show!
Sakura's Quest
Chapter 1: Taming Fury
I moaned groggily as I lift my head from the pillow and glare at the alarm clock
going haywire on my nightstand. Who in the right mind would wake up at five in
the morning on a Saturday?! Then I suddenly remembered about getting my license
and jumped form the twin bed that had been my own for quite awhile.
"Jesus Sakura and I thought your father was a late sleeper." A woman's voice
sonded from the doorway. She had fushcia hair like me but green eyes. This was of
course my mother, Rose Birch.
"Gomen mom now I need to get dressed." I said as I slip off my tank top and head
to the dresser. I pull out a red tank top and khaki pants. Yeah don't give me that
look. Just because I'm gonna be traveling doesn't mean I shouldn't look my best.
Twenty minutes later I was wolfing down some eggs, bacon, and orange juice. A
girls gotta eat right? I pushed myself away from the table and hug my mom. "I'm
gonna miss you mom." I said. I knew I was crying. "Don't be so sad it's not like
you're leaving forever. This will always be your home."

Professor Selena Ivory's pokemon lab was easily the largest thing in Ako Village.
The main building was creme colored and rectangular while actual lab was a dome
plus the lab was surrounded by acres of forests giving the pokemon plenty of space.
The ceremony would take place in the lab.
The inside was amazing. They're were computers and okeballs and all sorts of
interesting things. But what caught my attention was the group standing in the
center.
Their was a woman in her mid thirties with long brown hair tied back into a
ponytail, this was Salena Ivory, an OLD man with a little gray hair left, a man in his
late thirties with brown hair this was Professor Elm , and finally another woman in
her mid thirties Professor Felina Ivy.
Sitting in a group of tables were nine other kids. I knew who the were instantly, the
nine others who had passed the final exam. I spotted John and sat down beside him,
then he casually waved and mouthed hello before returning his attention back to
Professor Ivory.
"Now that we are all here we will first display each of the pokemon before choosing
your starters. As you can see, each pokemon has been placed into a tank for them to
get to know you."

I had never been so nervous in my life. I peered down into each one of the tanks. So
far, it would be between Pikachu, Squirtle, and Cyndaquil. I looked back at the fire
mouse seriouslly considering choosing her so in the end i made up my mind.
<Hello who are you?> It asked looking upat me or at least i think she was

"Get out of the way runt this is my pokemon!" A gruff voice said knocking me away
from Cyndaquil.
I looked up to see a talll boy with wild red hair standing over Cyndaquil's tank.
"Hey watch it!"
"Oh and what do you think you can do about it?" He sneered
"Is there a promblem here Damion?" Another voice sounded from behind us.
"No Aunt Selena it's just this girl was looking at my Cyndaquil." he said shooting
me a very nasty look.
"Well it isn't yours yet and plus since Sakura had the second highest score on the
exam there is very little chance you will get than pokemon."
"Yes mam"
"Good well you two you beter choose quickly the ceremony will begin in five
minutes." She said before turning oin her heel and leaving.
"Listen you don't you even think about picking this pokemon." With that he left to
probably harass someone else.
"What a jerk." I muttered glaring at his back. I looked over to my right to see John
talking to Professor Elm about the Squirtle.

It's now or never. I watch anxiously as John stepped forward to recieve his Squirtle
which had been recalled into it's poke ball, his cobalt blue pokedex and several other
poke balls.
"Birch, Sakura" Professor Oak said as I stood up in a daze. My ears were ringing,
my palms and forehead were sweating badly, and I was afraid I might collapse in a
dead faint. Then I saw John flash me a reassuring smile out of the corner of my eye.
I moved directly over to Cyndaquil and picked her up. Professor Ivory recalled her
into an empty pokeball and hand me a titanium silver pokedex.
I son't remember much from the rest of the ceremony just the pokemon being
handed out then walking out the door with John. Then Aki-sensei's words came
flooding back to me. The road to becoming a master is never easy. Well I was sure I
would handle any challeneges m journey wwould throw at me.
"Hey Sakura" John said as we were heading towards Route 50.
"Yes?"
"Are you going to nickname Cyndaquil?"
"Thanks for reminding me John." I pulled Cyndaquil's pokeball from my belt and
realised her.
<Hi Sakura>
"Hey Cyndaquil how would you like a nickname? How about Fury."
<Oh I like that.>
Then I decided to just let Fury stay out of her pokeball. I knew becoming a master
would be hard but I would overcome it with the help of John and Fury.
